AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Back in March I wanted to do a month of Tanning and what I thought I paid for up front. I was then notified that I should look into it because my friend had problems with this Salon in the past. Turns out you cant do just one month. The associate should have told me this information but she was too busy talking to her friends to explain this to me. When I called management to cancel they would not let you cancel over the phone and fast forward to today I was charged ( covid) for a month for a service I not only did not want but also did not use. The manager Justin completely wrote me off when I spoke to him even though he has an incompetent employee. DO NOT GO HERE. Its not worth the struggle. read more

Loved my visit here! Tia was very kind and she put me on a membership that was very reasonable and low priced. The salon was very busy, but she took her time with me and made me feel important to her. I love how there are so many locations, because I travel a lot for work. It is very convienent that I can tan at any of their shops. I normally prefer to be airbrushed but it just gets too pricey, and their booth is a great alternative for a way cheaper price. read more

Lies, poorly trained sales people and misleading "subscriptions." Beware: the practices of this company are dishonest and employees are not properly trained to sell packages. When I inquired about pricing, I made it very clear that I only want to purchase a one month package - not a subscription. The employee made it clear that I would only be charged for $83.95 ONE TIME so long as I cancelled within the month. When I went to do so, I was told by another employee that I would be charged one more time. I explained what the first employee told me and asked to speak with a manager and left a note explaining how I was mislead. The manager, Amanda, called me, we spoke, and she explained a very confusing "policy" in which people are apparently charged for for two months even when they only want one month. I told her that I was mislead as none of this was revealed at the time of purchase and she needs to appropriately train her employees. Amanda acknowledged that I was indeed mislead. At the time I thought she was honest when she told me that I would not be charged further. Today my credit card was charged $83.95 AGAIN. I just called the salon and the employee read a statement on my account that this manager wrote on 6/19 (the day I spoke with her) stating, "must go through first auto debit before customer can cancel." Apparently Amanda blatantly lied to me. Poor decision - I am now contacting my credit card company and the cooperate office. read more

This tanning salon is by far the worst I have ever been to in Simi Valley. The 1 star is being generous and I can say that the environment is nice and appears to be clean which justifies the 1 star, but the custom service is an absolute nightmare. The staff is not trained, knowledgeable or honest. I decided to give this salon a try because I was told I would receive a free session because I was a new customer. I thought this was worth it and there was nothing to lose. What I ended up losing was 45+ minutes of the staff trying to figure out why I wasn't in their system ... BECAUSE I AM BRAND NEW AND HAVE NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE. I was genuinely baffled why she couldn't get this through her head. I repeatedly said "you do not have my information, I need to give it to you", yet she kept searching for me in their database. She then asked me to sign a release on a front signing pad, but didn't show me the release. WHAT AM I SIGNING? After 45 minutes of back and forth and being told all the beds were "taken" I asked again why i was still waiting for my bed and she said the bed has been ready for awhile, but they can't figure what what's wrong with their computers. JUST TELL ME THAT. Why would you have me wait around for close to an hour why you figure this out?? I am typically a very patient person, but I can't stand when my time is not respected. I will not return & give this salon my business and HIGHLY suggest avoiding this salon if you are searching for a new tanning salon. read more

The representatives are knowledgeable and provide helpful feedback when you aren't sure how long you should go in for/ what color to do your spray tan/ or what lotion will give you the best results. Amanda goes above and beyond with her work ethic and bubbly friendly personality even when the ac went out and it was unbearable as a customer in the salon she kept up her positive professional attitude. Honestly just the worst tanning salon I've seen in a long time. The employees have you sign tanning releases and EFT forms without you even seeing them. They don't inform you ahead of time that you have to wait a full 24 hours before you can tan again not just once a day. Skylar complained that her boss gives her no breaks and how tired she was of being left alone with no help instead of informing me of important company rules while I was signing up. I've never been to a salon where you have to wait 24 hours so that was a surprise when I went in to tan the next day and was denied. I also have a young child so it's not easy to get in there in the first place so imagine my disappointment when I was told I couldn't tan and had to come back in 5 hours. Not only was Megan telling me I couldn't tan she had a rude attitude and was just rudely telling me the FDA policy. When asked for a refund on my account I was told I couldn't because they don't do refunds at all and that was it. And then when I asked her even if I had a disgusting bed, filthy room, poor service, told I could come at that time today by one employee and denied by another, if they would refand her answer was still 'no we don't do refunds' Wouldn't recommend this dirty place to anyone. Plus they have a start up fee of $20 on top of the prices and then don't tell you that until after your card is on file. Really frustrated with this place and limited on options in the area but it's worth it to spend the few extra bucks at Coco Beach down the street After responding to the company's response on my initial review I was under the impression they would actually have someone reach out to me so there can be a solution and I can get refunded but instead I've had to call the salon daily in hopes to reach her so I can get a refund. The Regional Manager Alex Townsend reached out to me via email to give me a $25 credit and ignored the fact that I want a refund and when I finally did get ahold of her she wasn't in front of a computer and had to call me back so I opted to call her back when I was off work and I should've know I wouldn't be able to reach her again. The whole lack of management and young employees who are either shady or don't know what they're doing is a bad combo and no one really seems to care or want to help. When I called the salon trying to reach a manager the original employee that helped Skylar, felt the need to verbally attack me via phone probably trying to defend herself and her wrong doing. All I want is my money back and to never have to go back to this salon but there's no one that's able to do that. Just an extremely awful salon with shady girls handling people's credit card information and I definitely wouldn't trust them with your personal information. read more

