One of the best pies in town (pizza that is - not to be confused with the pie house next door)

I've been here twice now and it's a nice little place. The breadsticks are amazing, can't stop eating them. The service is pretty good and the waiters work pretty hard and check up on you often. The salad is good and the chicken marsala is a very large portion. I could not finish it and it also comes with half a plate of pasta. The desserts are nothing special but if you get the full course meal special ($20 i believe) it comes with the salad, entree, and dessert so you can't beat it. Atmosphere is casual and from what I hear it is very busy during lunch. The pizza looked good but I did not try it. They do have a kids menu and although they do not take reservations you can cal ahead for large groups. read more

We are pretty regular at Palazzos, I would say it's number one Italian restaurant here in Houston. Bread sticks with olive oil depending sauce is fantastic appetizer ( on the house ). Servers are really friendly in this location. Try to order the Spanish Alfredo with chicken it is really yummy, actually I ask them to add the Spinach to my Alfredo it gave it good torch! Also try the pizza it's really yummy, only fresh, not leftover! read more

Stumbled across this place by accident, and man I am happy we did. Ordered the special which was a blackened redfish and it melted in my mouth. My husband got the meatball pizza, and it was rustic and delicious as well. Price is great for the quality of food. Will be returning soon. read more

We ordered a few platters from this place. The food was pretty good. The chocolate chip cookies were even better. When a friend ordered the cookies as a walk in to the store, they were given a dozen of the nestle tollhouse cookie that are sold at target for 4.99. They charged about 14 dollars as if it was the original cookies that they sell on their party platter. What a huge disappointment. To the trash they go and a waste of 14.00! We acknowledge that they will bait and switch as necessary so we will not trust anything that they sell. We have removed them as an option for private events read more

Great spot for lunch! High quality food in a comfortable environment with friendly service. What's not to like? Giving 4 stars as I believe their lunch menu could be a bit more reasonably prices, but overall it is not terrible. They bring delicious bread and dipping oil before your meal, which is similar to a seasoned pizza crust with olive oil, herbs, and parmesan. I always ask for seconds! I recommend the pasta palazzo. Hearty, delicious, everything you could want! Nice italian spot, would certainly check it out! read more

The food here is really good! Their pizzas taste different from any other pizza that I have ever tried but they are our favorite pizzas in town. We are normally thin crust people but this is more of a thick crust pizza and it is crazy good. Honestly, everything else here is good too. They also let you BYOB which is nice. I did see a review that the corking fee is per person but it is a charge per bottle which is maybe something like $9. We really enjoy coming here because it is delicious and Terri (not sure if I am spelling her name right) is SO nice to us. She usually remembers my husband's weird pizza order and is so sweet and patient with our kids. read more

DO NOT come here for BYOB. Corkage fee is $8.99 /pp. The food is only almost as good as Collinas that only charges a $2.50/pp corkage fee. The Yelp ap won't let me respond to the company comment below but I will look for my receipt showing I paid 8.99 x 2 for two people, not 2 bottles. Great place for pasta and pizzas - can't believe there is only 1 review for the Galleria-area Palazzo's. I've been here at least a dozen times (madre lives close). Nothing fancy but the pastas (Penne Stefano being a favorite), chicken marsala and pizzas (Margherita and Cristinia) are delicious. The house bread - very thin with rosemary and garlic - is almost worth a trip alone. Wine list is limited but OK. And cupcakes for dessert. Wish Palazzo's would open a location in Austin.. read more

My favorite Italian restaurant in the city by far. Everything is so flavorful and fresh. Amazing pizza and pasta. The bread is the best I have ever had. Make sure to get their special olive oil with herbs to dip the bread in. It is available upon request. I go at least twice per month. Cute spot near Westchase. Kinda hidden, which is a major plus. Not crowded or loud, waiters are very attentive. Food is literally made to order, everything was so hot and fresh. Super flavorful and authentic as well. Desserts are crazy delicious! I had the bread pudding which tasted just like my grandmothers. Good Italian food is so difficult to find in Houston. This little gem of a restaurant has the best Italian that we have found, and the prices are reasonable. Palazzo's is a small, quiet family place tucked away from Westheimer behind The House of Pies. It has great waitstaff, is timely with the carry out and also delivers. My favorite dishes are the Penne Stefano with ground beef (instead of Italian sausage) and the Anastasia pizza. My husband loves the fettuccine Alfredo with spinach added and extra sauce. Their garlic bread and olive oil/spices are excellent and their bread pudding is phenomenal. We have literally driven across town just for the bread pudding. read more

