We tried this place for brunch and were pleasantly surprised. Everyone seems to complain about the prep and delivery time of their food, our food came out fast and efficiently. Our poor waitress was literally running, as this place is laid out poorly with beer taps and soda machine literally positioned on opposite sides of the place. Food was ok, service was no so good, no salt/pepper, had to ask for 3 different bottles of ketchup because they were almost empty :( Took 3 times asking for water to finally get it, 1 glass of wine is all we could get because they were out! The hand dipped chicken fried steak was paper thin, tough and frozen, the sausage gravy was watery and no sausage :( Took about 30 minutes to get our check, we had to go up to the bar because they were all messed up :( Then we get our check and the gratuity is automatically added, between all of us it was a huge amount (gratuity should and used to be based on friendliness, service, food quality etc.) when the checks were finally figured out, she says to us "well I hope you have a better night" we were having a great night, her incompetence was not our fault :( Sadly, we will not be back!! read more

The food (once it finally arrived at our table) was good. We arrive about 15 minutes before the dinner menu was available and was told we couldn't order off the dinner menu so ordered off the lunch menu and ordered a couple of cocktails. After waiting about 30 minutes and seeing folks around us who did order off the dinner menu get their food before us, we went to the bar and ordered a second round of drinks because our server never came back to our table to ask if we needed another round of drinks. We finally located our server and asked her where our food was. She apologized and after about another 20 minutes, we got our "lunch" order. Food and drinks were good but the service fell well short. Great place to eat. Our first time eating here. It's probably the cleanest restaurant I've been into in Northen California. Food was well presented and has amazing flavor. Food was good service sucked we had reservations for large group of 25 and it took them almost 1 1/2 hours to get us our food. Then some never got any orders were messed up never asked what type of sides we wanted. We just got what we got then beers ordered with dinner never came had to go to bar to get them. Only 1 waitress for entire inside dining she was horrible she was in over her head very poor planning on restaurant for help. This place has a great vibe! But I do NOT recommend it if you are in a hurry, and/ or hungry. Thr food is delicious tho and the prices are NOT over priced like alot of places these days. (I included a picture) but we had already been there an hour and had only been served our "WHORE -DERVES" An hour and a half is much to long to wait to eat when it's not busy so we ended up getting our food to go hence I had to basically toss my drink. They have a lovely out door seating area and also have live music from time to time and car shows. It'd worth checking out if u get the chance, just make sure you EAT BEFORE U GO. Despite having a reservation on Fathers Day for 5, we waited 90 minutes before getting frustrated. Waitress tried to keep the table happy, drinks etc. but when you put in an order for 5 people with drinks and apps, with entree and after 90 minutes In a restaurant that's not busy. There's a limit. Two tables seated after ours revived apps and food and ours still hadn't been made. Then we are told all management went home. No one was steering the sinking ship. So glad to have spent nearly two hours waiting for nothing but booze. I could understand if we were ordering beef wellington or a dish that takes an obscene amount of time to prepare, but burgers and ribs? If you want to stay in business this is not how you do it. Not only did you miss out on at least a $250 check, more importantly you lost customers with a voice, who up untill now we're recommending friends and colleagues to your establishment. read more

My husband and made our first trip to Dibble Creek since the great transformation a few years ago. From the outside, it's really renovated. Look for the Quonset Hut on the left ( going east) with the Sunoco Station. Big parking lot, outside seating open to the air. Place for music to be played. Inside, it has the looks of a Quonset Hut but also a garage feel. Plenty of space with low tables with some higher. A Bar towards the back completes the look of a good time to be had by all. My husband and I both ordered the Dibble Dipper for lunch. What a great choice it was ! A BIG Sandwich on a Sourdough Bun split in half. Lots of roast beef, pepper jack cheese and red onion.... Dipped in hot au jus, makes for a wonderful meal. I've been eating this type of variation of the " French Dip" for 60 years and let me tell you, this was one of the best !! This place isn't too far from our home so I'm guessing we will be visiting here way too often ! read more

The food is amazing but the service is terrible! It took five minutes for a soda refill (twice) as we watched the waitress let the cups sit on the soda bar while she hugged people and helped out in the store. She apologized for forgetting the refill again when I walked up to get to ask for a box and the check but at the point I just wanted to leave. The restaurant was not busy (and no, there was no one on the back patio). The woman behind the bar just stood talking to someone the entire time and at one point neither her or the waitress were in the dining hall. Food is dying in the window as the cooks ring the bell... The staff has always been terribly slow and lacking in basic knowledge of food service. Invest in your staff. read more

