Seafood Platter (oyster variety, poached shrimp, salmon rillettes, seared ahi
Monica A.

Great spot on the water. First course Poutine of the Sea, Crab Hushpuppies, and Fontina Crostini. Followed by a Seafood Platter: variety of oysters, seared ahi, poached shrimp, and salmon rillettes was incredible! It was more than the four of us could eat! Blood Orange Pannacotta was a lovely dessert for those of us who prefer subtle sweets.

Came to The White Swan Public House for patio dining. The patio is dog friendly, which is nice for a sunny day! I came with a group of 4 and a dog, no reservations right when they opened and was able to get seating out on the patio with no wait. The restaurant has $2 oysters all day with rotating menu on oysters specials for that day. We ordered a dozen of their variety specials, hush puppies, and clam dip. The oysters were huge, hush puppies went well with the calm dip. We each ordered our own entree, cheese burger and fish and chips. The cheese burger entree was solid and cant go wrong with the burger. The fish and chip was ok. The crust was different, not as flakey like other restaurants. Overall, had a good experience and would come back!

Cozy spot right on Lake Union! I came here for a work dinner, and they were able to fit our group of ~20 on their heated patio. It felt like we were floating on the lake! Service was very friendly, and the walk was very pleasant from SLU. We ordered a variety of things: the hushpuppies came out piping hot, and had a great crispy batter. The oysters were fresh and juicy. I got the seafood stew in the saffron broth as my main, and unfortunately it was very salty - I couldn't finish the dish because it was just that salty, though the portion size was huge, and there was a ton of seafood in there. The appetizers were solid, so hopefuly the main dish I got was just an outlier? I'd return to give other things a try, but the saltiness of the seafood stew was pretty tough for sure.

This place never disappoints. Venue on a nice sunny day, sitting outside admiring the lake with a glass of Rośe is perfect. Sydney was our server and she was awesome. She took notes to cater for our nut allergies and made sure there wasn't any cross contamination. She had great recommendations. We ordered the fish and chips which was great. Love a good fish and chips that doesn't feel too oily. Coho salmon was grilled to perfection with the right amount of crisp. Fish sandwich was a decent size we had to have it to go but again the fish was grilled perfectly. Restaurant is very clean both inside and outside. Great menu options.

Solid view. You have to pay for parking. Nó validation. We ordered a handful of dishes. They have happy hour. Food was ok.

Very cute and hidden spot with a view of south lake union. Been coming here for quite some time and always the perfect go-to after work! Service is attentive and their menu recommendations are always spot on. Good place for oysters as well!

Happy hour at White Swan- The best part of this visit was our waiter Lucas! Great knowledge and recommendation from cocktail to food. The most unique dish was the seafood poutine. The seafood platter had overcooked seared tuna. Our waiter kindly fixed it. can't wait o come back.

The place has a nice vibe. Service was good. Food was alright. * Crab Hushpuppies 3/5 - These were fried cornmeal balls. The exterior was crunchy and the inside was soft. I didn't taste any crab, though. The honey butter was interesting, but an odd choice for a savory dish. * Seafood Stew 4/5 - The stew had good flavor. The seafood was good. Lots of mussels though and not as many clams and shrimps. The fish kinda fell apart and became fish crumbs thoughout the stew, so the texture was not great. The bread was dry and hard.

What a great spot by the water! They had a great happy hour, with deals on oysters, seafood chowder, and endless other great apps. The food was quick and fresh and would recommend for any nice day outside! The hush puppies were probably my favorite item that paired well with the sauce.

The White Swan Public House is a great restaurant with an incredible view of Lake Union. It can be busy, so make sure to make reservations. Service was great. We started with some beers and some crab hush puppies. There was not a lot of crab in them, but they were very good and the honey butter was great with them. I ordered the Seafood stew, which had a good mix in a tomato broth. It was delicious, particularly the shrimp and mussels. This place seems very popular for very good reasons and we will definitely be back.

