The food was outstanding, and our waitress provided excellent service throughout the entire meal. She was friendly, attentive, and handled a difficult situation with professionalism. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by how the manager on duty, Sam, handled an accident. While helping our waitress deliver our food, he accidentally dropped a container of ketchup that exploded all over the side of my body, covering my arm and my white button up shirt. Accidents happen, and I truly was not upset about the accident itself. What disappointed me was the way it was handled afterward. Immediately after the incident, Sam insisted that a rag with sanitizer and water would remove the ketchup from my white shirt. He then disappeared and never checked back with us until we were preparing to leave. At that point, he handed me the general manager's business card and said I should contact them to have my shirt laundered. After we explained that we were from out of town, he continued to insist that laundering was all they could offer. My wife politely explained that would not be practical and that the situation needed to be addressed while we were there. Rather than working with us, Sam simply walked away. Our waitress had no idea what was happening and was left trying to manage the situation herself. After some time, Sam walked past our table to tell our waitress, who was helping another table, that my meal had been comped because of the incident. He never came back to our table, never looked our way, never apologized directly, and never acknowledged our appreciation for comping the meal. It felt like he wanted to avoid the conversation altogether. Our waitress mentioned that the owner truly values customer feedback and takes reviews seriously. If the owner reads this, I want to be clear. Your restaurant is excellent. The food was fantastic, and your serving staff represented your business very well. However, Sam's handling of a simple customer service issue fell far below what I would expect from someone in a management role. Accidents are understandable. Poor communication, lack of accountability, and avoiding customers are not. Based solely on our interaction with Sam, I believe he is doing more harm than good for an otherwise outstanding restaurant.

The food was great, the salads were fresh and didn't feel like they were scooped from store bought tubs. The fish tacos were really tasty and I really like the corn tortillas. I like that the Mac salad had black olives in it, better than the salad down at Marination! I like that this spot has a little bit of a PNW personality and isn't as bland as other spots in the airport. Service was great and everything came out quickly during my visit. They have a solid beer menu with great local options. I had a hazy from local brewery Logan Brewing that was great and the perfect color for a hazy - you know it's good when it's the right hue! I will say that their food is ridiculously, unreasonably priced. Lots of the food sounds really good but I didn't want anything too heavy so I opted for a Blackened Chicken Cobb Salad. The salad was refreshing, good quality, and the chicken was cooked well. That said, I don't think it needed to be a $20 salad. I guess given that it's the airport it makes sense, it just seemed pretty pricey to me. It's a good little spot to stop before your flight, just anticipate some steep pricing. :)

After climbing the stairs it was open seating, the bar seats faced into the bar not overlooking terminal or airfield. I opted for a view of the airfield, little did I realize this was family seating. After reviewing the menu again I decided on the LOAD BAKED POTATO SOUP and a hard cider from a local Puget Sound brewery. The service was fast to drop a glass of ice water, a since the A/C in terminal wasn't working the water was good to start. The soup arrived fast, but I was shocked when they didn't offer crackers or bread to accompany it! Before I could start eating I had to request/wait for a clean spoon as I don't like food caked my tea spoon (they don't have soup spoons). The cool (Not Ice cold) hard cider was served in a can, or served with frozen mug. What is hard to swallow was the 225% markup on the hard cider. The atmosphere/decor was pretty easy going. I'll remember next time to find a place to eat where kids don't run freely. Sorry, I forgot to get photos to present to you all.
