I wish I didnt have to give any stars. We arrived before 7 we were sat in the bar with our 3 children. About 30 min later after orde. quarter to 8 the owner came up and said he couldn't tell us when food would be ready. We waited kids got restless we decided we were gonna leave, they came out and said food was ready. Ok, 5 min food came order was wrong just gonna eat it anyway. I told waitress it's fine there is no steak in steak sandwich. Power came up and very rudely said what wrong now. Then threw us out. Not even Gordon Ramsey could save this guy. Never ever had such an experience by an owner of any restaurant. If you can handle a large party and regular dinner service without accosting other dinner. Close up. It's bittersweet because we LOvE the food now that Ramones grill is there but the bar sucks! Jay the bartender is great but the bar fly women they have working there suck. I wanted a place that had a good steak, a place I could take the kids, seat 7 of us, and one that had a bar. We were celebrating my son's Chico graduation. 3 adults. 4 kids ranging from 10 yrs to 19 yrs. The Palomino Room delivered. The steak was cooked to perfection. The Texas burgers were devoured. The tri-tip was tasty and the brisket was bountiful and tender. Appetizers, the bomb. Everyone liked the green bean bundles too. Shots of Patron were enjoyed and the margaritas yummy. Best of all was the attention given by our server and bar tender. I felt very pampered and our party was well attended. I can't say enough about how much I appreciated the service. The place is unpretentious and comfortable. Don't expect tuxes and Dior gowns. Shorts and jeans rule. Go and have an enjoyable meal. After 9, the music and dancing starts. read more

I went here twice in one weekend. Once for dinner and the next time for the bar. They have fantastic Moscow mules and a friendly bartender. If you are eating in the restaurant, be careful about ordering the burnt ends. They are basically cubes of fat with sauce and there seems to be a 3:1 fat to meat ratio. Stopped by here on our way up to Oregon. We really wanted BBQ so we were excited to try it out. While waiting to be greeted we learned that it was vet owned and thought how great we get to support a small business that's vet owned especially after the rough year businesses have had. After waiting about 30 min to be seated we were told our server would be with us. About 20 min passed by and I finally asked who our server was and was told she didn't know but could find out. We waited some more and heard nothing. After seeing other guest that were sat after us start putting in orders I asked again and was told the manager would be right out. When the manager came out he was very rude almost as if we were being a bother asking for a server. I explained we had been waiting for a long time and no one has even taken out drink order he replied with "ok what do you want?" Idk how this person runs a restaurant but that's not how you speak to guest. After we told him our order I saw him by a POS register talking to another server and we felt like we were being talked about so we got up and left. This establishment has a lot of potential if the customer service was better and the management wasn't rude and walked around like everyone is a bother or inconvenience. We ended up going to a Mexican restaurant down the street instead. So if you're looking for a place to eat while passing by Red Bluff don't waste your time coming here. read more

If you aren't sure if you want to go to a dinner house, or a bar for some food, a beer and a sports game...don't worry. You can have either or both here. For a brief time, the service and food was not consistent but, the owner made some lasting changes for the better that have made huge fans out of me and my family. This is our go to place on a Friday night after work, where we can all get together, see a game on one of several TV's, order good food and most important to me, get good service. Jamison is a character and our favorite server/bartender. Always has a smile and always does his best to attend to his customers even if he is slammed. The food is decently priced and consistently good with good flavors. The drinks are good and the atmosphere is good as well. There's a pool table, a juke box, a bar with several large screen TV's and just about anything else you could want. I highly recommend giving them a chance to make a fan out of you. read more

