The most unprofessional horrific service I've ever received. Not only did the server push his way between me and my husband but when I stepped away from the table he dripped grease all over my seat and my jacket. Thankfully my husband saw the seat before I sat down because I did not. When we asked to speak to a manager we were told he was in the bathroom. He never surfaced! The woman who tried to address the issue simply said "sorry". Well I'm sorry but that's completely unacceptable!!! Don't destroy someone's personal belongings and then continue to charge us full price even though we walked out with full plates of food on the table. I think we each ate maybe 2-3 bites of meat! Meh is right. For this place you can do an all you can eat or by the pound. The esthetics are beyond poor. It looks like a prison cafeteria inside. The walls are stained. The tables were wobbly, old brown tops. The legs on the table were filthy. It was hard to eat. The meat was limited and the quality highly questionable. Only a small selection was available but the biggest issue was the lack of technique in how it was cut. Sirloin was the only beef available. It had a major tendon running through the center of it and was brutally overcooked. The sausage was good but it was sausage. The pork was very good tasty but for the piece I got, over half of it was inedible and the server, hacked at this meat like a caveman when he served it to me. The servers really wanted to provide good service but it was clear they had virtually no experience or training. The head chef was overly attentive to the table next to us to the point where it was uncomfortable to watch. The salad bar was terrible. There were virtually no fresh ingredients. It's tough to find an all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse around Worcester, but this place is hit or miss. I agree with most others that in general the meats are too salty (which is shocking for me to say, because I love salt). The saltiness seems to make up for the lack of spice/flavor. With that said, their steak/beef tends to be pretty good. However, I would recommend getting meat by weight/pound, instead of all you can eat. The salad bar is decent. read more

I would give this 3.5 stars if I could, but it's definitely better than 3. Having eaten at a number of churrascarias around the world I was tempted to judge this against them, which would not have weighed favorably for this restaurant. Instead I'm rating this based on what they're able to do with the limited space they have. There's a salad bar/buffet station in the far corner, about 20 tables, and a meat station here. The salad bar/buffet has a pretty decent variety of vegetables, beans, rice, and salads. The meat station had about 10 different selections from which to choose. Combined almost certainly enough variety to satisfy whomever might walk through the door. Also on a positive note is the pay per pound vs all you can eat pricing. Having both these options means you can come and fit your meal to your budget while still enjoying their fine food. Unfortunately there are negatives here as well. We came in about 6:30, there was a decent amount of the restaurant filled, but it was not full either. There were 4 staff members; a hostess/waitress/cashier, a meat cook/slicer/server, a kitchen chef that seemed to help prepare both meat skewers and buffet selections, and a busser, who was also probably the dishwasher. This meant that it took a while for drinks, and also that there was very little in the way of tableside meat service (it occurred once during our hour there), a key component of the churrascaria experience in my opinion. We found this also made for an inconsistent meat quality, as I could get the bacon wrapped chicken and it was moist and flavorful, but when my companion shortly thereafter got the same thing, now it was overcooked and dry. In conclusion, this place is worth going to if you're in the area, maybe start with the pay as you go option if you've never been there, but I won't be driving 45 minutes just to dine here again. read more

I have now visited this place multiple times and have had consistently good experiences. We have had both take out and sat for a meal. There is a variety for both the adventurous person and the person who doesn't like to try new things. The meats were so delicious, especially the lamb. Restaurant is comfortable and open. The people working have always been friendly. Last time, our waitress recommended a juice, I don't remember what, but it was delicious. The price point for the all you can eat is a little on the high side but I usually get my food weighed and pay that way so if you can't eat a large amount of food, that's a better option. I've been coming here for years and always leave satisfied. They have the best cuts of meats- delicious beef ribs, spicy sausage, garlic sirloin, and more. Me and my SO came here a while back and were astonished at how salty everything was. We got the meal that included all u can eat meat but they literally dump salt on it before bringing it out so u can get full and not eat so much. I have heard recommendations as well as speculations of wanting to go from my friends for ages before I finally went last week. It was a Wednesday around 7pm and there were about 3 or 4 other tables there. The hostess was very friendly and explained our options of pay by the pound or all you can eat. And while I paid by the pound I ate all I possibly could have. The friend I went with is almost as indecisive as I am, so selecting the meats from the wall of spits was quite the process. But ultimately we ended up with steak, bacon wrapped chicken, and sausage as well as a variety of items from the salad bar (they also have an all you can eat salad bar with no meat option if you don't eat meat). The food was spectacular! And despite being incredibly full she and I managed to dig deep and also share a red velvet cheesecake which was phenomenal. read more

