Wonderful brunch spot off l-395 in the heart of Shirlington. In terms of ambiance, they do a wonderful job in incorporating local artistry into their design and I happen to notice an individual working on her painting while I was there. Staff are friendly and very welcoming to everyone, I had limited knowledge of their menu and they were eager to recommend their favorites to explore. It is small plates or tapas style so I would recommend their bottomless brunch option to keep things wallet friendly plus try their variety of offerings. Currently there is construction going on in the area but there is a parking garage one block over from the restaurant for those concerned with parking. My favorites would easily be the black bean hummus and the churros. Overall I would return to explore more of their menu next time.
Consistent bright spot in Arlington for over eight years. Fans of the unlimited brunch, decided to give the Monday all day Happy Hour a try. Natalie was great as always, attentive and helpful. The artsy ambience is charming, happy hour food is as good as the main menu, in case you want to sample before going all in. Palette 22 had been on our list for the longest time, and now we're just upset we didn't try it sooner! We went on a Saturday night and made a reservation, which I'd definitely recommend. The space is so unique and artsy. The walls are covered with beautiful artwork (some of which you can actually purchase), and even the menus are works of art. It made the whole experience feel fun and creative. The staff was wonderful, especially our server Noah, who was incredibly attentive and made the experience even better. We did the bottomless dinner, and the value is honestly unbeatable. We tried the grilled gem lettuce, marinated cucumbers, street corn, hoisin-glazed pork belly bao buns, P22 cheeseburger sliders, spicy shrimp & pancetta pizza, funghi pizza, dan dan noodles, rigatoni norcina, and the sesame steak skewers. Everything was delicious, but the standouts were the dan dan noodles (rich, savory, and packed with flavor), the funghi pizza (crispy with earthy mushrooms and perfectly melted cheese), and the sesame steak skewers (tender, juicy, and coated in a flavorful sesame glaze). The hoisin-glazed pork belly bao buns were soft, fluffy, and packed with melt-in-your-mouth pork, while the rigatoni norcina was creamy, comforting, and perfectly cooked. The grilled gem lettuce was also a fresh, flavorful way to start the meal. For drinks, the white sangria and pomegranate ginger mocktail were both refreshing and delicious. Dessert didn't disappoint either, the flourless chocolate cake (with candied pecans instead of hazelnuts) was rich without feeling too heavy, and the churros were light, crispy, and perfect with the caramel and chocolate dipping sauces. We finished with cappuccinos, which were the perfect ending to the meal. 10/10 experience, we'll definitely be back!
Late to the party as I knew of Palette 22 for a long time but never dined. I went on a weekday for happy hour with a pretty decent appetite. The focus of this restaurant is on food and art. I saw a man painting when I walked in here and it was very detailed. It is a lively scene in here. Palette is a nice play on words for the art palette and palate for taste. They serve tapas (small plates) for a reasonable price. There is an all you can eat option in which your entire table has to order, or you can order a la carte. I ordered primarily off the happy hour menu which included the chicken slider, shrimp tacos, jerk chicken skewer, garlic wings and for dessert, I got churros. Most of the food here were extremely salty and did not agree with my palate. The shrimp tacos were the best thing I ate as the veggies gave the taco a refreshing taste. Not the most sanitary either as I found a piece of hair in my food. There is a parking garage nearby a block away.
So bummed that the palette in union market closed down but super thankful that this one exists. Went on Monday to enjoy their all night happy hour and had a time! Love the food, love $40 bottomless food and all that. Service was steady and really enjoyed the outdoor seating area- the vibes were chill and love it!
With the block party outside, Palette 22 was one of the many restaurants inundated with people on Cinco de Mayo evening. I was fortunate to find an empty spot at the packed bar. I couldn't get a real feel for the restaurant because of the crowds of people, but I did enjoy the artwork hanging in the bar area. They had $7 margarita specials, and I really should've ordered 2 because it was exactly what I needed. After devouring one order of chili shrimp tacos, I felt another was warranted. The taco shell was a bit inconsistent, soft in some parts and charred/crispy in others. The flavors were exceptional though, with the heat from the chili sauce paired with the shrimp and peanuts.
