Kudos to "D" from Palm Desert Air. We moved into our home about a year ago and had observed after we had moved in that our primary bedroom was not as cool as the remainder of the house. Since the hot months of the summer were winding down, we decided to wait and see how 2025 would be. As soon as June came around, we again observed warmer temps in the primary bedroom. When "D" came and performed our bi annual maintenance, we discussed the issue. "D" recommended some different vents and a thermo with a sensor. I am very impressed with this company. I had an air conditioning unit installed by Hydes over a yer ago; I asked them several times to comre out and look at the system. I told them that only one room was cooled after the new installation. The system was to cool three other rooms. They did not come out to inspect the installation even though I asked them two times. Spoke with Jean and Liz, who I thought at the time were trying to upset me bc a/c was blowing hot air, and it was always freon that was needed. I was just a nervous wreck, bc all i see are $$$ signs....Anyway, Adina comes, my building needed an additional person bc an extension on the ladder was needed, so they assured me it would happen today, even got a phone call from the office explaining everything. Lin showed up with Adina within half an hour, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's not the conden$er....Adina knows her stuff big time. Before she even got on the roof, she had an idea of what it was or wasn't. It was some capacitor thing (she explained it was like a battery, I had 2 of them). She capped them off so if for the next time, it would be easier. Ok, they know what they mean. This was my 1st time by accident with them. Big thank yous to: Jean Liz, Lin and Adina....they got back to me in reasonable time, when they said they would. Additionally, i was a nervous wreck bc if it was the condenser....AND they needed an extension ladder, which i thought they'd go do another job and come back. Nope! Back within an hour. We recently had a problem with what we thought was our heater. After they made several attemts to fix it they checked with the heaters manufacturer. After checking with them it was still not working. The wonderful technicians that were working on it figured out that our roofers didnt replace the vent properly and it was leeking carbon monoxide!!!! They fixed the vent at their expence!! I called this company randomly after calling a couple previously. Who were outrageously priced or just not very friendly. When I called Palm desert air conditioning a friendly voice on the phone reassured me someone would be there Asap. As it was for my Mom Who is elderly and had been without air since the night before and it was excessive heat warning in place. So in a couple hours Jerry got to my moms and was so kind, and considerate. did the job, took his time and explained everything to her. I needed two things: duct cleaning and duct inspection (because one room was not getting any conditioned air. The crew arrived promptly, donned booties and got to work. They cleaned the ducts _and_ removed the vent covers, cleaned them and replaced them. They found the damaged section of ducting and replace it. Courteous, efficient, knowledgeable and competent. My AC went out in Palm Desert with 118 degrees out and my handyman could not figure out what the issue was. Called Palm Desert Air Conditioning and Heating and spoke to Brandy. She was able to pull some strings and send one of their techs within an hour. Fast forward and Omar Nunez shows up. He quickly went on the roof and discovered that the motor blower in the unit was shot. On his own accord, he called his boss and discovered that it was still under warranty and special ordered the part. This saved me a ton of money as the motors on the newer energy-efficient models are around $1000. This proved to me that they are running an honest operation as he could have easily taken advantage of my dire situation. 2 days later he came by with the new motor and installed it and now my AC is cool as a refrigerator. I ended up paying only for the labor, which was totally reasonable. In closing, I am very satisfied with the service I received from Brandy and Omar at PD A/C and Heating and look forward in using them for years to come. read more

I had my A/C shut off in 108 heat in the middle of the day. My own service contract with Nex Gen doesn't seem to care. I have a service contract with them(a lot of good that does)but the soonest I could get was 4 days later. I've had nothing but disappointment since I got new A/C from them. I had Palm Desert Heating and Air Conditiioning replace gas furnace, Air Conditioning unit and elected at their recommendation to change to a wireless controled thermostat. Very Happy with products and functioning until changed internet prividers and lost the wi-fi to control Thermostat or remotely read conditions. When I called Palm Desert Heating and Air Conditioning to see if someone could walk me through signing onto the new wi-fi toengage the thermostat. I was told they can't do it over the phone, that it would be a required service call to send a tech out at a minimum of $90.00. Great Customer Service. Can you believe it? A few years back, we had a major compressor rattle coming from from our A/C unit on a holiday weekend, and Palm Desert Air Conditioning came to our rescue. Well, last night (Saturday) as we were going to bed we heard monstrously loud noises coming from our air conditioner in the home we purchased in La Quinta. First thing this (Sunday) morning we called the PDAC&H hotline, and Adina was here quickly to fix the problem, save our compressor, and keep us from sweltering and incurring major costs. Being on an annual service contract with PDAC&H, which includes an annual A/C and annual heater service, has been a life saver for us. Nightmare purchase from this company. We purchased two American Standard Combination AC / heating units in May 2020. Both units are bad. When the heaters start up, they shake the ceiling with a multiple series of BOOMing sounds. Palm Desert Air Conditioning and Heating has come out many times. Their manager acknowledges the problem but says they can't fix it. He also says this is a known issue with these new energy efficient units and has many complaints about them. These units are so loud you won't be able to sleep if you buy American Standard Silver Series heating units. read more

We are so happy that we found Palm Desert Air Conditioning & Heating. A couple of months ago, we had an air conditioner problem, and we asked a friend for a recommendation. PDADH came right out. I was so impressed with their professionalism, and the fact that they did not try to sell me a new compressor (ours was a top of the line, but 20 years old!), that I signed up for the annual contract. In about 6 weeks, there was another AC problem, this time on a WEEKEND. I called PDADH and they were there in about 15 minutes. I was fully expecting to have to pay weekend rates, but Omar did not charge me weekend rates, and further, he said he would waive the service call fee since they had just been out recently. We will definitely buy a new compressor from them in about a year or 2, and we're happy we will have an annual contract (they'll keep track of when to service our systems).
