Our group of 10 had dinner at Palazzo's Italian Restaurant this evening and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. We were seated in the wine room, which turned out to be the perfect space for our group. It felt comfortable and semi-private, making it easy for everyone to relax, talk, and enjoy the evening together. The service was impeccable. Manager Anthony Lascano was clearly on top of everything in the dining room and made sure guests were well taken care of throughout the evening. That level of attention really elevates the experience. Food highlights from our table: * Calamari - light, crispy, and great for sharing * Focaccia bread - warm and flavorful * Anastasia pizza - excellent and a favorite at the table * Meatball pizza - a bit different from years past but still very good * Frutti di mare - rich, flavorful, and satisfying For dessert, the kids were thrilled with their sundaes. I go to this Palazzo's quite often. I ordered a pasta with marinara sauce. For the included salad I chose the Greek one. They were stingy with the feta cheese. If I remember correctly, the salad comes with more feta cheese. The free bread sticks were toasted and to my liking. My pasta came. It's delicious and the flavor has always been consistent. The waiter forgot the slice of lemon I requested with my water and I had to ask for a spoon for the pasta. I hope the feta cheese was an exception and not the new norm. read more

Repeat reviewer. We always come here when we are just looking for a nice quiet Saturday night dinner. Service is usually pretty quick (had a few slow experiences), food is usually good, and atmosphere is generally quiet. The prices have gone up about double since we started coming years ago, and it feels like each time we go in it's gotten slower. But if you're looking for that local Italian spot that has great food in a comfortable atmosphere, make sure to check them out. They have pizza too! Which is really good! If you live close by would be a good option for pizza night at home so you can avoid those chain spots that use over processed ingredients. Pizzas here are fresh and have a nice crispy crust. I was recommended this little Italian place tucked away over by Westchase. My initial thoughts were on the fence, as we came in during weekend lunch to a rather empty restaurant. A very quiet and cozy atmosphere too. The food was fantastic though. Complimentary well seasoned and crispy bread, cut thin like pizza crust. I had the chicken cannelloni, filled with tender chicken and ricotta cheese. The sauce was well balanced and I enjoyed the good amount of spinach they added inside too. My girlfriend liked their shrimp scampi as well, flavorful and refreshing with the lemon and sundried tomato, while not being overly rich and heavy. First off it is low cost corkage fee BYOB restaurant which is super! The chicken pasta dishes are excellent (tender and not skinny dried out like so many places that are more expensive). Salads are 10 out of 10. The filet steaks (peppercorn or red wine sauce) are priced low and are high grade prime ... and usually cooked perfectly (9.5 out of 10) and come with two sides. The pizza - excellent (8.5 out of 10) Sautéed spinach is incredible. Desserts are diverse and all work a try. Hostess and servers are friendly and competent. Ambiance is nice ... comfortable and not too loud. read more

My family had dinner here one night while in this area for a baseball tournament. Italian isn't always my first choice but it was very good. I couldn't stop eating the bread which I paid for later but it was so good. We each got different things. My wife has spaghetti, I had a penne dish with italian sausage and the kid had some kind of chicken pasta cream sauce. The wine was good and it wasn't overly expensive like most things in and around Houston. I would eat here again and recommend it. read more

Terrible service. 2 weeks in a row, tried to order takeout and put on hold over 12 minutes. The woman answering the phone is slow, lacks decent customer service and completely inadequate. I really want to like this restaurant, but there are inconsistencies when we go at lunch. We had not been for quite awhile do to variation in what is included and what is charged at lunchtime. We went a couple of weeks ago and had a great lunch with the house salad automatically coming with our lunch selections. Then we go today and order same meals and we are brought small Caesar salads instead of house salads and are charged separately for them. Not big charges, but we like the house salads better and they are included with the meal per the lunch menu. Food is good, but Just think we will give this one up. read more

I went to Palazzo's during the workweek around noon. The service was great and fast. The food came out very quickly after we ordered. I got the tomato basil soup which was delicious. If you've ever been to La Madeleine and had their tomato bisque, it's comparable to that but a bit sweeter. I also ordered the Theta Trio Salad which was a sample platter of three of the lunch menu salads. One was a pesto bow tie pasta which was okay, there was a chicken salad which was good, and the insalata Fresca, which had fruits, nuts and feta, which was my favorite. It was was quiet because it wasn't super busy but the music was great. From the time I walked in up until I left I hummed almost every tune. Great time! read more

