Fantastic new place, totally awesome! We had the cheese bread which was tasty, but not over the top. It had just the hint of cheese. Then me and the wife each did half and half. I had the Cuban which was really tasty and nice and pressed. They press all their sandwiches. The wife had the Oglio which was mushrooms, prosciutto, garlic and brie. Totally sublime!!! read more

What a great place! I stumbled upon it because someone on Facebook was looking for delicious empanadas. I called, they had two different varieties, I went and bought them and they are fantastic. Vegetable was out of this world never had anything like it and the chicken was also delicious. It's my first time visit to Palato Cafe. It's a clean, charming spot that I highly recommend. The service is welcoming, kind and efficient. I'm Gluten Free and they offer many GF options and are willing to work with requests. I ordered the Avocado Toast and my mom the Turkey Lover Salad. Both choices were satisfying, fresh and delicious. The coffee is wonderful, the prices great and the music mellow. My only suggestion is if you're sensitive to salt, to ask for no salt, the pesto dressing was a bit salty for my taste. read more

What a lovely discovery. Restaurant is very clean. The soup which was a chicken potato soup came with capers which added the salty flavor and cream. Very nice and hearty. Quality ingredients and superb preparation of all of their menu items is the key. Consuelo's attention to detail and training of her team allows for consistency in presentation and flavors. her use of spice enriches al the may soups most of which would be tough to match at home. Her green plantain soup is incredible. Her smoothies are of the highest quality anywhere with an assortment of added items that let the customer execute their own recipes. Her coffee is gret and there is a variety of ways to enjoy it. My go to cip is the "Dirty Chai" with no added sugar. And there are always a number of GF choices fro the meal and deserts. Quality/Not Fast Food. Friendly staff, excellent ingredients and great portions. Be prepared to stay a while and relax. Get a smoothie or coffee while you wait on your food order. It is a very small operation and it is not for the rushed customer. My husband and I loved it. We got the green detox smoothie, a hot coffee, Turkey Lovers salad, and Cuban sandwich and it was all wonderful. She also has a few gluten free baked goods I'm going to try next time. Refreshing, cozy cafe (vegan options too!). I love supporting local businesses, especially where everything is such high quality and made with care. They not only have organic almond milk, they have soy and coconut too. Their espresso is very good. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, overall pretty healthy menu items (salads are amazing). They have smoothies and acai bowls that include all plant based options so I don't have to worry about substituting anything! This is a hidden gem. The food is excellent and at great prices, but the service is what makes the place really stand out in my mind. They staff is very helpful and accommodating, and it's clear that their goal is to provide the best possible experience to the customer. They have a ton of options so that everyone can find something, no matter what their dietary preferences are! I feel that sometimes health-food restaurants have a somewhat sterile or unwelcoming feel to the environment but that is not at all the case with Palato! The restaurant is clean and well-lit, but throughout it is filled with elements of colorful, rustic decor and fresh flowers that contribute to a truly welcoming atmosphere. They have a huge selection of smoothies, as well as gluten-free desserts and breads. If you're an avocado toast fan, go here. They will make custom omelets and are very accommodating. This was a great find while driving south through Vero Beach. Shared a yummy grilled Cuban style sandwich with chicken, ham, onions and mushrooms. Also shared a veggie empanada with homemade salsa.
