I've seen this getting some attention on social media, specifically all the Houston instagrammers that I follow. It seemed like a cool, fun place to check out with friends! My group of friends came on a Friday evening, and it actually wasn't as crowded as we thought it was going to be. We grabbed some dinner before we started bowling and honestly, I wasn't expecting much in terms of food variety... I was thinking it would be typical bar food, like nachos, burgers, and pizza. Y'know, stuff that you'd see on the menu at Main Event. I wasn't expecting the chef himself to come out and speak to us; he seemed very proud of his work / team and eagerly wanted feedback on both the food and the atmosphere. My friend and I ordered the Yard Bird to share, with mashed potatoes and veggie dirty rice as our sides; plus brussel sprouts for a starter! When it came out, I was astonished! The brussel sprouts were crispy, crunchy, and umami bombs with the right balance of savoury, salty, sweet, and tangy. The best way you can prepare and eat them, honestly. The bird came out and we eagerly grabbed a piece each (there were two); the skin was crispy on top and the meat was tender and juicy... paired with the mustard jus sauce... wow! Mashed potatoes were delicious if not overloaded with butter, but made it really creamy and yummy. The veggie dirty rice was the one I was looking most forward to, since I've never seen a vegetarian version of it. Surprisingly, really good. It was really close to actual dirty rice (sans the notable liver flavour) and was flavourful, herbalicious, and had this great texture between the soft rice and the crunchy bits of "the holy trinity" (bellpepper, celery, and onion). Paired with the sangria, this made for a good time. Once our bowling lane was ready, we went over there for more fun (and of course, more drinks). I'm not a big fan of bowling to be honest, so I just do it socially with friends who have more interest in it than I do... still, a fun time! After our hour was up (and I was so close to winning, shockingly) we sat down for some more drinks in one of the lounge areas, which was really relaxing. I enjoy how they've created the space to allow for each concept to have a dedicated area while still allowing "in between" spaces for people to have a moment to themselves (or their group) without encroaching on others. While we were sitting there, I had a bite of my friend's skillet cookie and it was dangerously delicious... albeit overpriced, absolutely worth it to have and share amongst friends. The CEO also stopped by to say hello; which was really nice! K (friend) and I went into the arcade to take a peek at the games, and while it looked like a good time, we were disappointed to not see any dance rhythm games like DDR or In The Groove. Not a real "arcade" experience for me if we can't have that, but maybe we are stuck in the past. That would be my only big suggestion... if you can find one, put it in there and we will be there (again) in a heartbeat! Overall, a really creative concept that is changing the stereotype of a typical arcade / bowling establishment! Kudos to the concept creators and owners for bringing this to Houston and putting in a lot of work and effort into sharing this with us, I can tell that you really want to make this a great experience for everyone. read more

When I first walked in the place it was really nice and clean. Me and two other people paid $20 dollars for tickets to the arcade. Soon as we walked in there are people with no mask on and kids running around dropping candy. The claw machines were too loose to grab anything and was very slippery. When i slid my card in twice it said "error" And still took my points when i didnt play the game at all. Some of the games were down and there werent many options to choose from, and there weren't many options for prizes either. Then, we spent all of our tickets in less than 30 minutes. After we spent all our tickets we went to go buy more and it kept declining when there was enough money on our cards. 1/10 never coming back! read more

Felt like people are trying to go home instead of worrying about the customer experience. The staff in the VR area seemed uninterested in the guest experience. The guy that was in charge of our sports area felt like he wasted out time more than helped us enjoy the sports play área. The place has a nice first impression, but that is all. read more

This place is fantastic! It is perfect for an event or a family outing and/or dinner. Great vibe, fun music...There is something for every age here! Got a teen who loves to game? There is an arcade with VR. Got young kiddos? Bowling and games! Golfers? No problem, there is a golf simulator. Thirsty adults? A full bar. There are private rooms for parties and tons of room to socialize. Places like this typically have so/so food but even the food is great! For those dessert lovers there is even a full sweets bar called "The Split." For dinner, our table tried a couple of the flatbreads (universally enjoyed) and tried several of the food items and all ages were fully satisfied. Try it soon, you won't regret it! read more

