This place is newly opened. They seemed to still work on their system. The place was not yet decorated and the air-condition was not working. It was extremely hot and uncomfortable when we were eating. The food was served hot though. I got the beef pares and it had a lot of sauce/ soup and it was super hot. The meat and tendon were ample paired with a big cup of rice and it tasted sweet. I did like their barbecue. It was really good. You have the option to grill it yourself too.

The very thin layer of skin Lechon kawali

Food was flavorful and quick, probably to being slow, Service was excellent especially when one of the owners are here. The ambience was a laid back and chill place , still brand-new but maybe a flat screen TV will make it a lot better along with a liquor license. I have it a 4 start due to the Lechon kawali. Don't get me wrong, the Lechon kawali was at most perfect flavor but very very very thin layer of skin with hardly any crunch to it. To be better in that dish would be a thicker skin layer for the crunch. This establishment is from the owners that created a Isaw/Ihaw spot at their property on weekends. Hopefully they get the ok to do the Isaw Ihaw out on the side of their parking lot at this new establishment. Many thanks and will return when the self serve and bbq will be open

Expect a wait when you come here because there are a few people working and the food is made to order. I like to order online and drive over when my food is just about ready. This place is great for ready-made comfort food and party trays. I've order party trays from here many times and gotten great feedback. Some personal favorites are their pancit, pancit palabok with large noodles, classic lumpia, and bangsilog.

They offer different silogs, noodles, lumpia, bobas, and more. We got the pancit, pork lumpia, and halo halo. Food took a while to come out. But it was worth the wait. The pancit tasted just like the ones my aunties made. Loved that it came with a lemon wedge instead of a lemon juice packet. There was a good amount of meat where most places put way too many vegetables. The lumpia was crispy and filling was fresh. The halo-halo was spot on with all the best stuff in it. Service was a little chaotic. The staff were all in the back busy working so there wasn't anyone in the front if you needed anything. But someone did come out if you needed help. There was one auntie calling loudly for an uncle to come out from the back when someone needed help. Reminded me so much of home!

Tried this place after being recommended by a friend…read more It's not in a fancy area of town by any means but if you're looking for authentic and reasonably priced Filipino food like we had a craving for today, you've hit the jackpot! Plenty of parking in the front. The smell of delicious food welcomes you when you walk in. Your mouth will water when you see the 6+ options of ulam ready for you. Peak around and you'll see all of the desserts your heart desires if you're missing home. From Turon to leche flan and Sapin Sapin, our cravings for sure were satisfied! I ordered the 2 entree plate with rice which was less than $15 (insane and unheard of these days!). I got the kare kare and beef steak. Both were delicious and the portions were big enough for both my lunch and dinner! I also had their lumpia sariwa and almost grabbed 10 when I saw it was only $2.99! Definitely grabbing more of these next time! I didn't wander through the aisles in fear of finding even more things to fall in love with but from where I sat, I saw all of the fixings if you're making halo halo and the cooler had all the options of drinks you can imagine - guava juice, coconut, calamansi, they have it! The service was straight to the point and they were busy for lunch. Remember to be kind and remember this place is a small business! Support local!

Baboy Boys mobile kitchen aka food truck specializes in Filipino food center around pork. Well…read morebaboy is the Tagalog/ Filipino word for pig or pork (can be used interchangeably). I saw the food truck in downtown Sacramento around lunch time. First time and I never heard of them before. I eyed the menu. My first choice of lechon was sold out. I pondered my next move and ultimately ordered a baboy sisig plate. I have never had sisig before nevertheless the pork version. Pork sisig is a pork dish made of chopped pork ( ear, belly and fat At least that's what the menu stated) in a soy citrus glaze. The pork had a slight sweetness. The order was served with white rice and spring roll. It was $23, ouch. A bit pricey. A container of vinegar was included which I didn't know could been used to pour over the sisig to add another depth of flavor, sourness. Sweet n sour. The fried spring roll had a so satisfying audible crunch as I bit into it. Crunchy crisp exterior. Yummy inside. The food came out on a paper boat. No not the kind Stuart Little used. The kind of plate that's curved up and open, with no lid. The boat was loaded up. Nice. But I'm a bit clumsy and as I was walking with this, internally I was saying to myself, "don't drop it." Which I didn't, I made it safely to my final destination and gobbled up the food. FYI - They cater. Look up their mobile schedule on social media IG.

I've been known to buy multiple packs when I see this food truck, just because I know if I bring it home my family will devour it. On top of the incredible jerky, they also have so many delicious options. I usually go for the longpia and it's always packed with flavor. I also like that their sweet chili sauce has a bit of a kick to it. You can't go wrong with any of their dishes and it typically doesn't take too long for your food to be ready after ordering. They do give you a little buzzer so you don't have to hover, and the food is always hot and fresh. Whenever I'm at an event with Baboy Boys I'm stopping.

I've spent many dinners here since then and I have to say BA has been one of my go to spots ever since the doors opened. They began with a focus on their awesome hot pots and some appetizers and have expanded to have a wide array of food options. I love a good soup, but I have to admit their rice bowls have become my new fave. The pork belly with quail eggs and the popcorn chicken bowls are our go to entrees now. We stop by after every pickleball game we have and our group can't help but order what we consider the "necessary" BA bites. AKA most of the menu. Salt and pepper tofu (my fave), grilled mackerel (yum), shrimp skewers (a classic), cucumber salad, garlic mushrooms and more. Never went wrong with trying something new from the menu. This place has always been a vibe and I've celebrated many an occasion here. But it's also one of our fave can't decide on anything dinner spots. Boiling Avenue will always hold a special place in my heart. Cheers!