Okay, let's start with the highlight: $32.22 per person for bottomless brunch (including a waffle and taco bar) is actually quite reasonable. Since the menu is tapas-style, going à la carte can add up quickly--so definitely go for the bottomless option. Now, the food... it was just okay for me. And hey, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Some dishes leaned overly salty specifically the dandan noodles, chicken skewers, and arroz fritos con huevos. If you're sensitive to salt just something to keep in mind. On the brighter side, the crispy Brussels sprouts were tasty (though a bit greasy), the lumpia was not bad, and the empanadas were delicious. The shrimp pizza was also enjoyable, just slightly salty for my taste. Service, unfortunately, was a bit slow. We were seated right away on the outdoor patio with our dog, which was great, but it took over 20 minutes to place our order. When a server finally came, she seemed surprised we had already ordered and mentioned there was confusion with server assignments. Another staff member came about 10 minutes later with water and tea, which added to the overall disjointed experience. Verdict: a great spot for weekend brunch with a fantastic outdoor patio setup--even on a chilly spring morning thanks to the heaters. Very dog-friendly and reasonably priced. That said there's definitely room for improvement with both food seasoning and service. Sharing this as constructive feedback--I'd love to see them refine things because the concept has a lot of potential!
My favorite brunch in Arlington! It's the perfect place for a few friends or a small family to gather and try so many different dishes. The waffle and taco bars are such amazing additions to an already great menu. I loveeee their Brussels sprouts, they're so crispy and they come tossed in some sort of sweet and sour sauce, the black bean hummus is a must every time as well! Highly recommend reserving a table here for your next brunch!
Food was delicious, the serving was much bigger than expected and were very filling! The staff were courteous and attentive. The only reason I am not giving a perfect 5 star rating is cause the AC unit above our table leaked a bit so we had to move seats to not get wet. But otherwise, definitely coming back again!
Had an amazing experience. While I prefer just ordering a regular meal and avoid "all you can eat" opportunities (just my thing, not saying it's bad), my wife sone and I did go with their bottomless dinner and had a fantastic evening. It gave my wife, son, and I the opportunity to try many little dishes and enjoyed everything we had. These included: garlic maple chicken wings, carnitas tacos, crispy brussel sprouts, crispy criolla potatoes (probably my favorite; I ordered more because they were so good), chili crisp fried chicken sliders, jerk chicken skewers, tuna crisp, marinated cucumbers, chilled chili udon noodles, sesame steak skewers, and more (yes, we put her down ). We even made room for dessert. It was a great deal, wonderful food, and a fantastic experience.
Whew, there's nothing like a great tapas restaurant w amazing décor, and tasteful music. I must admit, street parking ain't easy, but it's not impossible, and it's pretty affordable. Hubby and I first visited this place 2.2025. I located it on Yelp and thought it'll be great for brunch. I didn't even catch the part about the all you can eat EVERYTHING for$32 bucks, $4 for libations. It was a great visit. What did we enjoy? Everything! Literally everything !! Jerk Chicken Skewers, Brussels, Waffles, Tacos, Bellini, Mimosa, etc!! I returned 10.2025 solo, and this place continues to be magnificent. The service is always top tier. I ordered the brussels, chicken wings, and jerk chicken skewers and whew, they were amazing !! I highly recommend this place to everyone to visit at anytime. You will not be disappointed! There's attractive and creative art work throughout the restaurant. There was an artist near the front door during both visits. Great touch!!
First time here for something other than brunch and I like it. I like it a lot. This is only my second time having tapas but I really enjoyed this. Nothing was bad but the scallops and the steak did standout. The sliders were good also but if I had to order them, 1. Steak Skewers 2. Scallops 3. Wings 3. Port City Beer (tie) 4. Sliders 4. Sangria (tied) 5. Tuna Our waiter was very helpful and the rest of the waitstaff was very giving. We were getting all types of food we didn't order. For instance, I didn't order the steak skewers (the first time). They just brought them over. Guess I looked like someone that would like steak skewers. They weren't wrong tho! The first time I came was for Father's Day brunch (Thank you my child!). The buffet had so much on it and everything was so good that I couldn't wait to get back. It did take me a while to get back but I put myself on a dining budget so I had to wait a while but I'm going to increase my budget so I don't have to wait so long next time :-).
I love the overall concept of Palette 22. For just under $40, you get a delicious, multi-course dinner of phenomenal, flavor-packed tapas. It's perfect for almost any occasion and ideal for casual, family-style dining--which happens to be my favorite. The service is great, the food comes out quickly, and tables are cleared efficiently, making the whole experience feel smooth and well-paced. Everything tasted great! My standout dishes of the day were the Green Papaya Salad (GET THIS) it was so complex and juicy! i imagine it would be even better paired with crispy pork belly. The seared scallops were also very good. A solid go-to spot when you want variety, great flavors, and a fun dining experience.

