We had been moving all day and so many things were left in boxes I could not dare cook. I watched this man make everything from scratch and as I was asking him questions he actually answered them with enthusiasm. The food is great but the customer service is incredible. I placed a phone order and was given the wrong food. When I called in and explained the problem the same guy was very apologetic and offered to replace the whole order free. What could have been an incredibly bad situation ended up being the exact opposite. We ordered pizza and appetizers last night and were charged $233, which we later on realized seemed to be way too much for the amount of food that was ordered. When we went in to see what could be done, the two workers we spoke to were amazing and wanted to help us but since we paid with cash to a delivery driver, we would need to speak to the owner later on in the day. We went back in and everything was handled before we had walked in the door. The owner, Albert, had our receipt ready, apologized for the situation and was able to pay the difference between what we were charged and what we were supposed to be charged. We did not have to explain the situation again since the workers had explained everything when their owner came in for the day. A decent slice. Wings arent bad either. Again, it wasnt the cleanest place but I was willing to over look that. The taste of the soft drinks though is what I have issue with. With poor water quality in Buckeye, the hard water adds a funky flavor to drinks. Most restaurants have added filters to their systems and that may be something that Palmero's will have to invest in. Dont be put off completely though, Palmero's does offer ice cold beers as well. read more

Palermo's has IMO the best wings for a pizza joint in Buckeye. Their pizza is great, they are always courteous and the prices a great.

Their wings are pretty good. Usually my wife and I will get pizza from another place and order wings from here. Their pizza in the other hand is pretty gross. Not sure if it's the cheese they use. But the smell, texture and flavor of their pizza is pretty bad. Hope they change their recipe on the pizza to make it better, since reading others reviews, I'm not the only one who thinks that. First time trying this place after moving from Phoenix to Buckeye. Ordered a take out of a medium 3 topping pizza and breaded zucchini. The pizza was a sloppy mess with the consistently of a wet paper towel. Had to eat it with a fork. The zucchini was cooked to within one shade of burnt. Don't know if this was a fluke or not. Ordered a pie and medium wings from here today for us and some out of town guests that we had. The service was great and very friendly. The food was hot when we arrived to pick it up. When we got home and opened it up it looked amazing. When we bit into it it tasted great. The wings had just the right amount of spice, and they were cooked perfectly. The pizza had just the right crisp on the crust. My guests were really impressed with the food choice. I personally have always liked the food from here, but today it truly was awesome. I really had a craving for pizza so I thought I'd give this place a try. It all started when I walked in and it was hot in there and I thought they don't have the ac on. Nevertheless I approach the counter noticing the place didn't seem very clean. After ordering my food I sat and waited for at least 20 minutes for a single calzone. After receiving the calzone I quickly noticed the top was burnt quite badly. While I'm trying to eat my burnt food all I can hear is The employees joking and laughing and even cussing. I thought to my self this business does not run very well and this is why it took 20 minutes for a single calzone. They never checked on me once or asked me how my food was they were too busy hanging out and having fun instead of running a business. There is only one old man that looked like he was working and I would guess he owned the business but there was like six kids just hanging out. I'm not saying this is the best Italian food I've eaten, but this small restaurant in the Fry's parking lot is easily overlooked in terms of location and food quality. I've ordered take-out Spaghetti and Meatballs dinner several times and have really enjoyed it. I usually save half for the next day and it's equally good warmed up. You can't beat the price for a whole meal. The salad and bread are certainly extras that highlight the meal. I particularly appreciate the good service from behind the counter. They are fast, friendly, and happy. How many places can you say that about today?!?!?!? Let's pitch in and make this place more popular so it doesn't suffer from lack of customers and have to close its doors. Came in today and found out that the hot wing orders have gone from 25 to 20 or from 50 to 40 while the price stays the same.... wings are average but small, at this price point I'll take my business to Booty's or Native. We were stuck on a place to order from on Christmas Eve. And we live in old town. We called and the girl that answered the phone could not have been nicer. They took our order of 4 sandwiches and 2 bottles of soda and was here in 40 minutes. The sandwiches were delicious... fresh meat and veggies was extremely apparant!!! The best we have had sense moving here from Connecticut. Tonight we ordered a pizza and WOW!!! They have gained regular customers. This is the perfect little mom and pop type place. It's large enough that if you were having a get together there is plenty of seating and yet small enough you have that cozy atmosphere. Tried this place a little over a year ago and the pizza was a little less than average but thought we would give it another try. If anything the pizza has gotten worse and the customer service was less than stellar. Ordered a large sausage, peperoni, mushroom. Handed me the to go box but I opened to check and there was no sausage. They took the pizza back and in less than 3 minutes gave the same pizza back to me with some sausage scattered on the top........not even sure they tried to reheat it. I love that there is a Palermo's less then 5 mins from my house! We still order it to be delivered once in a while when we are just too exhausted to leave the house. My favorite pizza topping is sliced tomatoes. Palermo's is the only pizza place that slices fresh whole tomatoes for my pizza. Fresh tomatoes makes such a huge difference, it is delicious. They're crust is thin and easy to bite/chew, but still sturdy enough to not fall and drop all the toppings. I like that they offer oregano along with parmesan for your pizza. We always order either the pizza and wings special or 2 cheese pizza special. You can't go wrong with 2 XL cheese pizzas for $24, it's such a steal. They do offer pastas, and a few other dishes, but I've never tried them. We go just for the pizza and wings and we're never disappointed. read more

Meatball sub and garlic knots are very good, pizza is ok. My biggest gripe is that the restaurant always smells like a sewer. Either the people there don't notice it anymore, or they don't care. Amazing establishment! We frequent this place and would recommend it to everyone in the area. Their pizza is one of the best that you will get in Buckeye and everything that I have had here I have enjoyed. If you're ever in the mood for breadsticks or caesar salad, it pairs well with their pizza. To add to this, their employees are well trained and have always been courteous. We also order take-out over the phone quite a bit and our order is spot on each time and never takes more than 20 minutes. This is by far the worst Italian food,I've ever entered into my mouth. My family and I,came to this place after a vacation in Mexico. Needing something other than Mexican food we figured Italian would be a good start and we were starving. Now the Palermos in Ca. is awesome,so we assumed it would be good....bad assumption. We ordered the pizza with all kinds of meat,veggies,and extra cheese,I believe it's called the supreme. Also the spaghetti,deep fried mushrooms,and house salad. To start,the bread rolls that come with the spaghetti were actually quite tasteful,however the spaghetti noodles were mushy,the sauce was straight out of a can(no flavor),watery,and the processed meatballs had obviously been defrosted. Then the house salad arrives,let's make this clear DO NOT expected some amazing salad creation;lettuce,tomato,dressing,your welcome. Now the pizza,extra cheese in translation with this place means none at all;the dough had a freezer burn taste,the can sauce,defrosted sausage crumbles,and the green bell peppers were actually a brownish color. For the finale,we ordered the fried mushrooms,when they arrived we all noticed the dark pigmentation. Well when we took a bite,it was certain that they were far to overcooked and lacking any taste. We then asked for another order,a different waiter brought back a new batch that were a completely different shade of tan. He asked "We're they frozen in the middle?",frozen? Is that a reoccurring problem also? I picked up one of the mushrooms I had saved from the first and said "No,they were overcooked,look at the difference". The new batch was not overcooked but flavor was nonexistent. Had we not been tired,sun burnt and starving we would have left.
