1) The food is great and very well seasoned. 2) The packages are well priced for the amount of food you get. 3) The owners cook the food for you and they're so kind! 4) Accesible parking and comfortable seating. 5) Very clean and accommodating for large groups. We are so grateful for the experience and the quality of the food. My family and I really enjoyed it and we will be back.

Palsaik is not your average Korean BBQ restaurant. What makes it special is that Palsaik specializes in marinated pork belly, rather than your typical beef. The food itself at Palsaik probably rates only 4 stars, but its uniqueness rates 5 stars. Food: Palsaik offers 8 different types of marinated pork belly: curry, galbi, garlic, ginseng, herb, hot pepper, miso, and wine. The marinades are not overpowering, and all are interesting in their own way. Palsaik also offers a small selection of beef: brisket, ribeye, and short rib. The different types of pork belly and beef can be ordered individually, or as part of different combos. Finally, Palsaik offers some different soups like Yukgaejang (a spicy soup with shredded beef, which can also be ordered with noodles) and Sullungtang (a milk white soup made by simmering ox tails). THE COMBOS ARE THE WAY TO GO. Each combo also comes with a small side salad, ssam (with includes a spicy dipping sauce known as ssamjang, some onions, and some lettuce leaves ... which are used to wrap the cooked meat), kimchi, bean sprouts (mung bean sprouts), and kimchi stew with ramen noodles. The pork belly (or beef) is cooked on a large metal plate (rather than a grill like many other Korean BBQ restaurants), along with the kimchi and bean sprouts. The pork belly comes in long 12-inch strips which are then cut into small, bite-sized pieces. For those who are less familiar or new to Korean BBQ, the servers will put the meat, kimchi, and bean sprouts on the cooking plate, and also set up the kimchi stew for you. The servers will also come by periodically to turn the cooking meat over and then cut it into pieces when its ready to eat ... so no need to wonder about how to cook the meat. Service: The service is friendly, although it can be somewhat inconsistent at times ... Palsaik has a mom-and-pop feel to it. Usually there are one or two younger servers who speak English and Korean, and an older Korean woman (ajumma) who speaks Korean and somewhat broken English. Bottom Line: Palsaik is great ... especially if you like pork.

Soooo delicious! This is truly one of my all-time favorite restaurants in the South Bay. The ambiance is lively (they're usually playing K-pop when we're there), and it always feels energetic. What really sets Palsaik apart is their signature pork belly combo: eight different flavors of pork belly, each one unique and incredibly flavorful. The combo also comes with ramen and a spread of kimchi, garlic, and jalapeños to grill alongside the meat. It's such a satisfying, memorable meal every single time. For the amount of food you get and the quality, the value is unbeatable. You get amazing bang for your buck. Highly, highly recommend!

Korean BBQ on Hawthorne Blvd. Interior smaller than i thought. Great service and delicious food. Ordered combo for 3-4 people.

I had the Palsaik Combo at Palsaik Korean BBQ, and it was amazing! Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. I highly recommend this place and would love to visit again

We came on a rainy day and got the palsaik combo which comes with 8 marinated pork belly flavors and soup on the side. The combo was more than plenty of food for 3 of us and they cook the meat in front of you. Service was great and the food was hearty and comforting.

I recently dined at Palsaik (which translates to "8 Colors") during a trip to SoCal and really enjoyed the entire experience. I love that they grill the meat for you, and the food was excellent. I just wish we had a location in NorCal. My only minor feedback is that I wish the different marinades were a bit stronger so the flavors were more distinct as you eat. I remember the marinades being bolder when I visited a few years ago. That said, perhaps they've lightened them to highlight the natural flavor of the pork belly. Overall, I highly recommend Palsaik and would definitely revisit whenever I'm in SoCal.

It's been a while since our last visit. We arrived a bit early for dinner at 4:30. There were diners ahead of us, and more diners arrived soon after we sat down. Glad to know they have a steady stream of customers! We ordered seasoned pork belly as that is our habit. The food was tasty, as usual. Next time, we may try the unseasoned pork belly. I just noticed it on the menu. Enjoy!