First off Nicholas was a pleasure as our server. Reliable deliciousness! The southwest Caesar is a great starter for getting in the veggies before pigging out on the rest. The fungi pizza is by far my favorite of the pizza options. The winner of the sliders is the chicken one for me. My only issue with this most recent visit is that the chicken wings were way too salty. I count it as a fluke and hope you have the great experience this place is known for. read more

This place rocks. There were 4 of us and we got the bottomless brunch! Everything was so so good. We ended up getting 20 plates and visited the taco bar multiple times The beef and lamb tacos were delicious - try the lime crema! Brussel sprouts, shrimp and grits, Mexican corn, curry empanadas, cucumber salad, jerk chicken, cheeseburger slider (with pimento cheese and fried onion straws), and Szechuan sausage and biscuit - all killer. The fried chicken sliders were good, but not excellent like everything else. For dessert we had churros, monkey bread, pancakes (with just the right amount of vanilla), and fresh fruit. We left with a little bit of pain in our stomachs but a smile on our face and the pride of leaving no food on the table. Seriously incredible. They need to open a place in Tacoma, WA!! read more

I tend to stay away from AYCE spots because I find the food quality to be lacking. Its quite the opposite at Palette 22. Every food item we ordered ranged from good to great. The only reason food may have been left on a plate was from being too full. We were in town for a cousins reunion and made reservations at P22. I don't know how they do it but this enormous amount of food comes out fast, the right temperature and delicious! Our server John was incredible and so on top of the food frenzy as we ordered. I had the garlic maple chicken wings, steak skewers, pork and shrimp lumpia, green papaya salad, Dan Dan noodles and churros for dessert. Everything is served tapas style so think small plates. Vibe and decor of the restaurant was very nice. We were at a table of eight kind of tucked away in a part of the restaurant and we went to town on that food! We had reservations for 7pm and by 8pm our feeding frenzy was over. Thats how fast and organized P22 is. We sat for a while longer to let the food digest then walked blissfully into the unreasonably warm spring night! Bottomless dinner is $38 per person. A steal at that price and in this high priced food environment we have currently. read more

Arrived an hour too late for brunch. Brunch ended at 3pm and 4pm on Sundays...NOTED! So we opted for the bottomless dinner which consisted of unlimited tapas. We tried a little bit of everything. I really enjoyed the brussels and Mexican street corn. I also enjoyed the pepperoni pan pizza after pulling off the pepperonis lol As well as my Blueberry Mojito. The hubs enjoyed his options as well. Will definitely venture back for brunch. The menu is interesting as they offer a variety of options from Mexican, Mediterranean and Asian fusion dishes. Service was great. The bartender who also waited on us was on point with her service even though she manned the bar as well as the tables that were around the bar area. I was certainly impressed. I was so excited to try their pizza out. Uber Eats to DC. We picked up the pepperoni and street corn pizzas. There was practically no sauce on either and it tastes like it's made from that cheap Sysco dough that they also use in frozen pizzas. It's looks great but tastes like dry cardboard I will mention the pepperoni itself was great. Not sure where they sourced it but pretty tasty. What a waste of a whole evening dinner. read more