We came here on a Tuesday during Happy Hour and it was lovely! We beat the crowd and we were seated facing the Space Needle against the cotton candy sunset! The service was super friendly, the bubbles were fizzing and I really love the hush puppies! This place never disappoints!

came here for a work dinner, service was fast, drinks were tasty and all food was delicious especially the tomato salad. beautiful views of the boats and lake. the crab claws were the only thing we found odd- difficult to get the meat out of the claw without proper tools. the meat was face down in the ice and when we pulled it out, it was stiff and semi frozen which wasn't a great texture for eating. see picture.

Beautiful location and top notch ambiance during the summer. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. Honestly, for a hangout for friends, we could not have a picked spot to socialize and have fun! Whereas this was a 5-star *experience however, my low rating here is for the quality of the food itself. Here's what we ordered: * Salmon Dip: The dip itself was decently tasty, but the chips taste like Vickie's and weren't hot or freshly made. The dip actually would've been really good with ciabatta, perhaps with some olive oil and tomatoes. * Fish burger: The buns were actually quite good. Poofy and tasty. However, the rest of the burger was lacking in taste. I have a major suspicion that there was supposed to be sauce, that was never added. The fish was dry and had a muted flavor. The bacon added some flavor, but given this was a fish-centric burger, I was looking for more of a seafood flavor. * Seafood Chowder: This chowder was rich in seafood. Lots of clam, octopus, and an assortment of other seafood bits I couldn't make out. The chowder itself was full of flavor but unfortunately quite salty. Overall, I would recommend the two appetizers to future guests. The ambiance, proximity to the water, and general vibe are top notch. If you're on this side of the water (e.g., fresh off of a kayak through the lake) and looking for a spot to grab bites, White Swan is a great place to hang!

It was like a casual, ceremonial date, so beautiful I couldn't resist taking a picture. The scene was as serene and warm as the sunset in the background. Meghan was in town though, and she found a lunch reservation. I was so nice to catch up in such a nice environment. The entrance is down a nice alley with a pink door. We sat in a room with a full wall of windows that looked out to Elliot Bay. We started with beverages. I had the watermelon margarita with tequila, freshly pressed watermelon, triple sec, and lime. It was yummy, light, and refreshing. It has a perfect balance of watermelon/ citrus/ sweetness. Meghan had the patio poppin' with vodka, Aveze, Prosecco, strawberry, and lemon. We know how I feel about a coup glass. The drink was good, but I am not a fan of vodka in my cocktails. I prefer a tequila base. We had the arancini which came with fried rice balls stuffed with caciocavallo, mozzarella and served atop a spicy Calabrian chili sauce. This was the moistest arancini I've ever had. Normally I'm not a cheese stuffed item person, but this one was a solid choice and solid execution. These are popular for a reason. The sauce is similar to a vodka sauce, and it was so yummy I could have drank it. As we walked in, we saw a few boxes of gorgeous heirloom tomatoes. As a result, we decided to get the caprese salad. The caprese came with organic heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, torn basil, ricotta salata, first pressed olive oil and Sicilian sea salt. I wish that there was more basil personally. This dish comes in two sizes: small= 3 slices of tomatoes and large= 5 slices. The dish was a good caprese, but I feel like it could have been leveled up by a fancier olive oil. The inclusion of flaky salt was a great call. Meghan and I split two mains that way we could sample more things. It came with fresh spinach pasta layered with besciamella, pesto, and topped with marinara sauce. I feel like it would made more sense to put a pesto on top of the lasagna, but that's my personal take. I to understand why they did marinara though. I love a pesto lasagna though, so there was none leftover. I thought it was kind of a small portion, but that's just me. For the second main, we had the bolognese. It came with a slow-simmered meat sauce and Parmigiano-Reggiano. Normally, pappardelle isn't my favorite pasta shape because it can be so thick. This one however, was paper thin. The sauce was creamy which actually worked so well. I wish there was more sauce, but I always think that. As a sweet treat, we had the strawberry shortcake with local strawberries, freshly whipped cream, and aged balsamico drizzle. The shortcake was served warm which was a great call. Perfect amount of strawberries. The shortcake is more of a biscuit than an actual angel food cake. Great meal all, and I would go back. The staff was kind, friendly, and attentive.

It's nice to watch the staff cook because it tells you that the food is fresh. I have high expectations for seafood in Seattle. However, I was disappointed with the scallops as it tasted raw and cool to the touch in the center.
