I love Food Truck Tuesdays in Smyrna! A true delightful treat during the summer that I wish can…read moreeventually be offered up until Halloween! It's held at Taylor-Brawner Park off Atlanta Rd, which is a great location to spread out, have a mini picnic, and enjoy! The ambiance is family, community, and definitely giving summer! There's a playground for the kids, live music by local performers, and there are bathrooms with changing tables if you have littles that require them. It does get hot since this is Atlanta in the summer so prepare accordingly. The food trucks are mostly a variety yet there have been times when some of the trucks offered the same types of food (fries, tenders, burgers/sandwiches) which can be a buzz kill, so I would recommend going on the City of Smyrna government page on Facebook to see which trucks would be in attendance that day to avoid disappointment. There are some trucks that are there each Tuesday with the King of Pops being one of them. And they have vegetarian and vegan options as well. Ding ding! Most of the vendors accept cards so having a mix of cash and cards is better but not required. Again, I love it and so does my family since there's something for everyone to enjoy! Attend, you won't be disappointed!

I took the opportunity to check this event out tonight! The best way to sum it up is that it is fun…read morefor the entire family-- including the fur babies!! I arrived around 6:45pm and had no problem finding parking. The event is well organized and there are staff that direct you to open parking spaces. You know this is not in the city because there is no fee to park!! You heard me correctly-- FREE PARKING!! The crowd was a great mix, families with kids, couples, friends and tons of fur babies! There is not really any specific organized activity, but be creative. Some people had hammocks set up, balls to play kick ball with and some were just sitting or standing around talking. It's all about what you make it There were a ton of food truck options. I was overwhelmed, but did finally decided to try the Blaxican Food truck. I ordered the collard green quesadilla. The greens were seasoned with turkey meat and had a hint of spiciness to them. I enjoyed every bite of my order! I also had the infamous sesame fries from another truck. I can't recall the name of that truck, but if you see sesame fries on the menu order them. They are only $4.00 and will worth each dollar! Of course I had to have desert. I tried the praline pecan pie from the New Orleans themed truck! Oh my gosh, it is divine!!! If you are up for being around people, eating good, enjoying the beautiful weather, this is the spot to go on a Tuesday evening!

They have great Turkey burgers! Just note, fries are separate, not in a combo.

One of my favorite weekend traditions is exploring a new coffee shop every Sunday somewhere around the city, and this week I decided to give Rev Coffee a try. While I didn't order any food, several menu items looked tempting and worth trying on a future visit. I ordered the Iced Banana Pudding Latte, and it was delicious. What stood out even more was the customer service. The staff had genuinely positive energy, and the cashier was especially helpful in sharing his thoughts on the different drinks I was considering before making my choice. As someone who enjoys writing and working from coffee shops, my only suggestion would be a larger bar-style workspace for laptops and those of us who like to stand, pace, and type while working. It wasn't a deal breaker by any means. They also don't offer a military discount, but that's fairly common and never something I expect when visiting a coffee shop. Overall, I had a great experience. The atmosphere was inviting, the coffee was enjoyable, and the staff made a strong impression. I would definitely recommend Rev Coffee, and it has earned a spot in my regular rotation of coffee shop adventures.

The first time I went to this place it red for a drink going drying the day is a diffent vibe. They have a karaoke stage bar area and a side for a restaurant with seats booths and I think I saw high tops outside and inside. We weren't great right away this visit to eat at the restaurant but the service was great and quick. The food came out right away. I ordered very slow so my friend got their food first and really quickly. They knew what they wanted right away. I just did not. . Food was hot fresh and good

Updating my review to 1 star - this same bar manager, Jesse, confronted me the next time I saw him…read moreand said if I didn't change my review from 3 stars, I'm no longer allowed in the bar. So, just so the public knows, if you speak openly about your honest experience at Atkins and it's not a 5 star review, you will be threatened to be removed from the bar unless you change it. This is 100% unethical and I've never encountered this level of unprofessionalism in my life. Will be letting BBB know what happened here, and I will be telling my friends, who come here regularly with me after run club, and everyone I encounter, to avoid this place at all cost. I also had Atkins as a recommendation for my Airbnbs, which I will definitely be removing. The management here needs a serious do over before it's acceptable. Do better Atkins. Everyone should go to Vintage or Stillfire, where the customer service has always been top tier and they manage their business ethically. Atkins Park has been my favorite bar in Smryna for years and I've been coming consistently since 2022. The past couple of years I've started coming even more, up to a couple of times a week, since I go to a Monday run club that meets in the village. I'll often bring my running friends over for post run food and drinks. The bartenders are amazing and I consider many of them my friends. The food is good and the atmosphere has always been fun and welcoming up until recently. Unfortunately, an incident happened with a bar manager on Friday evening that has made me decide to take a pause from coming to Atkins for a while. I've gotten really comfortable with the employees, bartenders and bar managers, and we often joke with each other, but the bar manager on Friday did not like a joke I made and he handled it by aggressively threatening to kick me out of the bar. I understand if a joke doesn't land right. Some jokes aren't for everyone. If he kindly told me he didn't appreciate it, I would have understood and never joked that way again, but threating to kick someone out, especially a regular, felt like a huge over reaction. It was very embarrassing and upsetting for me. I feel like someone who works so closely with the public and is a manager should have better reactions and conflict resolution skills.