Dibble Creek Outpost is a great place to eat. We had lunch, but their dinner menu looked pretty scrumptious too, and we will definitely be back to try out their dinner fare. It's a little off the beaten path, about a 20-minute ride from the town of Red Bluff, but I went out there with my brother and a couple of friends for lunch on a Monday afternoon when several restaurants in town were closed. We were all glad we made the short trip to discover this wonderful place out on CA-36. The place was immaculately clean, the food portions were huge (we all took home a takeout box with about half our uneaten lunch), the food was delicious and very reasonably priced, and the staff was very nice. We especially enjoyed our very pleasant waitress. She provided us with some valuable tips and thoughtfully answered our questions. I had the Double Dipper, a delicious and well-stacked tri-tip sandwich, while two of my friends had the New Yorker, a thick steak sandwich, and my brother had the Classic Burger. Those meals come with your choice of fries, onion rings, or tater tots. We were all very pleased with our meals, but couldn't finish them. Oh, and the drinking glasses were enormous. We had sodas, iced-tea, and lemonade, and we couldn't finish those either, however, the waitress stopped by a few times to ask us if we wanted to top off our drinks, which we all declined because they were already very generously sized drinks. If you love super slow service, this is the place to go! If you love getting your dinner salad the same time as your meal, this is the place to go! If you love having to refill your own soda since the waitress' takes to long, this is the place to go! If you love a restaurant that brings out all the adult meals THEN tells you the child's pasta isnt available, this is the place to go! Food is usually average most of the time. I love this location and space. It suits many different parties and is ideal for flexibility. The food and drinks were great. The big issue is kitchen service. We ordered our food, 4 sandwiches. Those seated after us were served before us and took leftovers home before we were served. After 90 minutes, I was told my sandwich was sold out. 90 minutes, the place was not packed , it was just odd. My suggestion is, do some line training, invest in your employees. They are worth it. There is not many choice out where I stay. I always go to Yelp for help. This place has never popped up for me except for yesterday. We said let's give it a shot. Omg! We really enjoyed it! In the middle of nowhere! Didn't want starch so I hesitantly ordered seasonal veggies! It was zucchini and it was sautéed and seasoned to perfection! The coleslaw was good! The steak cooked perfectly! I wish I got our waitresses name, she was excellent! We will definitely return on a Friday and Saturday! They have Karaoke and a live band! How did I never see this?! Dibble Creek Outpost is incredible! Service is impeccable, food was delicious, drinks were perfect! The atmosphere is hometown, clean, and friendly. I wanted the loaded tots but with pulled pork and they made them special for me. My husband had the New York steak sandwich which has quickly become his favorite. I wanted to try the new popular blackberry crown but wasn't sure how to order it. The amazing bartender, Josh, made me a blackberry crown lemon drop that was to due for. He was amazing, fun, and always smiling. The wait staff has been so great each time we've been there, checking in and ensuring everything was exactly what we wanted. we have been to Dibble Creek 5 or 6 times each time the service was so slow,even when there is only a few people ther. last time I ordered take out for my wife and I, she had a salad and I had the meatloa, I had even or an extra slice. When I got back home my meatloaf was burnt on both sides it was so bad I had two bites and tossed the rest in the trash. We went in for a BD dinner for my daughter, we've been there before and had great food, so wasn't worried at all! I ordered the half rack of ribs, hadn't had ribs in a while, so wanted some. They smoke their ribs, so again, wasn't worried. Meals came out pretty fast, apps were great, drinks were yumm, waiter was awesome, ribs not so much. They were tough, and not done, and alot of fat on them. I cut the fat away, and tried cutting a section off to eat, no luck, too tough. Then after cutting off 4-5 pieces (slabs) of fat, I finally cut into some meat, and it was still pink and not cooked thru. These were pork ribs, so cannot be rare, or even med rare, very dangerous! I called the server over and told him I couldn't do it....I asked to see a manager, and she came over and agreed, apologized, and made it all right. Took the rins off the bill. I got the pulled pork instead, pieces of the pork ribs they put on the grill to heat up, so definitely cooked thru, and it was DELICIOUS!! That's why the 3 stars and not 1. I'll definitely go back, but won't order the rack of ribs again. Everyone else said their food was great! Hope they work on those ribs & get it right! FYI, if you have a larger party, they ADD a 20% gratuity to your bill, so I didn't leave a tip, it was already added in. read more
