The food is pretty good. A lot of flavors so it hard to pick one out but I'm more concerned with the staff than the food. I watched 3 young ladies dance behind the counter while i wiped off my own table and currently see 5 that needs to be cleaned. It would take probably 30 seconds but they don't seem concerned. Disappointed...this place used to have fabulous salads but not any more. The salads are served with the lettuce core and inedible parts of the lettuce. When you ask about the lettuce the servers know nothing about the food. When I told them that the lettuce is not good the servers just looked at me like that they didn't know what to do. Secondly the buffalo wings had too much dry seasoning...it's so much dry seasoning that you cannot taste the chicken. Too bad because my family and I used to love this place. read more

The pizza is really good and seem like a good value so I'll probably be back. Little things it would've made my experience better would be a sign that says order here when you walk in so a person doesn't go sit in a booth and wait forever wondering why no one's coming. Also I ordered water and they gave me a bottle of water which was great but it was room temperature I don't think it be that hard to have chilled bottles of water. But they didn't charge me for it so that's good. And even though there were only two patrons in the restaurant several of the tables were not bussed and I saw one lady bussing her own table so she could sit in a booth. I gIve this one star because when I finally got my to go order, that I called in AN HOUR EARLIER, it was actually decent. The workers at the restaurant need serious help/training. I ordered a salad over the phone. I was told that it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I arrived at Palio's 15 minutes later. The clueless girl at the counter took my money and told me that the chicken on my salad was in the oven and would be out in just a few minutes (this was a lie). I sat and waited for 35 minutes. I saw other customers get upset about the length of time it took to get their food. I finally went up to the counter and asked clueless girl if my order was ready yet. She had to ask me what I ordered. It took all the self control I had to kindly tell her a Caesar salad with chicken. She literally turned around, and THEN put my chicken in the oven, through some lettuce in a carry-out container, and bagged it up. It took 2 minutes for my chicken to warm in the oven. An HOUR for a salad. I heard from a former employee that this restaurant went a week without cold water a few years ago. The owner told his employees to stay open and use cold water to wash dishes with. I was hoping that things had changed. Apparently not. I will never come back here. I think if customers knew how poorly managed this place was (so poorly managed that health concerns are an issue), this place would close. read more

Really good pizza at a really good price. I've been here a few times and the pizza and focaccia is consistently very good. They've found some great classic flavors that you won't find at the cheap chain delivery pizza places, and their prices are about the same. I've always gone with my family and the adults each order a medium pizza (to get variety and to have leftovers). I try to try something new each time and I've been surprised at how good some of the toppings have been when I didn't think it sounded that great. Who would think that adding cashews to a hawaiian pizza would improve it so much? Anyway, it's always clean and the staff are always friendly and attentive. If you haven't been here, you should try it the next time you're in the mood for pizza. read more

2 stars is harsh since we never had a truly bad experience, but I'm sorry, this place just doesn't deserve to have a 5-star overall rating. The food is acceptable, especially for Granbury. Some of the specialty pizzas have unusual combinations of ingredients that work...but some just do not: they're weird for the sake of being different, but don't taste good. And in general, the food is very over-priced. Their largest pizzas feed 2 people for around $20. If the pizzas were a bit less expensive we might be inclined to go back, but for mediocre take-out (which is essentially what this is, since the restaurant has no wine, beer, or bar), it's not worth it. read more

For Granbury, this is pretty special. Probably the nicest place in town to eat. One major bonus is that the sodas/ice/water don't taste awful like most of the rest of the town. As you'll discover if you spend any amount of time in Granbury, filtration is a must. Husband had lasagna & I had the Mac & cheese. Both passable, about what a person would expect from restaurant (of this caliber) food. The bread that comes with the pasta dishes is pretty good. Service was fine. If I still lived in Granbury I would probably eat here all the time because there just aren't many other options. read more

The manager left me a message stating that he would like to make it up to us and we were pleasantly surprised. our second visit the pizza was good it was hot and crust was good. so I was right it was a fluke and consequently now I would go there again. read more

