The lady that took our order had a bad attitude. The food wasn't very good at all. Would've been better going to Pizza Hut.

Arrived a little after 9 pm and there was one other table and everything seemed slow. Knowing that I will be coming here often I am looking for a Goto pizza place. Ordered the fresh margarita pizza as this is the true test to all pizza places to level the play ground. Looked good as advertised. The pizza had no flavor whatsoever. The Roma tomatoes were late in the season and were so thick cut they were hard to the taste and with a very thick skin. The fresh mozzarella had nothing going and easily fell off of the crust. The dusting of basil seemed dry again with no flavor. Overly surprisingly the crust was very wet when everything fell off.. The crust it self had som potential but the toppings did it no justice. I'm still not quite sure how to pronounce the name of this place, but I can tell you that their pizza is outta sight!!! We went tonight on a whim, and were not disappointed. You order at the counter, get a number and have a seat. It's BYOB and all kid's meals are only $3.99 and include a drink. We got a medium and were told we could get a half and half on it so we got The Club on one side and The King on the other. For $11.99, we got to try two pizzas and damn were they good. The Club has the ingredients of a club sandwich with a little lettuce and a drizzle of ranch. The King has sausage, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms and green and yellow peppers. The crust is thin and flavorful. They have a huge selection of specialty pizza choices and nothing looked run of the mill. We also ordered the Il Palio pasta dish for $8.99 and although it came out a bit luke warm, it was filled with mushrooms, grilled chicken and artichoke hearts. We should have ordered the baked ziti, but this dish was ok. I don't think I'd order it again. If you eat here, you must try the pizza. They even have delivery and the take out orders seemed to be ready quickly. The restaurant isn't really near anything exciting but a Starbucks so I hope it gets enough business to stay afloat. read more

I recently visited Palio's for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. If you're thinking about going here for dinner, be aware of two potential turn-offs. #1 - we ate there on a Friday night and the place was packed with young, noisy kids. Not a good venue for a quiet, romantic dinner. #2 - you need to go to the counter to place your order, which took us a few minutes to figure out, since it otherwise looks like a normal sit-down restaurant. It's obvious if you enter through the front, but the only parking when we arrived was near the back entrance, where there's no clue that the restaurant has counter service only. If you do have kids - definitely check this place out. The pizza is accessible enough for the youngsters, but not too dumbed-down to be enjoyable to the adults. BYOB is a big plus from a budget standpoint - and a nice glass of wine helps take the edge off the din created by the multitude of young diners. Restaurant.com offers coupons that make it even more economical. If you don't have kids but don't mind them - stop in for a reasonably priced, surprisingly good pizza. The crust is very thin - almost too thin to support the generous toppings on the Meat & Cheese Deluxe that we ordered. The pizza arrived fast and hot at our table, and the toppings all tasted fresh, which more than compensated for the weak crust. Did I mention you can bring your own bottle of wine? Oddly, the menu offers only dinner-size salads. If you ask, they'll make a side version for you. Not sure why the owners haven't thought to offer the side version on the menu. Stopped by for a quick lunch before a meeting. Ordered the lunch special with pizza and salad. The salad was slimy. I showed the manager and she agreed. I asked her if she could get me a fresher salad or a different side. "Sorry, that's all we've got". I told her I'd rather pass then. She replied "no problem". Brought me a tiny thin crust, overcooked pizza. I then looked at the menu and realized she could have offered me else besides a slimy Caesar salad. A new find for me. Order and sit. And they bring your food out to you. Drinks are a little far t get to and cups are small.. So if you need refills it is a walk. Salad was wonderful and presentation looked appetizing. The Stromboli was ok.. Not heated all the way thru so some of the cheese in the middle was not melted. And the crust outside was almost brunt and a little too think for me. Flavor was good. Cheese bread and dipping sauces were wonderful.. Have to agree with the other posts about the service...the food was good but the service was nonexistent. The place was also very dirty. When we walked in, there was not one booth or table that did not have left over food or wet spots on the tables. If you don't care about the service the pizza was pretty good...nothing great, but good. read more

