We celebrated our anniversary at 2120 and it was one of the best dining experiences we've had in Seattle. The cocktails alone are worth the visit. The Old Fashioned was phenomenal, but the true standout was the Tequila Pho cocktail. I've never had anything like it--it genuinely tasted like you were drinking a bowl of fresh pho in the best possible way. It may honestly be our new favorite cocktail ever. The food was outstanding from start to finish. The oysters were, without question, the best we've ever had, and we've tried oysters all over the country. The smoked salmon crudo was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. My oxtail pappardelle was rich, flavorful, and perfectly executed, while my wife absolutely loved the Thai coconut curry with scallops. To finish the evening, 2120 surprised us with an amazing anniversary dessert featuring warm donuts, fresh chocolate cream, and caramel sauce, along with a celebratory glass of champagne. It was a thoughtful touch that made an already memorable evening even more special. 2120 offers free parking weekdays after 4pm and on weekends in the Amazon Day 1 garage which is great. It's easy to get into and there's both indoor and outdoor patio seating. The ambiance is pretty nice yet not super fancy - great for a company get together or dinner with clients. Staff were pretty friendly and kept checking in on our table. The first thing I noticed was that the food was on the pricier end. Food was plated nicely and the food was pretty good. I really liked the burrata and mushroom arancini. Entrees were solid. Dessert was great - there was a seasonal apple pie ice cream and a banana bread pudding. OVerall, 2120 is a big on the pricier and the food is pretty solid for a company get together. This place is confused on what it wants to be. It charges you to make a reservation. Charges you about $20 a cocktail. And charges you between $34 and $60 for food. These are high end prices for mediocre food. At $68 for steak, it should be cooked right the first time. Medium rare doesn't mean cool blue raw. The steak was cooked more however it was difficult to cut through. I had to exert a lot more force than necessary to cut this steak. Too much sauce on bottom and top of steak. The asparagus was those thick stalked asparagus. Which is typically NOT served in restaurants. Also brocollini. These were tender crisp. Again, had really exert force to cut through them. The food: we ordered the 10oz prime steak - the steak itself was good, but they serve it with a chili bernaise sauce, sauce tastes good, but it was swimming in it. So all I could taste was the sauce. It was served with fingerling potatoes and carrots, potatoes were tasty, the carrots were an afterthought. Mac and cheese was okay - I feel like it needed more cheese , it had a a lot of pepper so it tasted more like a cacio e pepe , which was fine just not Mac and cheese. King salmon - delicious. Entrees: King salmon - cooked perfectly Smoked salmon rellette - sauces up top is delicious and paired well with the salmon Seared scallops - hands down the best I've had. The spices on it is so delightful that the manager told us it's a Moroccan spice and it paired well with it. Wow! Must try! Pork Shank - meat was tender and it just melts in your mouth. Food took a lot longer than expected. Fries were decent. Oysters were ok. Cocktail menu was varied and unique. Clam pappardelle was not good. Extremely dry and flavorless like a saltless ocean? My dish did not resemble what the business owner uploaded. Their photo has plenty of sauce and it looks fresh and moist. Mine? Looks like it got left under a heat lamp and dried into a desert. Server was nice, a little awkward, sometimes a little too friendly. They forgot part of our orders, although understandable, since we were a larger group. I made a reservation online at least a few weeks before our scheduled dinner. I like that on OpenTable they give you the option to specify whether your dining occasion is a special event or not. It was nice because when we arrived, there was a little card for my SO's birthday from the staff. We were seated on the patio, which was dog friendly and always nice for canine owners. Our table was right in front of the open doorframe between the indoor and outdoor so people were always moving in and out around us and it made my other half a bit anxious. Our server was excellent throughout our evening. We had brussels sprouts and appetizer which were delicious and would highly recommend. Dinner itself was also pretty great. Their current menu online does not match what was on the menu that evening, but I think they rotate their dishes quite frequently. The real winner of the evening was the little birthday dessert they brought out. I honestly would come here just to eat these donuts. They paired very nicely with a little chocolate mousse that we shared. My husband also ordered a carrot cake, but the order didn't seem to make it to the kitchen so when we eventually got it, they comped it. It wasn't necessary at all, but it was a nice gesture. Wow! It's simple to say but hard to beat. We have had a gift card for 2.5 years and decided today was the day. We enjoyed every moment we were there. We were greeted so very kindly and were early for our early for our reservation and we were escorted to a great table! It was our anniversary celebration so were Looking forward to this dinner. We showed up earlier than our reservation (classic) and were fully expecting to awkwardly hover by the door, but the staff was super friendly and got us seated with zero attitude. I ordered the Grilled Octopus, their Christmas Eve special Prime Rib and Yule Log dessert. The grilled octopus was the best dish of the night. Seasoned to perfection and was extremely tender! I'd go back just for that dish! Strongly recommend! The prime rib was good. It was well seasoned and the mashed potatoes were delicious! The yule log dessert was amazing! Super light, fluffy, and not too sweet. The berry compote wasn't my favorite but everything else was super tasty! The best part of the night was the great customer service! My cousin stumbled upon this place via IG. It sounded really good so we made reservations right away for a Thursday night dinner. Seasonal old fashioned: I had two rounds of this one. Drink was pretty good! Washington Oyster: we decided to get half a dozen just to try. The oysters were fresh and so good! Steak tartare: this is probably one of the better steak tartare I have ever had. The house chips went well with it too. Grilled octopus: the octopus with bean puree went well together. I don't like beans but the Puree tasted