First time ordering pick up from Palazzo's and was not disappointed. I ordered the margherita pizza to go and it is a must try - thin, crispy crust with nice tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil. It was everything you need a margherita pizza to be. Highly recommend adding extra garlic, and drizzle some olive oil on as well. Overall, was a nice spot to grab pizza on the way home. 4 stars as was not able to order online, and had to call in a few times to get an individual on the phone to order. My aunt and I tried a new place for dinner last night. We enjoyed great service and a nice dining atmosphere. The lighting is low and they have comfortable booths plus regular chair seating. They start you our with the most delicious bread and dip I have ever had. I could have eaten the entire basket! The restaurant is BYOB with and $11 corking fee. Good to know for next time. I ordered chicken marsala, but I don't think that's what I was served. It was still very good, but I wanted a white wine sauce, not a red sauce. The waiter said it was chicken marsala, but I Googled it today to make sure I wasn't thinking of something else. Google description: Chicken marsala is an Italian-American dish of chicken escalopes in a Marsala wine sauce. It is a variation of traditional Italian scaloppina dishes, of which there are many varieties throughout Italy. The images on Google don't resemble my dish either. I knew I was aware of what I was ordering, but I started to doubt myself since the waiter said it was chicken marsala. Anyway, it was still good, but I will clarify next time because I really wanted chicken marsala. My aunt had the pizza. The dishes were both large enough to take leftovers home. Our company ordered catering lunch. 3 pans of food. We have never had to pay for bread. Today we didn't receive any bread. Called to find out why, now you have to pay for it. Staff told him it wasn't included and that it was on the menu. He ordered went back to get it and staff had an attitude dropped the pan on the counter and walked back to kitchen. You can tell they work hard in the kitchen and they are putting our excellent food. I had 3 course lunch. Caesar salad , chicken park w fettuccine Alfredo and they gave a banana pudding for dessert . The pasta and sauce was so fresh and great. I don't understand how this place wasn't packed maybe the location is a bit weird where they don't get as much traffic. Palazzo's is one if my favorite Italian restaurants to go to. I found this restaurant randomly one night last year, and I've been going back since. It is a cashless facility, so make sure to bring your cards if you go. You always get bread and olive oil/balsamic vinegar/seanoning blend with it, and the bread is always super good. I think they're pizza crust that's cut up, but they're always well seasoned and delicious. For the pasta, I always have to get their shrimp scampi. It comes with mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes, but I always need to sub the sundried tomatoes for regular tomatoes because of my medical reason. It's probably one of my favorite shrimp scampi that I've had everywhere. This entree used to come with a small house salad, but they removed that recently. I also really like their fruitti di mare. The seafoods for this pasta dish are always perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The sauce is light, tasty, and similar to the shrimp scampi sauce. read more

Friends suggested Palazzo's for a get together. Turned out to be a great selection. We were greeted promptly, brought to a table in a warm, inviting dining room and our server introduced himself. We were given plenty of time to review the menu while water was brought to the table along with garlic bread and oil & herb dip. Specials were described and questions answered. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. Crispy, not greasy and served with plenty of thick, tasty tomatoes sauce. I ordered chicken Marsala. Fabulous. The chicken was cooked perfectly, not dried out (happens often with this kind of dish) and the pasta was slightly al dente. The Marsala was perfect, loaded with mushrooms and a well balanced wine presence. All the dishes served were well portioned. You certainly won't go home hungry. My wife's scampi was prepared with a marinara sauce and the garlic flavor carried through nicely. Her angel hair pasta was also prepared al dante. Our friend's lasagne was her favorite "go to" dish and it completely met her expectations. And the pasta palazzo vanishes, so I can only assume my pal enjoyed it! Another plus? You can bring your own wine (although they have quite a nice list). Curling fee is $10. We brought a Carmeniere and a nice Chianti. Fresh wine glasses were brought when we changed wines. My only suggestion-some dishes come with a side salad and some don't. I didn't see that differentiation on the menu. So three of the four dinners got salads with their meal. The 4th salad would be alacarte. Sorry, no room for dessert. Although I'm told their tiramissou is excellent. BTW, 4 dinners plus appetizer and corking fees came to about $50 (+tip) a couple. For food this good, that's a steal! Would we recommend Palazzo's? Heck yes. Will we return? Absolutely. read more

Finally tried Palazzo's. We took a place at the bar to place an order to-go and have a beverage while we waited. Roberto was very attentive and a joy to visit with. After I selected a Chianti and the husband selected a beer, Roberto offered us the most delicious bread and oil to enjoy while we looked at the menu. The Tomato Bisque is fantastic! They include croutons. Roberto said everything is made fresh, in house. Our pizza, hmm, the husband considered the dough was not a fresh as it could have been and the sauce was not evenly distributed. Also, he would have liked the spinach under the cheese as it was crispy. I liked it. I would have liked to crust to be less doughy, but the flavor was good. Our group has been coming here regularly for months. There are six of us and we have come in for lunch often. We have always requested separate checks and there's never been a problem. Today, they no longer provide separate checks, and they impose a 20% gratuity. It's fine if a restaurant wants to adjust policy but being regulars, it would have been nice to know about the changes. I approached the manager/assistant manager, to which she replied that they do, in fact, offer separate checks. She asked where we were seated, and I pointed out our table. We noticed she approached our waiter, said something and then walked off. We asked her to come to our table to explain and she stated this was new policy. We asked about the included gratuity and she said that was also a new policy. Then walked away, no apology, nothing. Now, I for one, always tip even more than 20% if the service is good and even when it isn't at times. However, I won't be returning to this restaurant. We office next door and I plan to warn everyone I know about their new policy. Bad business. read more