One of the only places with unlimited brunch where all the food items tasted good. My favorite was the khao soi empanada and French toast with cornflakes as the crust. In addition, the chicken sliders was spicy and juicy, lumpia with shrimp and pork was crispy, pupusa was cheesy, the sausage biscuit was hearty, and pizza was tasty. I also tried the chicken skewers (not pictured) and they were juicy. Now, I wouldn't recommend the agua Fresca because it's very watered down to what I'm normally used to. Needed way more watermelon in it to stand out. Service was pretty quick and there's plenty of seating inside (would still recommend to get reservation if going on a busy weekend). The Great: The P22 Cheeseburger Sliders are amazing as before. Crispy onions add a nice texture to the bite. Service was excellent. The Good: Seating not available except the bar, but that just means they were busy for a Sunday lunch. The Not so Good: The water tasted like dishwater. I've had sodas have the same taste here before. The bar tender was making red drinks above the sink which held the ice. Those drinks were dripping down into the community ice. First timer and was impressed. Decor featured local artist with their works for sale. Tables well spaced and cozy at the same time. We went for a birthday brunch. Brunch was priced well and tasty. We had Street corn, spicy chicken sandwich, chicken empanadas, shrimp and grits. Our waiter Natalie was patient and kind even when we complained about a dish not being hot. Giving kudos to the most amazing brunch this morning!! My favorite MiL and I went to Palette 22 for the all you can eat brunch to host our annual birthday celebrations together!!! We are in cloud nine of the red carpet treatment! They surprised us with a mimosas, balloons, the most delicious dessert and a lovely birthday card! Came here for dinner this time and sat at the bar. We opted for the bottomless option and we enjoyed the food more than we enjoyed the brunch last time. We loved the flavor of most things. Definitely recommend: Crispy Brussel Sprouts - loved the flavor and would recommend the sauce here be used for the Chilled Chilli Udon Noodles which lacked a little flavor Chili Shrimp Tacos Spicy Shrimp & Pancetta Pan Pizza The Dan Dan Noodles and Sesame Steak Skewers were very salty and while the flavor is there, the salt was a little too overpowering. The Butter Chicken Tikka Masala was okay and also leaned on the salty side but not bad. For dessert, the churro had great flavor but unfortunately was not cooked all the way, it was just a little underdone and gooey in the center. Palette 22 is one of those places I hold a little closer to my hidden gems. Far from MD but so worth the drive. The food has yet to disappoint anyone i've shown this place to. (I recommend the jerk chicken skewers) They have a bottomless dinner option for $38.99 All You Can Eat. (Tapas) They also offer a Brunch special, with a different menu, tasteful and has a lot of variety! This restaurant is also art inspired, selling all art on the walls and occasionally has a Live Artist. Parking is right behind the restaurant and is spacious. read more

Dinner at Palette 22 last night made our trip to Alexandria, VA very special. Parking was very easy, parking garage 2 blocks away and beautiful weather. We chose to sit outdoors which worked out fine. Our waiter Ernesto could not have done more. Exceptional service here. All the dish (and we sampled 6) were enjoyed by four of us. To describe each dish would take forever, so go to Palette22 and explore! We look forward to a return visit. We came for the bottomless tapas dinner and it did not fail! I was expecting small bites but the serving size was large. We were a table of 4 which made everything shareable and allowed us to indulge on more variety without wasting food. The Sangria is the special with the food as it is a cheaper rate when paired with the unlimited tapas. If one person in your party wants the bottomless tapas, the entire party has to get it. Trust me, it's worth it. My favorites were the potatoes and the scallops. The potatoes were perfectly cooked with a crisp all around and moist center. The scallop was also cooked well and the addition of the mashed potatoes was a pleasant surprise to my taste buds. My least favorite was the pork belly bao and surprisingly the chicken wings. They both have the potential to be good but it was a bit salty for me. The saltiness overpowered the flavor. Very nice place, cool vibe, and great service. Will return. read more

First time at this restaurant and loved it! The restaurant was larger than I expected, but was cozy and welcoming. We loved all the local artwork on the walls! Food was excellent. We had the bottomless dinner and with most all-you-can-eat places, I did not have high expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the ingredients and the thoughtfulness of the menu! Our server, Damian, was amazing! He was very knowledgeable, attentive, and very friendly. Visited Palette 22 a few Sundays ago at noon and while it was busy we got seated quickly and even had a window seat, the space is quint but comfortable. Our waiter was sweet and prompt, we did the bottomless brunch and ordered a number of small plates, from southwest Caesar, monkey bread, shrimp and grits, French toast sticks, cheeseburger sliders, curry chicken empanadas, spicy fried chicken sliders, jerk chicken skewers and more. Everything was delicious, no complaints at all and came out quick and timely. We ended our meal with two orders of churros but the waiter forgot. So when we reminded him he got right to it and one order of amazing churros were brought out, but when asked the person who brought it out for the other order he acted like he couldn't. So we just told him not to worry about it. Other than that, our brunch was great! Will most certainly return. read more

A first for me but worth the drive! The Bottomless Dinner is back and delicious and nutritious! We really enjoyed having the variety of tasty tapas style food to choose from and without feeling overly stuffed. The hostess and the server, you know what how about the entire staff was wonderful and on point. Great customer service will definitely get my money and time. It was a little loud BUT it was during HH, so it was as live as expected and should stay live! The art all around was fun and swanky. I simply can't get enough of this restaurant for brunch. My second trip with a group this time was absolutely perfect. I definitely recommend doing the bottomless brunch with a group so you can try just about everything. I'm not sure what was different this time, but the food was improved by leaps and bounds over our last visit. That's saying something since it was really good the first time. Our server was excellent and made sure that our group of six was not lacking anything as far as food or beverages. The spicy shrimp and pancetta deep dish pizza was phenomenal. The deep pan crust was buttery and flavorful and the cheese was plentiful. It was so good, that I ate it before remembering to snap a picture. I'll take one on the next visit. The pupusa benedict was much better than the first visit. While I did not get the monkey bread, some of our party tried it and it looked amazing. I just simply did not have room for it. The fried chicken sliders were amazing. Of couse, I had to have another round of Dan Dan Noodles and a waffle to close the show. The Bloody Mary with the jalapeno flavored tequila was surprisingly good. I'm getting hungry just typing and already planning the next visit. My recommendation is come with a group and try everything. You're bound to find something that you love and surprise yourself with something you've never tried before. read more