Had a horrible experience with the manager, her customer service was terrible! Sad to say that because the pizza itself was alright. I tried paying with a 100$ bill, and I understand that it's a "big bill" but it was all the money I had at the time. There was no sign saying I couldn't pay with a certain bill after a certain time, nor a sign stating we only accept such and such bills. I asked why there wasn't one. She couldn't work with me in any way and actually denied my business because they "had fraudulent bills in the past". Instead of investing in a 10$ counterfeit money pen or counterfeit checker, they are going to again turn my business away. So, I go to the gas station, 3 minute opposite direction of the way I came, return after wasting another 10 minutes with smaller bills for them. I ask if there was anything she could do for the inconvenience, again nothing. It was already the end of the night and the pizza was just gonna be thrown away or eaten by someone else. Either way, NOT being paid for at the end of the day. She then makes the remark, "well my kids would probably enjoy eating it". I had already given her the money when I asked if there was anything she could do for me, and I just told her to give me the pizza that I had ordered. This place was just ok. I mean the pizza tasted pretty good but it was super greasy and in the end I couldn't eat it all because it was a soggy mess and I couldn't pick it up. Also...I found hair in my salad and on my pizza. Pretty sure you guys need to wear hairnets and they were severely understaffed. A coworker of mine ended up having to take his to go since it took a full hour to get his pizza to him. Nice atmosphere though...just some details the need to be worked through. Great place for a cheap, fast and a good meal. They have a choice of pastas, sandwiches, salads and pizzas. Their selection is quite good, many choices for many tastes. Their Greek bread is wonderful as is their garlic cheese bread. It's a toss-up of which one I like better. The pastas are good, lots of sauce and great flavor. They have an assortment of pizzas, from traditional style to unusual. Most of the time they are crispy and well baked, unfortunately the last time we ordered there the crust was soggy. We've been trying a lot of artisan pizza places over the past couple of weeks, ranging from Fireside Pies (ok but not memorable), Cane Rosso (been there twice, really wanted to like it....but no) and some local owned places. I must say, Palio's is actually the best we've actually had so far! Crust was firm and crispy, it wasn't limp (Cane Rosso looking at you!), it wasn't sparse on toppings (Cane Rosso and Fireside Pies), was great value (Palio's deals gives you the 2nd pizza for a great price), and the fact that its BYOB makes it very wallet friendly! Great service crew at this location, very prompt and reasonably priced. For a family of 5 to get out of dinner for under $50, inclusive of appetizer and desert, is actually impressive! We had the Meat Deluxe (lots of meat toppings, pretty good blend) and Mediterranean (surprisingly good and I love meat....I liked this!), Greek salad and the chocolate canneloni (yum!) as well as deep dish brownie (favorite of the night!). I will 1000000% return and try the rest of their pizzas. If you're looking for good artisan pizza at a budget friendly price, along with a great atmosphere, please give Palio's a try!! read more

Got Palio's to go as a late dinner while staying at great wolf lodge with the kids. This pizza right here was amazing. The crust was so delicious and I am not usually a crust person. The children had a kids cheese and ate the whole pizza. We got a Alfredo and it blew my mind how yummy it was. I didn't want to share any because I wanted to eat the whole thing myself. Despite calls to the restaurant; calls with the delivery driver, no food! I'll start by saying I'm a black gentlemen in my 30's. This shouldn't matter to anything but unfortunately it still does. Last night around 7:30pm while in a predominantly high end white neighborhood I decided to stop and get a to-go order . When I walk in the Palio's Grapevine restaurant I see 3 workers behind the counter which happen to be all white. They all look up at me and proceed to continue doing what they was doing without saying a word to me. Almost 10 minutes go by with me standing there without being acknowledged at all. It took everything I had not to say anything, but I wanted to see what would happen when another customer walked in behind me. Given the neighborhood I knew chances are the next customer would probably be white people. So in walks 2 white guys and the girl working behind the counter immediately comes to the front and ask me "are you picking up?". Um yes and you all saw me standing here for about 10 minutes and didn't say anything to me until these 2 guys walked in, I'm willing to bet that's my food behind you sitting there getting cold! She handed me my food without a thank you have a good night or anything! As I'm leaving the 2 white guys walk closer to the counter and the female worker immediately says "Heyyyyyy guys how are you, how may I help you tonight".... Date of visit: 12/18/19, about 7pm. I usually love Palios although I had never been to this location. I don't think I will be returning. The pizza was super greasy and the crust soggy underneath. It took at least two different groups asking before drink cups were brought out. One sorry sight was an empty pizza delivery bag being kept in the ice cream cooler. Didn't appear very sanitary. The overall feeling in our visit was that the grownups decided to take the night off. From my many past experiences at their Keller and Arlington locations that they can do better. read more