This is great little tanning salon. The Mystic is great, it's the newer dry technology booth and they offer all the bronze levels, scents, and boosts. The memberships are VERY reasonable - $59.95 for unlimited sunless...yes please! The best part is the gal who helped me out AJ. She was extremely friendly and knowledgable about the products they offer. With her suggestions regarding color level and boosts, my tan turned out perfect! Oh, and they have a good rewards program to boot. My only complaint is that they don't have sample lotions for sale. I never buy a bottle of anything until I test it out. read more

Love love love this salon! I've been to other salons in simi and this is by far the best one. It's always kept super clean and the girls that work there are always really helpful and sweet! They got a new bed the KBL which I'm in love with! I got color after one session and I tried the new spray for free and it was better than the airbrush I used to get! Not to mention in all of the beds they provide you with towels and eye protectors! The prices are very affordable and you will definitely get your money's worth by tanning here. I only recently got my membership but so far I am very impressed. I was referred to Palm Beach Tan by a client and after meeting Amanda, one of their consultants, I was all in. The facility is clean, easy location to get to and even their lowest quality beds far exceed other places I have been to! Their pricing and membership options can seem a bit confusing at first because there are so many but Amanda helped me pick the right one for me, concerning my skin and goals, and I am stoked to be able to come in unlimited for just $15 a month! Salon is very clean and nice. Girls are super friendly and helpful but I'm super disappointed with the hidden fees. The prices aren't what they say they are. There's always an extra fee. Super disappointed and I feel like I'm being scammed. I signed up for a monthly membership and I'm canceling immediately. I'm sure there will be a few for that too! This place use to be Smart Xposure, which I was a former manager at in 2012-2014. My first time going into the new salon was kind of weird for me. I didn't feel that welcomed either. I had told the girls that I use to manage the place, and even after me telling them that, they still tried to "show me around" (all the beds were the same as before except one) and tried selling to me like I didn't know anything about tanning. They just made me feel stupid. And to be honest, they didn't even know half the amount of information we did at Smart Xposure. They had one new bed in there and I asked them about the UVB vs. the UVA in it and they looked at me confused. They also tried convincing me that their mystic was better than any airbrush.. Funny cause everyone who has airbrushed and done the mystic knows that is not true. I actually thought about signing up because their prices are actually quite reasonable but I really wanted to try the new bed before making a decision. I asked if I could try out the bed and the girl told me it would be $40 for a tan. I laughed because I literally thought she was joking. I said you're really not gonna let me TRY the bed out and she said no we can't but there's packages blah blah. I looked at a free tan card on the desk and said so what's that? She told me it was for referrals only.. I worked there for 3 years, you don't think I referred enough people?! After a few minutes of me being in shock, she asked the manager and then they allowed me a whole whopping 5 minutes to try it out. Their new bed was cool, but what do you know, as soon as I got out they hounded me on what package I was gonna buy. I honestly just think they try to upsell the shit out of you way too hard. And yeah we might have done a little of that at Smart Xposure but nothing like they do. I just think that them knowing I use to run the place they should have treated me a little better than what they did. Every time I come in here, I have to wait to get in a bed because they have 1 person working at the front. Ive also come in several times and several girls up at the front standing around yet only one helps to check in. I came in tonight with my mom around 7:15pm on a Thursday. She likes my spray tan so she tried it with me 2 weeks ago and wanted to try again tonight. We walk in and there is a line and 1 person working the front. We waited for 10 min or so and my mom left. She was going to sign up for a monthly subscription but didnt want to wait, I dont blame her. They only have 1 spray tanning booth and when I got checked in, I had to wait. They should have at least 2 spray tan rooms and have 2 people checking people in. I moved to woodland hills from simi valley and will be cancelling my subscription this month because they do not have any in the valley. If they did, I would have stayed. read more

I have been coming here for several years. I have tanned for over 20 years and have even owned my own salon so I am super picky when it comes to tanning. I always get the best service from Palm Beach Tan and leave with incredible color as they do an amazing job of maintaining their beds. The salon is consistently clean and the staff is exceptionally friendly especially AJ. She is super knowledgeable and friendly and makes you feel comfortable from the second you walk in. Her personal approach is one of the several reasons I have a membership there along with the fact that they constantly have specials going on that make it a no brainier. I'm super disappointed that Smart Xposure is gone. I only ever came here for the airbrush tans but now they don't do them anymore it's all done by a bed. For someone that has super fair skinned standing in a bed is not favorable. I'm even more mad that I bought a package only for airbrush tans. I appreciate that they transferred everyone's accounts but I feel that customers should have gotten their money back especially now that the service I paid for is not available. read more

First time tanning here. Usually go to Tan LA in TO. I called in to see about a spray tan and was told if I was a new customer the first one would be free. Went in and they charge $22 for the color. A little disappointing as I would have come back and/or bought tans, as this is a really nice little perk. Friendly staff however lots of selling. Will continue with Tan LA as they are always upfront about fees and costs. read more