Visited the establishment for a mid-afternoon snack. We started out with the Surfside Cocktail. Very tasty and plentiful amount of chips to accent it. It was a bit smaller than what I'm accustomed to for the price. We then had the BBLT which was fabulous. Not a lot of bread as the slices were thin. The meat and toppings were fresh. For a small fee you could have a nice size portion of fries to go along with it. The waiters were very a tentative to our needs. Overall we had a great experience and will be back. read more

My cousins(22&23) and I(25) brought our younger siblings here and we were denied entry because the receptionist said they didn't allow kids younger than 16 and they must have an ID. We decided to go and celebrate our nephews birthday here. This place was fun. The kids enjoyed the arcade and the bowling. Ice cream cones for them were delicious. The food was delicious. We had the onion rings, mozzarellas sticks and sampler plate. Yum. It was great. We also had a variety of entrees which were all delicious. So my biggest complaint was the water. FYI..... Yes, I had ordered just regular water . Well that water was absolutely horrible. It tasted like trash water. We all did have to order some kind of soft drink or mineral water from a bottle. I've been here a few times and each time i've had immense fun. The first time i was there i was there with a party and our party host , who's name i think was amber, was incredibly accommodating and kind as well. Each other time i've been there it was only with a small group of friends and it always went well and was always fun. The man at the front desk with the colored hair is always nice and gives a warm welcome and always makes sure that i'm never confused about anything and is very accommodating as well. I do highly recommend that you go in on a weekday if you can since those days seem to be slower and you'll be able to get a bowling lane much easier. We went to see if all the things we had been hearing were true. They absolutely were! The food was incredible the cauliflower wings and the chicken wings were enough to bring us back alone. We took our 3rd-5th graders here for an end of year STAAR celebration. The staff was super accommodating. The food was amazing and the kids had the time of their lives. We thought we were going to have a good time celebrating a friend's birthday. Service was slow and after our food came out, a woman (not one of our two waitresses) came out to tell us "I don't know if they let you know" but, they couldn't split the check. The manager insisted that "parties of 8 or more" they couldn't split the check for. He was terrible in his interaction with us as we explained that NO ONE had informed us. For starters the signage is small so you really have to pay attention otherwise you'll miss it. The area is really nice and it's very clean. Brand new so wait times to bowl on the weekends are really long. They don't do lane reservations which is unfortunate but we waited for almost two hours or so and didn't even get the call to bowl until after 9 which meant we'd have less than an hour. The long wait time didn't disturb us though because we sat at the bar to have drinks and ate food. The food was okay, there wasn't really anything on the menu that screamed "ORDER ME!" but I had the ten pin taquitos (appetizer) and my date had the veggie lasagna with an order of fries which were seasoned SOOO well. We had a bad experience at Palace social. Let me start saying, that the place is nice, the food is decent and the drinks are good. Also, our server was excellent. The problem started when we finally were able to go to the bowling lanes. The computer was not working properly and the balls kept getting jammed, I asked for an attendant to help and he took forever, help the first time but the subsequent times he seemed annoyed because I was interrupting him when he was chatting with a co worker. He said there was nothing else he could do but offered 5 extra minutes at the lane, when I told him that we had wasted around 20 minutes he said I needed to talk to the manager because he wasn't authorized to do anything else. I spoke to the manager who said she could only add 10 minutes but could not fix my score that was messed up by the computer, which was my biggest complain because I was winning until that point -lol-well she never added the 10 minutes. The place is not terrible but they need to train their employees to give better customer service and have someone on site to fix the issues with the lanes. read more

We made birthday party reservations in advanced, specifically asking if we could bring cupcakes as someone in our party has severe food allergies. Bowling area has 8 lanes but the sitting situation isn't great. They have a big ottoman style seat for about 4-6 people, a small table & a bench that seats 2-3 people. If you are only using one lane then you are sitting awfully close to the people in the next lane. I'd rather sit in a chair with back support than sharing an ottoman with complete strangers.
