Experience was terrible. The spray machine was so uneven and the color "enhancements" they upsold mixed into a muddy purple-ish black and there were very dark blotchy spots on my neck, thighs, stomach, feet tops, hand tops. I had to use alcohol and acetone to remove them like ink stains and wound up showering as soon as I got home because it was so patchy. Scrubbed for 45 minutes to get some of these stains off. The girl who worked there told me the machine had recently broken and been repaired, but it may be "happening again." When I called the store an hour later to tell her I'd washed it off and wanted a refund for this horrible experience, she walked that back and said she confirmed the machine was working and it was probably just my skin type and they don't give refunds. Eventually I pushed hard and got a refund but now I know it's definitely worth paying extra for a real airbrush tan. Not a good product, experience, or service. read more

Each time I go to the Sandy springs location the Versa machine is broken, meaning does not work or blows out air only and no product. Also, each time the store representative tells me the company needs to get a new machine. This same incident has happened at a minimum 10 times over the past year I have come to get my versa tan and I average once a month. The company markets word for word they have "Palm Beach Tan is a tanning salon equipped with the best tanning equipment around" The company is selling a broken product to its consumers, marketing incorrect facts and taking money from consumers and not supplying what it is advertising. Response: I have let Palm Beach Tan know of this problem each time it occurs. I have left my my name name and number at Palm beach Tan for the manager to call me to discuss. I canceled my Palm Beach Tan membership after being a member for almost 4 years after how poorly I was treated multiple times when visiting this location. The managers are incompetent they argue amongst each other in front of customers and then yell at you in the heat of things and constantly try to pressure you into buying stuff when you've said no multiple times. Now after canceling I'm still being charged for a membership and they said I'd revive a refund I have yet to receive let alone even just a follow up, when I just want to be done with this staff. read more

The one in Sandy Springs is horrible !! I went last weekend and the bulb was out and the employee did not tell me !! I was super frustrated.. this is not the 1st time I have been to this location !! The bulbs need to be changed so bad !! I will just continue to go to the one in Cumming close to my house instead of work . read more

SS store needs better management. The staff members are all sweet but always in the employee room. The Mystic is never cleaned and ready when customers arrive. Even though it's empty and previous customer is long gone, the employee (who was hanging out in employee room ) always needs to still go back and clean it after check in. Why consistently make customers wait longer than we have to? Clean it when people leave so it's ready for the next person. Issue not limited to one staff member. It's all of them. So after resigning after being gone a few years I was left disappointed and mad joining in October . I'll leave details out as far too many. But the manager at Sandy Springs location Abby I think has corrected it for me. She listened to me gave me a few free upgrades to allow me to choose what membership I may want. I joined in Oct basic plan and wanted to upgrade but wasn't sure which one to choose. I'm glad to be using my upGrades to learn more about the options/tanning beds and what will be best for me and my tan preferences. These days people are unkind don't listen and it's frustrating when a spending money on a service your unhappy with. Always best to tell someone what's happening and let them correct it as she did. I came in to Palm Beach Tan to get a spray tan before a vacation. When I arrived at PBT, I had to wait five minutes for another guest to finish checking in. I overheard the front desk attendant try to heavily sell additional products to the guest, which was a bit over the top for my taste, but the attendant did apologize for the wait after finishing with the other guest. I had done my research and noticed several coupons on the PBT website were available, including one for a free spray tan or week of tanning, with no fine print at the bottom. I brought this coupon with me and mentioned it when I checked in. The staff member at the front desk immediately told me it couldn't be used unless I had a referral form from a current client. While I was referred by a friend, I was leaving the next day for my trip, and there was no way this was to be completed. Instead, I ended up having to pay full price for my spray tan. This to me felt like a bait and switch technique, and was extremely frustrating, especially as it was my first time visiting this business. The spray tan itself turned out great, which is the sole reason I haven't taken off more stars. The Versa booth was easy to use, and the tan dries quickly. Please adjust your marketing techniques and coupons to accurately reflect the available offers, as opposed to using shoddy techniques that are both confusing and inaccurate. I'm not sure I'll be be back to this business after experiencing this issue, but was pleased with the actual spray tan, just not the shady business practices. read more