I brought my mother to this establishment for dinner one night. My expectations were bar food. Boy was I wrong. I ordered a steak and veggies with a salad due to my diet. The steak was cooked perfectly and the veggies had so much flavor. Most people may see this establishment as only a bar. This place has definitely made a come back in a positive way. I just wanted to thank the security for being so awesome last night! Got through the long after rodeo entrance line without any mess and super fast! Specifically Dave was a huge help to my gf and I. I wasn't sure if there was re-entry so I went down to ask and he had said no at first so I went back in without complaining but later on he let me know he had only told me that bc of an unsafe situation with a guy standing outside, he didn't want me to walk out alone. Which is so awesome!!!! He also helped bandage up my friend when she had taken a fall. Like went wayyyy out of the way. He was super kind and I watched him take care of everything in a super professional manner (I've worked in a few night clubs before so it was refreshing.) girls can definitely feel safe here! Stopped in on our way back south. Friendly service, nice crowd. Gaming fishing and wildlife channels played on the 4 TVs. How nice it is to have a respite from the fear mongering of 2020! People didnt wear masks and those that arrived with masks took them off upon entrance. It is a blessing to find a place where you feel welcome to breath freely. The crowd seemed interested in chatting and getting to know you. Its been months since i last spoke to a stranger! So i am grateful for that. A very relaxing time. All socializing aside, the food was on point. We ordered two different burgers and they were both made fresh to order and the fries were golden brown. Ample parking in back and a clearly marked entrance, entering the PR is simple. Not sure what to expect, the room was part bar and part restaurant. I can see how it could go either way very easily. This night however, was definitely restaurant. I was greeted by a super cool guy and seated next to the open window looking onto Main Street. I was served a fantastic Top Shelf Margarita by the same gentlemen, Jay and greeted by Bre. I chose the NY Strip special with salad and mashed potatoes. The salad crisp and fresh and oh the steak! If you are here to eat, be prepared to wait. The Palomino room is one of those places where half empty is busy. You'd think they would be ready to serve people on "taco Tuesday." I mean, how long could it take to get out your tongs and put meat into corn tortillas? (The answer: at least half an hour.) I got two brisket tacos, they tasted great. I mean that was some damn good brisket but those were two of the whitest tacos I have ever eaten. You could find more authentic tacos in Canada. We had dinner On Friday Night with another couple. We started at the bar where our very friendly Bartender (Alisha) made us some great Moscow Mules! She went and reserved us a nice table in dining room, up front by the windows, Nice little alcove to ourselves. We had Two Prime Ribs, 1- Ribeye and 1- Sirloin. All meals were excellent! The meats were all fixed and cooked to our order. My wife finished her sirloin, but the rest had extra meat to take home. The salads all came at same time and they were fresh and well displayed. The steamed veggies were excellent and very fresh and Baked potatoes were hot to the middle. Our waitress (Kristina) was by all the time making sure we were taken care of. We even added a bottle of OZV wine From Lodi to have with our meals. We will be planning our Friday or Saturday night out, there every time. read more

Just ate at Eric's Texas BBQ at the Palomino Room and I left with a full belly and a big smile. Eric came out and talked to us about his move to Red Bluff and why he set up Eric's Texas BBQ. Great guy, down to Earth. Do owners ever come out and meet their customers anymore? Nice personal touch to have this happen. I started out with the Green Bean Bundles, green beans wrapped in bacon. I have no idea why other restaurants aren't doing this. They tricked me into eating green beans and I almost NEVER eat veggies. Everything is bigger in Texas, right? It is big here at Eric's. We ordered the Brady Bunch Meal which consisted of ribs, brisket, chicken, beans, hand cut fries, coleslaw, and jalapeno corn bread. Everything was cooked to perfection. I'm not a fan of chicken, but this chicken was great...nice pink smoke ring, not over cooked/smoked. The ribs fell off the bone. The brisket had some nice bark. Tonight was our 30 year anniversary. My folks wanted to bring us dinner from the restaurant of our choice. It's been over 20 years but I thought let's try the Palomino Room. When my folks came in our house with their hands full of food they both immediately started to tell us how incredibly pleasant the people were who worked there. We dug into the ribs, tamales, beans, coleslaw, mac n cheese, burnt ends and bread. Absolutely outstanding! Everything was exceptional. I want to thank you Palomino Room for making our anniversary dinner with my parents such a wonderful evening. The effort and care you put into your food does not go unnoticed. Great BBQ! They give you plenty of food for almost nothing. We ate for 22.70( not including tip though), we even had an appetizer plus the chips and pico de gallo. We had the ribs and sweet potato fries. Since they start smoking at 6am, our ribs fell off the bone! Yum yum, I hope they stick around for a long time :) read more

I have eaten at the Palomino Room four or five times since they opened up the Texas BBQ. It is delicious. I'm stuck on the Tex Mex Tacos. They are made with chicken or brisket. The beef brisket is my favorite. You won't go away hungry. The staff is friendly and do a good job making sure you are attended to during your meal. They serve lunch and dinner, but it is the same menu. If you are traveling though Red Bluff, make the Texas BBQ at the Palomino Room your meal stop. read more