We have eaten at Palio's in Granbury a couple of times and have enjoyed the atmosphere, the friendly staff and the food. We have had the Greek Gyro (my favorite), Lasagna, Chicken Parmigiana all delicious and hot. Salads are fresh. Would recommend this place to everyone. Ordered Palio's for a lunch meeting and had the Noah. Two words- pink sauce!!! This was a delicious pizza combination of caramelized onion, bacon and chicken which prompted me to really look into their specialty pizzas - if you are in Granbury this is a must for out of the box combinations and much better than Alex' or dominos. I ordered a gluten free pizza online: 1st Palio's online experience is terrible because it has no estimated time that your order will be complete and the link to a phone app didn't work. 2nd I wait 20 minutes before leaving my home, so 30 minutes before I arrive just to be safe. When I arrive there are a bunch of teenagers standing around doing nothing and finally one comes to ask if he can help. When I tell him I have an online order he seems confused, then goes to the back. When he comes out he tells me the pizza hasn't been started because they wanted to make sure the gluten free pizza was what I wanted before making it. Keep in mind I have specifically chosen this option from the menu and paid for the pizza online. 3rd The teenagers are arguing over who is going to make the pizza and no progress is made for 5 minutes! That's it, I'm done!!! I ask for a refund and one of the teenagers comes to the front and plays with the register for a minute then hands me a receipt and walks away without saying a word. No I'm so sorry, let us make this right, nothing!!! I placed the online order because they have messed up my order when calling it in (regular crust given instead of gluten free), sooo I thought maybe this would work better... was I ever wrong! Food is good. However, not as efficient or have as much common sense as the other Palios (Bryant Irving in Fort Worth seems to be the best). Ordered a pizza with bacon. Even said NOT Canadian bacon, just regular breakfast bacon. The same bacon I get on pizzas all the time everywhere else - including other Palio's. Next thing I know I get my pizza and it has something on it that's definitely not bacon (and not Canadian bacon for that matter). They took the liberty of putting little micro square of processed turkey bacon on my pizza instead. I have no idea why they would think this ok... especially without any warning. My other complaint about this location is it takes them forever to bring out the salad (when you get salad and pizza lunch special). All the other Palio's bring it out quick so you can eat the salad while the pizza is in the oven. this one gives you your salad - eventually. read more

Came here around 8:15 with my husband and daughter to eat. The restaurant was empty and we waited over 10 min for anyone to come to the counter from the kitchen to take our order. The guy who was cooking just kept looking at us and then looking away not greeting us or getting anyone to help us out. We ordered a pizza with jalapeños on half only and when it came out you could tell they just threw them on last min, they were cold uncooked. By this time it was 8:55 and the restaurant was closing down. We asked our waiter for ranch and a Togo box and he went back inside and turned the lights down and started cleaning. I actually really like this place, they have really good pasta dishes that come with a very crunchy and flavorful garlic bread. There salads aren't unique but they're good. My son always gets a calzone and he says they're delicious. I'm very picky about meat but the chicken breast here has always been good cuts of meat, seasoned wonderfully, cooked all the way through and just the right temperature. I've ordered from this place several times, and every time I tell myself "never again." This time I'm sticking to it. We live five minutes from the store. It takes us at least an hour to get our food every. single. time. The last time we ordered it took two hours. The time before, an hour, and then the guy forgot something and had to go back and get it, so we had to wait again. I don't understand what is so hard about making and delivering a fucking pizza. The only reason I've ordered from them this many times is out of desperation because they're the only place that delivers gluten free pizza. That's not enough to make up for the frustration. Extremely poor service. Pizza tasted like cardboard. The lady at the counter was an airhead and was just looking off into space while I was ordering and every time I said something she'd turn back and go "huh what was that". Then my friend ordered separately from me. She never got her food. I had finished eating by the time she got up and asked where her pizza was? They said they forgot about it and tried to make some excuse about the computer loosing it. But that's very hard to believe while this lady was in her own world while we were trying to order. I liked the food and the atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. Quiet jazz. Had a dinner salad to start with. They were very fresh and tasty. The King pizza was awesome, but The Mediterranean was good but a different sauce would have made it more to our liking ( not saying it was bad just not our taste ). The cheese cake was awesome. The staff were good, a little off putting, but fully capable. I was disappointed when I asked the lady at the counter for coffee, and she said " we don't have any". I have not posted here in quite some time but I am going to start again. Good and bad. I am sorry that my first post in a while will be negative, but I feel if this establishment needs improvement. I ordered a pizza and two Tiramisu deserts to be delivered. I was given a 45 time for delivery which I was ok with. After an hr and 20 minutes I called back up there to get a new eta. I was told that they were extremely busy and that our order would be there in a few minutes. I did not believe them but they were right. Our order showed up 5 minutes later. I tip the delivery person 5 dollars as I figured that this was not her fault. The pizza that I received was cold to the point that the cheese had already starting to hardened up. To wait an 1 1/2 for a cold pizza was pretty frustrating. Especially when I tipped 5 dollars. This is not the first I have experience less the quality food from Palios. I doubt that I will order there again. I should have known this would be a disaster when as I was ordering I had to repeat myself time and time again. For my name, address, phone number, and cc#. We have visited Palio's three separate times and each time we ask ourselves... Why did we come here again? The food is mediocre and nothing to write home about. The staff has always been friendly and the restaurant is usually fairly well kept. On our last visit there was a ton of water in front of the drink station that was definitely a slipping hazard but they weren't really concerned about it. The food always comes out warm-ish but never hot. Last time we decided it's probably not changing so we won't be back. When your six year old won't eat the pasta and marinara because "it tastes funny" you know it's time to go some where else. read more

Been coming to this restaurant since it opened but think I'll skip it from here out. They used to have really good pizza. It has definitely gone down in quality. It now tastes like it's been frozen. They somehow turned a cheese bread order into a cheeseburger pizza order. Bit of a shock on that but didn't have time to wait for them to fix the order since it took so long to get it out the first round. Asked for a manager and was told that there wasn't one there.