like mashed potatoes which is a good thing. Octopus itself could have been cooked better IMO but overall flavor was good. Pork shank: my cousin and I decided to share the entree. I'm glad we did because the portion was pretty shareable. The pork was cooked perfectly. So tender, juicy and flavorful. The saffron risotto went well with it. Overall experience was good. It was the perfect option to splurge for one fancy dinner during our Seattle trip. Went here w/ my boyfriend yesterday and had a great time. I had made a reservation for his bday for 6pm but found ourselves in SLU earlier than expected so around 4:20 we went in and asked if we could move the reservation up. When we got to the table my boyfriend got a handwritten 2120 birthday card. The host introduced our server Justin to us. Justin was authentically kind, attentive, and professional. He also recommended me the horchata drink. -For appetizers we ordered the calamari, steak tartare, and smoked salmon rilette. The rilette came w/ crostini that you can ask for more of if you run out. Each item flavor-wise was well-balanced and not bland. The calamari had a light coating so was it not oily and paired well w/ the labneh, the steak tartare was fresh with mustard seed and onions to cut through the taste, and the salmon was a good light starter. For drinks, we got 5 of them: 1. Espresso martini - tasted like a strong coffee, loved it. There is option for caffeinated or decaf coffee. This is on the dessert menu 2. Smooth razz - tasted like raspberry 3. Captain Ahab's Cupboard - creamy and coconutty; my second fav after the espresso martini 4. Horchata drink - this thing was strong! Heavy rum flavor. Their menu says they have a Wild Horchata but I think I saw on the receipt it's called Rice & Spice? Plus the menu says Wild Horchata is served on ice and mine wasn't. In any case this was my least fav drink. The puffed rice was fun to eat but wow was the rum strong! 5. Spring fling - pineapple. Came w/ a flower decoration. Refreshing -For the pasta, we tried the lobster pappardelle and the duck confit tagliatelle. Hands down, get the duck. It was perfectly cooked, fell off the bone, and had some crispy bits that stayed crispy even after touching the sauce. The lobster pieces in the pappardelle were plentiful and meaty but we both thought the sauce was quite acidic and it had a lot of some sort of spice that warmed the throat going down, but it was mainly pretty acidic -For a surprise bday dessert, Justin brought out the house made donuts: 4 donut holes, caramel, and chocolate mousse, complete with a candle -Meals were brought out in a well timed manner so only after we finished the appetizers did they bring out the pasta, and only after we finished the pasta did they bring out the dessert. My friend and I came on a Sunday for an early dinner, around 4:30 pm. Note they don't open until 4 pm on Monday to Sunday and close at 9 pm. This is a great location right by the Amazon Spheres. Also, check out their website for information on free parking! We started off with drinks and ordered the classic 2120 spritz, which wasn't just aesthetically pleasing but tasty. The Pear-Way to Heaven was less sweet and stronger than we thought, which was a great surprise if that's more up your alley. We ordered the steak tartare, which comes with house chips that balanced well together. The salmon belly rillette was also a great balance as it added a bit of sweetness to the meal that comes with crostinis. However, we REALLY enjoyed the grilled octopus, which comes with a creamy puree, and the octopus had the right amount of chewiness that paired well with the vegetables. The staff was excellent and very friendly. Reservations can be made on their website through OpenTable. This would make a great spot for a date, with its upscale interior and modern ambiance. Nestled near the visually impressive Amazon spheres is 2120, a nice spot that was able to accommodate a last minute change of dinner plans. As most have experienced, dinner in Seattle without a reservation can be near impossible but 2120 was able to get us in with no issues. The atmosphere and service was top notch, shout out to our server (Amanda I think) and her awesome dog pics. The star of the show here was the mains. My salmon was cooked perfectly, the skin was crispy and salty, and the meat tender and moist. All the flavors around it, the asparagus and purée all boosted the salmon to the next level. My husband had the scallops and was blown away by how well they were prepared as well as the flavor combinations that the plate had to offer. The beets, beef, and broccolini were ok but paled in comparison to the mains. The staff was friendly and accommodating, giving drink recommendation and assuring me if I hated it they would make me a new one. They were also very attentive to my celiac (gluten) issues and helped me navigate their menu to find things I could eat or modify. There was only 1 other table when we were sat but other tables filled up quickly throughout the remainder of our meal. The restaurant is dimly lit. There is a bar as well as an open kitchen type vibe. We ordered the tartare as an appetizer. This was the best part of the meal. The tartare paired well with the chips. I got the gnocchi and my friend got the pappardelle. The gnocchi and pappardelle were very underwhelming. The scallops that I added to the gnocchi were good though! The sauce tasted like pizza and I just saw another review that agreed with me so I know I am not tripping. We also got a side of frites. They were cut in many weird shapes and were soggy, which was pretty sad. We wanted some crispy frites. We each got a drink. I forgot the name of the purple one but it was mezcal and coconut. Food and drinks were all delicious. The calamari was so good! My boyfriend isn't a big seafood fan and he loved the dish! Great appetizers. Mid Entrees. Started off great with the grilled octopus and the tuna tartar apps! Both were delicious and my family licked the plate clean. Our entrees were alright. I don't mind a simple menu of selections, it's the execution that made me consider what else could there have been? I ordered the lamb chops and it was pretty disappointing. The lamb was overcooked and was tough on the bone. And not a fan of the experimental addition of curry powder to the dish-- it was so overpowering and didn't harmonize with the lamb. I ended up not finishing this already expensive plate and felt guilty but I could not get myself to continue. My mom got the vongole pasta and my dad got the steak. Both feeling like the price didn't justify the taste. They were just okay and small portioned.
