Our house is quite old and a lot of the beams and sidings were not in good shape. Painting them involved replacing several sections or patching old work in order for the paint to adhere and look good. They really treated the work as if they were doing it for their own home. The end result is an incredible looking job that exceeded even my high expectations. Hired Jose's Painting to remove a kitchen plaster ceiling and replace with dry wall, painting…read more(kitchen cabinets, a porch, bathroom), installation of kitchen lights and an oven vent hood, painting of several external walls and metal awnings, etc. Generally work quality was good and the workers were polite. Nearly all of them spoke English + / - making communication easy. Although they were good at the gross work, they lacked the detail and cleanliness that we wanted. I spent many hours scraping up all of the paint spots left behind on floors, light switches, inside cabinetry, sinks, faucets, door hinges, inside HVAC grills, cabinet tops. An HVAC floor vent was not covered when they removed a plaster ceiling with debris falling inside which I had to remove. Screws, painter's tape and paint spots were on top of kitchen cabinets which I had to clean. One screw ended upon the sink garbage disposal causing it to stop working; they had to call a plumber to remove the disposal to get at the screw. They regularly used my trashcans and frequently threw things in the wrong bins. We called them back for one full day to handle touch-ups and oversprays. Many moved cabinets and hinges were missing screws. Some door hinges were also painted and had to be cleaned. Some trim was painted without proper sanding / scraping, and filling / smoothing holes; they simply painted over existing paint.

Apparently he's painted a few other units in the building as well so he was familiar with the layout of the units. We had a few other estimates for painting and Miguel's prices were significantly cheaper. He was fast and super responsive. On top of all of this, we were also in escrow to sell our old house, so we had a very small window to get any work done to our new place before we had to move out of our old place. The guy that was doing the handrail for my stairs was behind schedule, which caused my flooring guy to fall behind schedule which then caused Miguel and his team, who are at the end of the line, to be behind schedule as well. Miguel was so accommodating and worked with our schedule without giving us any issues. The stair guys installed the handrails, but that was the extent of their work so they didn't patch anything up or repaint anything. Miguel and his team jumped on it and was able to bang out the entire paint job before we moved in. The paint looks fantastic! And I've watched them a few times and they were very meticulous with their work. I would 100% use these guys for any future paint work we may have.
