However, Pallino's offers decent food-court type options before you continue on to the rental car shuttle. The pizza / pasta / salad offerings here were fine. 2 of 3 of our party got lunch items here, in fact. The only real drawbacks, which are not unique to them, are the limited area to stand around and wait for your order + the common seating area where tables can sometimes be difficult to find. The seating is expansive enough so that if you venture to the furthest area you can usually find something. If you are an hour or more away from other options (home, driving the rental car off-site, etc.), then you could do a lot worse than a meal here. read more

The bread bowl is amazing. Yes, I mean specifically the actual bread bowl, because the soup in it was average. The inside of the bowl is like garlic bread - coated in butter, covered in a hard cheese, slight hint of garlic, then put into their pizza oven to get perfectly toasted. The outside of the bread bowl is also covered with cheese. I got the vegetarian minestrone in my bread bowl, which was average - tomato broth, some vegetables, lots of thick cheese tortellini (a nice touch). The chopped salad was average because it did not have enough toppings, but the salad dressing was really good. Pallino's is a 3.5. Airports have such limited, mediocre, & overpriced food options, so I think Pallino's is special find at SEATAC. Yes it is perhaps a bit overpriced but it's fresh, healthy, & quick. If you order pasta pay attention to the food handler. I have seen this twice now where the food handler users her hands to clean and handle a number of items as well as wipe her gloves on her clothing. Then, using the same gloves reaches into the penne tray to grab pasta to serve and cook. I made them away both times that this is not proper handling of food and requested that she remake mine and not touch it with the gloves. After I had raised this issue, on both occasions on separate trip, the server proceed to to serve the mismanaged food to customers after me. If you fly home and feel sick and ate here, it may be the problem. It is in the airport. I'd avoid this place or watch how they handle the pasta. I also filed a complaint with the food safety administration for kings county. read more

After checking out a couple different places to eat while on a layover we landed here. Strange thing was, our 8yr old daughter wanted spaghetti for some strange reason (she NEVER requests that). I thought we'd NEVER find that in an airport, well at least a decent spaghetti.... I was wrong. We of course ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce (up charge of course), the Proscuito Piadina, a breakfast style Piadina, and one of their cinnamon rolls. I expected pre packaged, reheated foods... Not the case. It was all, for the most part, put together individually and cooked. Cooked fast, but still cooked individually. All their ingredients look pre prepped and ready to go, so it makes things easier to crank out. All the food was delicious! The portions, oh the portions!!!! Holy hell! Utterly pathetic how I came to this place at 8:30 in between my flights and tried to order dinner. I got my children a pizza and for myself I just wanted one of the non-dairy options for a pasta dinner. Each time I asked for an item order I was told that they were out of the item and had run out for the day. I was left with absolutely no options. I asked the gentleman, Imranbhai, taking my order what I was supposed to do. He said I had no other options. I asked how an Italian restaurant in the airport had run out of pasta sauce by 8:30pm. It baffles me. As I cannot eat Chinese food due to the grease, and did not want a salad because I was starving, Pallino was my best option. I then asked him for just plain noodles and Parmesan cheese. He then tried to charge me for a full meal. I said I would pay less because I was just getting noodles. Overall: not friendly, totally absurd and unacceptable that they would have no none dairy options. For airport food, Pallino Pastaria was a welcomed treat! I had some time to spend before leaving Seattle, so I ventured to the food court area at the SeaTac airport. I wanted some carb loving as I had had a bit too much of the adult beverages the evening before and was dreading the plane ride back to NC. I stood in the ordering line, chose the fett alf, paid, and waited while they made my order- yes, the items are made to order. No microwaving some pasta and throwing cheap sauce on it. My travel companion also ordered a pasta dish, and hers was made the same way. For airport food, and the price, you cannot beat this Italian-esque fare. Lunch time at Sea Tac, offered a lot of choices. I had eaten many times at the Pallino in Woodinville but they closed that location. I had the Alfredo with the Italian sausage. Pasta was good, sauce a really runny, and sausage a nice addition. It's strange that we accept extremely overpriced mediocre food at places like the airport and stadium. Can't really wrap my mind around that, but I guess it's because you're willing to hand over hard earned dollars for floppy slop when there are no in's and out's. So the scaling here is a little different because these places are special. So, yeah, I paid like $16 for a cup of minestrone soup and a dolcetto salad (spring mix, Gorgonzola, almonds, grapes, dried cranberries) which were the healthiest options I could find in this terminal. It was a little better than Progresso soup and comparable to a Safeway salad.