This location is good but the staff is garbage. They are absolutely brainless which makes it very difficult to come in and tan without being bothered to buy something every damn time. I definitely would recommend to look for other locations. The place seems to be run by kids and I hope upper mgmt will come in and do something to correct this. STOLE MY BELONGINGS.I am an honest reviewer and feel I should warn people about this place. The bed itself I used was a good bed. My experience was AWFUL .It was late Sunday night. I accidentally left my Movado watch and white gold chain and diamond charm. VERY STUPID OF ME!! I returned and store was closed. I called and left a message about my things being left. I was told Taylor found them and put them in safe. Thanks Taylor! I planned on giving a reward. I showed up the next day and Mark Anthony was at desk. I told him I needed to pick up my jewelry. (AT THIS POINT I HAD SPOKEN TO AN EMPLOYEE WHO HAD WATCHED VIDEO FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE AND TOLD ME ONLY ONE OTHER PERSON ENTERED SALON AFTER ME WAS SUNDAY AT 800pm AND DID NOT USE THE BED I USED. No one entered the room except Taylor, to clean it and then she found my things and put them in safe for me. I USED BED BY FRONT DESK! THE VIDEO SHOWS EVERYTHING TO THE MINUTE. I SAW TAYLOR GO TO THE SAFE AFTER LEAVING MY ROOM, TO PLACE MY BELONGINGS IN. I appreciate her being honest. NO ONE ELSE HAD THE ACCESS OR OPPURTUNITY TO TAKE IT. NO ONE ELSE WAS IN CONTACT WITH MY THINGS! THE VIDEO SERVES AS PROOF TO THIS!) Mark Anthony told me there was nothing in the safe. I told him this was IMPOSSIBLE as I knew they were there. He told me "Oh well, there is nothing there, we are not responsible for what you left." He was rude.All I could do was insist to re check. He told me there was nothing in the safe again. No im sorry. Nothing. So RUDE and arrogant, Non-chalant! I walked to my car. I went to my car and cried about 20 mins. He came out. Dangled my necklace in front of me and asked if it was mine. Indeed it was. He then said, "Well that is better than nothing, right?" I asked him to check for my watch again. He basically asked me to leave.THE ONLY TWO THAT WERE IN CONTACT WITH THE SAFE AND MY TANNING BED ROOM BETWEEN THE HOURS MY WATCH WAS LEFT WAS TAYLOR AND MARK. WATCH THE VIDEO! Taylor placed them in safe for me and mark Anthony ketteredge pizzo stole them!!!!! Called the regional manager and she was so kind. Assured me she would look into it. That both the people that had contact with the jewerly would be spoken to in order to return the watch. She also told me Mark was transferred(hmmm thats funny) the same day to a salon 25 miles away. (ironic too, what timing). This occurred a week before Christmas. She called no one. Spoke to no one. Did nothing. I called and left a message to ask the progress. No return call. No one cares and now I am making a police report. Its just not right. Please do not leave belongings here like I did. You will lose them and then be treated badly. I am pursuing charges with the Fulton County sheriffs Dept on the two people. I am not at all one to accuse with no basis. I am very kind and fair. BASED ON THE VIDEOS FROM THOSE TWO DAYS, MARK OR TAYLOR WERE THE ONLY PPL WITH ACCESS TO MY THINGS AND THEN THEY DISAPPEARED. Thank you. read more

This location is terrific in terms of cleanliness and having state-of-the-art tanning equipment/beds, and worth the monthly fee. Since the start of my membership, though, my enjoyment coming here has exponentially dwindled. The staff at this location is SUPER sales-oriented, always attempting to sell me a discounted lotion or bronzer, or an upgrade on my current monthly plan. This happens to me every time I come in to tan, as there is (conveniently) a new promotion available for me each and every time. I dread walking in for that reason, and can predict that whoever is working the front desk will launch into their usual sales pitch. Some days I get a more hard sell than other days. I understand the staff is likely trained to do this, but...it has become very annoying. If it were not for this issue, I would give this place 5 stars, hands down. When I go to tan, I go not only to maintain my tan, but I also find it to be an incredibly relaxing experience after a hard day's work. Unfortunately, my anticipation of relaxation is now nearly ruined by the anticipation of the inevitable sales pitch I will get at the front desk, to which I usually have to say "no" multiple times before it ceases. Once I was offered a discounted lotion, and when I (repeatedly) declined to purchase it, immediately the staff member's eyebrow raised, and tone of voice became quite a bit more condescending. I was treated as though I was insane for passing up such a great offer -- which still equated to a pretty expensive purchase. I felt unappreciated and belittled for not shelling out the dough. I often envision the staff typing nasty notes about me in the computer while I am tanning, or after I walk out the door: "Customer is difficult. Customer will not upgrade to more expensive tanning plan upon request. Customer refuses fabulously-discounted lotions/bronzers." It probably does not go down that way.... but I enjoy imagining it, in order to make my aversion to walking through the front door seem more warranted, prior to being bombarded with yet another sales pitch. Maybe I should ask them to add a note in the computer under my account: "Never offer monthly upgrade or discounted lotions/bronzers to customer." - that might help? Nah, probably not. Despite this, I continue to go to this location as I do love their awesome tanning beds. Sadly, I am likely to remain one of their less-favored customers due to my unwavering refusal of expensive lotions & bronzers or account upgrades. The long, and oftentimes multiple, sales pitches to other customers are also what can contribute to a very long wait when you walk in, as there typically is just one person on duty. read more

This location is not one that has a lot of bright bulbs working here. Very clean but the inability to use common sense when making decisions seems above their pay grade! I would absolutely not recommend this location for you tanning needs! In fact after today's stupidity, I'd say run like h$&@ There are many options out her and I must say that I find bot as a whole the dollar store level in comparison.
