I brought a good friend out for her birthday dinner on 8/16/16 because I know Palazzo's to be consistent, almost never crowded at night, and laidback. That being said, I recommend it for a quick and inexpensive weeknight dinner if you live close by. We ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer and garlic bread was brought to the table while we waited. They bring quite a few breadsticks to the table every time, which I appreciate. This time the bread was cold and tough to chew (1 star) - we opted to wait for the calamari. The calamari was piping hot, served with a lemon wedge and marinara - very delicious and fresh. (4 stars) I don't normally go for the ordinary fettuccine alfredo, but I decided to try it this time and it was as fettuccine should be! Perfectly al dente fettuccine, flavorful and creamy alfredo, and grilled, juicy chicken with mushrooms to complete the dish. (4 stars) The waiter was polite and attentive and several people came around to refill our glasses of water when they were still half full. I give my visit here 3 stars due to the cold bread alone. I think that since the restaurant had very few diners, the bread was not fresh and had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. read more

Had a delicious and delightful lunch today!!! I had the Uncle Vino's Pizza, Cheese Ravioli smothered in Alfredo Sauce, mushrooms and grilled chicken. It was all out of this world delicious! The food here exceeds expectation and is always scrumptious! For dessert, I had the banana carrot cake which is to die for!! Had exceptional and quality service provided by the pleasant and gracious Samantha!! She was on point along with Maria in training. Terry also provides exceptional service!! The ingredients they use on their dishes is very good, with different varieties. I give them credit for that. Buuut, their pasta sauce in every dish is so watered down, I tried the light pasta and their faticini and it wasn't creamy or cheesy at all. The noodles and the ingredients were almost swimming in it. A thick and creamy sauce is what makes a pasta. If they get their sauce right, their dishes would be more delicious. read more

This restaurant could easily be much better than it currently is as a dining experience with 2 simple fixes: 1. Love that is BYOB, but I DO NOT like drinking my wine from the tiny, tacky, cheap wine glasses. Easy to fix with very little cost. LaVista fixed this almost 2 years ago. 2. I had the Chicken JJ. Chicken breast was obviously pre-cooked and then thrown on the grill again to make it hot. The result: Very dry, overcooked, hard chicken breast covered in sauce and toppings in an attempt to make more "juicy". This did not work at all. Felt like food from McDonald's Too bad. these two fixes could make Palazzo's into a very nice neighborhood spot. Pizza was good, and other dishes looked good. I really hope they fix this because the restaurant is very convenient. I might try it again in a while. If they fix these 2 things, could probably give it a more decent rating. read more

Palazzo's Restarant is a hidden gem on the west side of Houston. I have been several times and have never had a bad experience! With reason addition of David and J.T. to the staff it is only getting better! On a recent holiday went in for the brunch buffet!. Love the food here, great waitstaff. However, there is little to no atmosphere here. I have suggested a few times to the manager to put a simple candle or flower on the tables but it has never happened. Food was fairly average, not great but not bad. The appetizers literally came out with the entries. When we indicated our displeasure the server said "oh, you didn't want it that way?" Why would we have wanted that? The server came by a time or two but was basically uninterested. Took forever to get check then again to pay. I went with four ladies to lunch Saturday, December 17, 2018. We were seated not far from the kitchen which was fine initially. However, there was a person in the kitchen pounding on meat and or chicken incessantly. It was like eating at a construction site. We mentioned the annoyance to the waiter and he said they were preparing for future meals. In other words, the hammering and/or pounding continued throughout our dining experience. Visited for lunch with co-workers. I had a romano-crusted chicken salad. I liked the breaded chicken, all the other ingredients, and the honey-mustard dressing at first, but before long it hit me - this salad is way too salty. Might give them another try sometime. read more

After our DoorDash driver gave our order to the wrong person and drop the ball on trying to correct it. We called Palazzo's and they corrected my order and delivered it themselves. This place is just across the street from my office, so it's an easy choice for lunch. I often have the chopped salad, and is by far the best thing I've eaten here. The calamari is the same as you would find in any other restaurant, and the pasta dishes have been good but nothing special. I will say the service at lunch is terrific, attentive and quick, perfect for a workday lunch. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a solid Italian restaurant for lunch. read more