Palsaik Samgyeopsal means "Eight colors of pork belly" in Korean. They serve you eight huge pieces of pork belly in different marinades and grill it for you tableside. I've had this restaurant in their original location in Koreatown, I ate it regularly when it was rebranded as "Eight" in Buena Park, and now that the Buena Park location is gone, I'm glad that I can have it here in Torrance at this location. This is a really fun way to have korean BBQ and I highly recommend it. I can't tell you that I love all of the variations of pork belly; however, the different flavors keep you on your toes. My favorite flavors of pork belly are ginseng, garlic, miso, and spicy. My least favorite flavors were their curry and herb flavors. Service is great. They do the cooking for you, and they refilled side dishes quickly. If you're not feeling pork belly or if you don't eat pork products, they also have a beef combo that's delicious. You should not hesitate to order the beef combo as the quality is great. But, make no mistake, the combos are the best way to get your bang for buck here. This is not an all you can eat place; however, their $70 "palsaik combo" is good for 2-3 people and comes with 8 large, thick, marinated pork belly slices, a huge kimchi stew/soup, a decent amount of side dishes (banchan). If you want to enjoy it the Korean way, enjoy your pork belly (samgyeopsal) as a lettuce wrap (ssam). To do this, take a leaf of lettuce and make a wrap with pork belly, sauce (ssamjang), and your choice of veggies (eg: garlic, kimchi, bean sprouts, onion, jalapeno, etc.). It's a five-star bite. I alternated eating my grilled pork belly pieces on their own, as a lettuce wrap (ssam), or with rice. I came on a Sunday afternoon and there was only one other party here. If you like this place, then come and support it! Real talk: Losing my favorite restaurants (like "Eight" in Buena Park and Koreatown) is why I decided to start writing on yelp again after a ten-year break. Come here for a fresh take on korean BBQ.

A friend sent me a TikTok video of this place, and I was pleasantly surprised--it actually lived up to the hype. Unfortunately my Instagram hype places usually end up being all smoke and mirrors. Honestly, I'd say maybe 3 out of 10 are actually good. This one was a solid win. What I really loved was that they cook the food for you. I could just sit back, have a conversation, and enjoy my meal without worrying about smoke in my hair. I was literally right in front of the grill, and somehow not a single whiff came my way. The ribeye meat was the star for me--my top pick. It was just seasoned with salt and pepper, but very flavorful. I could have eaten the whole plate myself... The pork belly and everything else we tried were also delicious. The soup deserves a special mention--it had just the right amount of spice and was packed with flavor. I could totally see myself having a big bowl on a cold, rainy night--it would hit the spot perfectly. We ended up taking a lot of it home for my friend's husband, but honestly, I can't wait to bring my family next time--they're going to love it.

I remember before this place became popular, I worked at their booth at this block party event on Hobart Blvd in Koreatown. I was vegetarian back then though haha so I never got to try it until years later. I'm not the biggest fan of pork but these cuts were juicy and well marinated. Their grill is at an incline so that the oil will seep down the grill and not get absorbed into your meat. The garlic herb is my favorite marinade. I remember they only had a few for their selection but now they have so many! It's nice. It's definitely a lot of food for two people though. I don't remember if me and my friend were able to finish it The flavors are unique and definitely makes it stands out as a Korean bbq place. I'm def gonna have to try the beef menu next time!

We were 5, but we had one child who didn't eat much so you might have to order extra meat later if you are all adults. We ate everything and felt it was enough for all 4 adults and one child.

I tried calling to make a reservation but no one picked up the phone. Is the phone number listed on Yelp correct?

It's correct 310-791-0300

We chose to sit near the TV area, and approval was needed before being seated. It took a few minutes before we were served water. We placed our order, but I didn't get a chance to take photos of my food--only of my date. This restaurant was definitely different from my usual Japanese dining experiences. We weren't provided with sauces, and we only received one napkin. Nothing was necessarily wrong with the restaurant, but we also didn't receive the typical complimentary sides such as cucumber salad, potato salad, kimchi, or the variety of sauces usually offered elsewhere. Overall, I would rate this experience a 3.6 out of 5.