Had brunch here and chose to do a la carte: monkey bread (yum), French toast sticks (yum), jerk chicken sewers (delish), spicy shrimp & pancetta pizza, and chipotle chicken pizza. Both pizzas were bussin (double yum). Although the atmosphere was very busy and loud, the waiter still took out time to explain how the brunch experience works. We come to this place often. And it does not disappoint because the standard quality for food and service is always great. We love their bottomless option as we can try everything and enjoy a laid back environment. Most tapas come with 2 servings/pieces. They pizza is quite big for tapa style. My friend and I ate dinner here on a Friday around 6:30pm in September. We wanted a place to eat before seeing a show at Signature Theatre. I hadn't been here in 7 years, so I was excited to eat here again. We were seated immediately. We were seated in the back at a four top table near the kitchen. It was kind of loud in the area hearing the dishes clank, but we were out of the way of most of the foot traffic, so I didn't mind. The music wasn't too loud, which was nice. There are quite a few tables in the restaurant (many four tops) so there will be plenty of room for your party and tapa dishes. The menu had a nice array of cuisines and dishes. The dishes are cooked to order and come to the table when they're ready. Service was decent. Our server was training another person, which was fine. They checked in on us a few times and food came out promptly. We opted for the "Passport", which is any 4 menu items for $38.22 per person. If you choose the Passport, all people in your party must order it. The dishes ranged from $6 to $15. My dishes totaled $45 if I ordered them individually. My friend's totaled $34 if she ordered them individually. We ended saving $2.56 with the passport. It might be worth it if you want the higher priced dishes. Some portions were much larger than others, but overall they were fine. I had: - Crispy Criollo Potatoes (smoked tomato aioli, ahi picante sauce, cotija, lime) - My favorite of the night! The potatoes were so crispy and creamy. The sauces with them were delicious. - Cuban "Sliders" (capicola, salami, pickles, swiss cheese, dijon aioli, pressed bread) - I liked this, but probably wouldn't order it again. - Butter Chicken Tikka Masala (basmati rice, caramelized onions, roasted corn, tikka masala sauce) - Great. Lots of wonderful flavors going on. - Sesame Steak Skewers (ginger aioli, toasted sesame seeds) - My second favorite of the night. The aioli was the perfect dipping sauce. My friend had: - Crispy Brussels Sprouts (soy-chili honey, sesame almond granola) - Lebanese Spiced Carnitas Tacos (shaved lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, serrano labneh) - Curry Chicken Empanadas (khao soi curry chicken, peppers, onions, ginger) - Pork & Shrimp Lumpia (garlic, napa cabbage, carrots, ginger, soy, spicy lime vinaigrette) My friend enjoyed everything she got. I tried a few brussels sprouts and they were delicious. I hope to return to this location soon. The service was good and the food was excellent. I noticed they have a brunch menu, so I would definitely love to check that out. read more

How does the bottomless mimosas work?
So for their brunch, the food is bottomless at the set price and then you can get a Bellini, a Mimosa, or a Bloody Mary for a discounted price of $4.22. They do not actually offer bottomless drinks.
Do they offer bottomless brunch during the week? How much is it for kids?
Just weekends currently since the last time I went!

Yes they do! But last time they didnt have propane so i would cal ahead !
Do you need to make a table reservation for happy hour?
I'm not sure, but I made a reservation through open table and it was nice and smooth. Walked up to the hostess and sat right down. Went at 11:30 for brunch
Do they have gluten free options?
Yes, they do. Salads, octopus, ribs, wings, tacos, etc.
When does brunch end?
I just called and they said 10:00 to 3:00, but given the other answer I would just call and double check.
Do they take separate checks?
Yes! When we were there they easily separated the check. I'd advise telling the waiter that you want separate checks when you order.