For a small neighborhood place, the food and service was amazing. After trying to eat at a chain restaurant and the wait was too long, we went online and found this place. So glad we did. We were seated quickly. Service was attentive. Our water glasses were never empty. The food was delicious from the bread to the salad to the main course to the awesome tiramisu! Was meeting 2 girlfriends here at 4:30 for an early dinner. Two of us arrived first and sat at a booth. We were told that Happy Hour is from 4-7 and that we had to go to the bar. My girlfriend was going up to the bar to get us wine at Happy Hour prices and was told by our waitress that we couldn't bring the wine back to our booth. We thought she was joking, but she wasn't. The manager then came out and confirmed that we were not allowed to buy wine at the bar and return to the booth. There was Not One other customer in the restaurant and I can see why!! We told them that we would go elsewhere and left. We had eaten here in the past and the food was good, but I will never return. Been to Palazzo's multiple times and the menu items are hit or miss. Ordered the Pasta Palazzo this evening and immediately regretted it when my meal came with more sauce than pasta/chicken. My husband's Chicken Parmesan was excellent though. I usually get the Southwest Chicken Lasagna and it is absolutely incredible. Wishing I had that in front of me right now! Other than that, great atmosphere and good food. We will be back but no more Pasta Palazzo for me! read more

We came in very late one night near closing time and were practically the only ones here. They brought out the usual bread and served us graciously without rushing us at all. The best part of my meal was their bread with the olive oil and balsamic dipping sauce, yumm. I ended up ordering the Palazzo Pasta and that was delicious. I picked this place solely based on the reviews being as though I am new to the area. i ordered delivery since my car and kitchen items as well as all of my things are being moved by movers and have yet to arrive. The two stars given was solely based on the customer service the delivery driver lacked.The food was okay nothing too special yet nothing to complain about (star 1). the driver arrived not to soon after my order was placed (star 2). Upon his arrival he seemed to be pretty nice as i gave him a tip for this. it wasnt until i was walking off i asked the driver where were the to go utensils and he stated " we deliver to residences we expect for you to have your own!" I then told him that that isnt always the case when someone orders take out to their home. my situation case in point. i ve never ordered take out in any state and not received napkins/utensils and anything else that would make consuming your meal possible. ill never patronize this restaurant again. customer service is everything and my first impression was not a good one. read more

The owners of this restaurant provided countless pizzas free of charge for hundreds of residents during the cleanup after Harvey. They have done so much for the community. And their food is darned good! Our guilty pleasure is ordering out from here when we don't feel like cooking, because they have convenient side-door pickup. I have been to Palazzo's restaurants several times over the years and have never had a bad meal. Their food quality is always at the top, freshly prepared , presentation makes the entrees very appetizing. The waitstaff at each location are some of the best that I have seen. Had the chicken marsala delivered...fast service....flavor was good, chicken tasted like a frozen chicken patty which was a huge disappointment. I ordered garlic bread on the side but I didn't know small slices come with dish....also a disappointment, the bread didn't come with the oil that it's supposed to come with. No napkins, fork,.....maybe they were in a rush?? All in all I'd give this place 3 stars for the speedy delivery and flavor of sauce, but I probably won't order again. read more

I've eaten and gotten takeout from here many times and just have never been that impressed. The prices when you eat in are very reasonable - especially for the very pleasant atmosphere they provide. The catering prices are a bit ridiculous, especially for the sad excuse they call 'dessert.' Their bread and dipping oil is AMAZING, but that really is about it. Their house salad SUCKS and the caesar isn't much better - stay away. Maybe you can opt for a soup or extra side? I've had their traditional Italian food as well as the more 'adventurous' items such as the Southwestern Lasagna. I'm just not a fan of any of it. The best part of this place is the ambience and that isn't saying much. Unfortunately, there are people from my work that enjoy it, so it is often a catering choice for our company.