After reading all the reviews I was expecting a lot more. I did order to go, so maybe that was a factor. We got the penne stefano, spaghetti with meatballs, garlic bread, tomato basil soup with a small house and caesar salad. The sauce on both entrees were *bland* no taste to it at all y'all, not a hint of basil, garlic, nada. The meat in the penne stefano tasted like ground beef vs Italian sausage.The pasta was store bought and over-cooked. The salad was decent and the garlic bread was the best thing about the meal but by no means the best we've ever had. The soup was...packaged well and...hot. I'll give them that, all the food was hot and you could tell it was freshly made (or heated up out of the can whatever) when we went to pick up our order, the restaurant looked clean, the waitstaff was pleasant. read more

We've come regularly for awhile, and would have rated it 4+ stars. We brought my mother in law and aunt for dinner last night and I have to say, we weren't quite as blown away. The overall quality for the food felt lower than previous visits. The breadsticks were tough and cold. My chicken in the fettuccini alfredo was tough. Alfredo sauce was breaking and very under seasoned. Couldn't taste the any parm at all in it and the mushrooms tasted like they came from a can with no seasoning. The veal parm was soggy - we ordered 3 and all had that issue. The salad was amazing as always, and the desserts were bright spots to end the night on. We got the bread pudding and banana pudding. Service was also nice as well and the house wines were a good value for taste. I really felt underwhelmed with our dinner, and wish we had gone somewhere else for my MIL's special day. I'm surprised there aren't Palazzo's on every street corner and once you eat there you'll feel the same way. The food is great, people are fantastic and the prices are very affordable. Considering that I order delivery once a week, I can't believe that I have not done a review on this place. It is SO good. I always order the chopped salad and the lasagna. Both are out of this world. The salad especially impresses me. It is packed with so much good flavor prior to even putting the dressing on. It is an item on the menu that everyone should try once. As far as the lasagna, it is very tasty as well. I have tried lasagna at a couple other places in the area, but I keep going back to Palazzos. Also, the bread sticks are amazing. You get breadsticks complementary on any item that you order. We always devour them instantly. I will say that I have only physically been to the location once. We always order delivery. As far as delivery goes, it always turns out perfect. Please give this place a try! read more

They make an amazing pizza. Whenever I've gotten To Go the kitchen always seems slammed. My favorite is the Maui pizza, sweet, spicy and salty. What more could you ask for? They do deliver. But, if it's busy it's better to pick up. Delivery could take an hour or more. By the time your food arrives it's usually cold and soggy... big bummer. But, get a good dish fresh out of the oven and you will crave more. read more

So many better places to have Italian. I see I started this review in February! Wow, anyway I have been two additional times with work and it's no better. Empty should be the first sign. I have had the chicken alfredo, sauce is runny, not much flavor. I had the chicken ceasar salad, it was only okay, the chicken was not seasoned at all. The last time I was there I had the lasagna, ate maybe a quarter of it, and was asked if I wanted a box, when I said no, the waiter was not concerned. I know I would have asked if everything was okay. One of my co-workers had the SW lasagna and ate half and didn't take her's home. read more

Food is great but here's a tip to "VICTORIA," the person who answers the phone... When a customer say's "Thank You," you say, "You're Welcome". Palazzo's refused to seat my wife, 13 year old son and me in their "adults" room even though my son sat in the "adult" room waiting for a table for 20 minutes, and even though it doesn't reserve tables in the "children's room" for families with children. I could understand this policy if it was Tony's. It's not. Too bad for them. Skip it and go to Corelli's or Amalfi instead. read more

Plazzos is a great little Italian restaurant tucked in a little ways off Westheimer Rd. There's plenty of parking and I've never had an issue of wait time. Its the type of place where the wait staff knows most of the guest. The staff here is also very nice and attentive. I always order the same thing (lasagna) and always walk away satisfied. We picked up food from Palazzo's for our New Year's eve dinner. We had about 15 guests...the food was EXCELLENT! The beef tenderloin and grilled chicken tasted great and were cooked just right.