It is a bit thinner than other calzones I have had but I liked the thin, crispy dough. We really liked the Palio's that was the first to open in this general area in Colleyville. Actually Palio's is my husbands preferred pizza but their pizza is on the higher side price wise so most of the time we end up making pizza at home or going with who has the best deal running. We found out about this location from Groupon; the one we originally ever went to never seems to run one; so due to the price we usually end up over at this one when I do pick a Groupon up to take my husband here. The non-pizza options I would say skip; I've only gotten pizza but the first time my MIL came to one she got the pasta and said she wouldn't be back based on that but when we talked her into trying the pizza she said she would consider them again after trying their main dish. Maybe get an appetizer if your in the mood for one but really skip the other stuff. Staff is pretty nice but it is an order at counter and they bring your food to your table. You fill your own drinks and ask for a box. So keep an eye out for a deal and give it a try. read more

Hello everyone this is our experience with Paleo's as this is our first time in this area and we looked at the Paleo's thinking oh this should be a healthy looking version of pizza. So we thought to look at yelp, look at the pictures and then call to possibly get a good idea of what they say about how healthy their pizza is and to see if they deliver at the resort . we called sitting right in front of the restaurant and the young lady answered heard us and we greeted her and commenced to ask a question and she said hello again as if she couldn't hear. I went here due to a Groupon; based on the service, I can see why they are couponing. The people behind the counter seemed to care less about the patrons. Granted, it is not your typical setup - it is counter service and mostly self-serve. Plus it's BYOB, which apparently is popular with the patrons. The place doesn't open the wine for you - there are corkscrews and wine glasses back by the fountain drinks. The reason why I say they did not have good service is that multiple times we approached the counter and no one was to be found. The girl who rang up my order was brand-new, so that was a learning experience for her and for me. The food was good. They have several pizzas that sounded interesting. I think the best thing we had were the cheese sticks. The house salad was not much to write about. They also have a variety of Sysco-type desserts, PLUS an ice cream case of Bluebell. If you have kids, don't get the Krazy Kolors flavor unless you want to throw that day's clothes out afterwards! Another plus for the place is the outdoor seating, except that it faces west, so on any typical nice day, you are going to bake sitting out there. Overall, there is a better BYOB, italian restaurant down the road. I've heard that there are other locations, which may be better. We've had pizza twice and a calzone once; let me just say that IF (and I'm really wondering about this) they make their own dough, then they must make it with sea water. That's probably to make up for the fact that their toppings/fillings lack any kind of flavor whatsoever. With every one of their meatballs, I was thinking "did they get these from the frozen section at Sam's Club?" Long story short - drink a LOT of water. On this last try, I simply couldn't do the pizza anymore so I gave their Baked Ziti a try. Ladies and Gents, that ain't baked Ziti. They take pre-cooked, soggy egg noodles and cover them with a sauce (which, interestingly has no flavor - even salt, but they probably used it all in the pizzas,) toss it haphazardly into a bowl and toss a bit of indistinct cheese on it. I'm guessing that they put it in the microwave as opposed to the oven as that cheese was barely melted and was not browned on top as you would expect a truly "baked" pasta dish to be. AND it was pretty damned cold by the time it got to us. The place is staffed by a bunch of very young kids who don't seem at all interested in customer service, if they've ever heard of the term at all. This place isn't worth the price and will be a health hazard to the young and elderly who shouldn't consume too much in the way of sodium. Really and truly, folks - don't bother. Great experience dining here on a Saturday evening! We had a Groupon and the young man at the register said they get those all the time so we had no trouble using it. You order your pizza up front here and they give you a table marker and bring it out to you, very quickly I might add! We shared a Sedona salad and a medium The King pizza and both were excellent in quality and taste. The crust is a thin cracker type which was unexpected but I enjoyed immensely and the salad was very fresh. This place is very family friendly and there were lots of young children running around. I usually avoid places like that during peak dining times since I'm a bit noise sensitive so I figured it was worth mentioning.