I've tried several Brazilian places (mostly in Los Angeles) and wasn't expecting much from this place but don't let the casual ambience fool you. The food was good. I didn't try everything from the salad bar but what I did try was flavorful and cooked well! The white rice had just the right amount of garlic and wasn't overpowering like most places. The meat was yummy (not just super salty like other places). I like the order options (by pound or all-you-can-eat). The staff nice as they were very attentive and friendly yet professional. I did not go in for awhile because the outside of the building was so dowdy. Also I found it a bit weird to park there. Anyhow i was curious and once again dropping off someone for the train at Worcester. All you can eat is $22, or food is $8 per pound. I usually eat 1.5 lbs at this type of place, so I opted for the "pay by the pound (you weigh your plate before sitting). I found the salad bar fresh and delicious, and the fried cassava warmer than the places in Framingham. The meat was very good and the salpicao was tasty. I hope to go back soon ! read more

Pampas Churrascaria - Brazilian Near Me - Worcester, Massachusetts

We came here for the first time with a large group (9 people, including 4 kids). The waitstaff were friendly and welcoming and we were seated at a spacious table. The ambiance is pretty basic, pretty much what you would expect from the pretty spare storefront, but there were some cozy touches, like linen tablecloths and napkins. The all you can eat option is $30 per person. The waiter was helpful in assisting everyone in the party select the best option, including the kids. For some of us, that meant the all you can eat, but for most of us, it meant pay by the pound. I ended up paying by the pound for a rather large plate for about $14. I only chose one meat (sirloin), which was very well seasoned and tender. I also had a variety of selections from the salad bar, but the standouts were the black beans. I have been making black beans my whole life and these were as good as mine. The cold selections on the salad bar were pretty basic, but all fresh and tasty. Another standout were the crispy and tender yucca fries. I ended up cleaning up a bit after a couple of the kids so got the chance to sample some chicken sausage, bacon wrapped chicken, and pork loin. The sirloin was definitely my favorite. When I go back, I will stick with that (even though the others were good.) All in all, I was very pleased with the service, quality, and taste of food. The value was there because of the quality. Delicious, economical Brazilian steakhouse. I've been to churracaraias in places from Phoenix, to Minneapolis, to Sao Paulo and Santos and Pampas stacks up pretty well. The salad bar is OK, but you didn't really come to a churracaraia for salad, did you? Let's be honest, alright? You came for the meat and Pampas delivers. But while, I'm on the topic, the plantains and yucca fries are awesome and should be consumed to excess after you finish your meat. The rest is fine, olives, cheese, beans and rice, salad, beets, all that. They usually have a braised chicken that I bypass in favor of the main course... ...And that is the meat! First and foremost, you want to have the picanha, the Brazilian rump steak delicacy that you see skewered in all the in-flight magazines. It is delicious. You want to have the rare slice because why would you get anything more cooked than that? Beyond that, the pork ribs and roast pork are awesome. Rich and succulent! I'm also a huge fan of the "spicy" pork linguca sausage. You have the option to get it by weight or all-you-can-eat. It all depends how hungry you are and if you can easily put down a couple pounds (like I can). Now for the bad: This was my go-to spot nearly every day when I take business trips to Worcester. I've visited dozens of times. However, the manager started underhandedly overcharging me. You see, when buying by the pound, there are 3 prices in increasing $/lb order. Salad bar, Salad bar w/meat, and just meat. I eat a lot, so I load up on meat & salad bar stuff (primarily plantains, yucca, and olives) and bring it back to my hotel so I can watch TV and eat. I filled up my container with meat and while I was adding to the salad bar, I saw the manager run over to tell something to the hostess checking me out. She rings me up and I notice that it is the all meat price. I call her on it and show her that there were salad bar items in there. She goes and talks with the manager who insists on charging the all-meat (highest) price. I begrudgingly paid, but in hindsight, should have sat down right there and turned it into the all-you-can-eat and consumed even more. I'm on a temporary short-term boycott because of the manager's stubborness. Honestly, I think it is hurting me more than it hurts Pampas because I've been craving that meat. All-in-all Pampas is great, just be careful about some sneakiness when you checkout. read more

Honestly, being Brazilian I will say the meat is good. Buuuut the salad bar is lacking. Starting to cater more towards American salad bar and that's lame. The mayonesa (potato salad) and sal picao (chicken and raisin salad) is weak but the arroz and feijao make up for it. The service is terriiiiiible, just hands down awful. Slow, non attentive and non personable. Not the way a Brazilian steakhouse should be ran. I go for the to go by the pound, still expensive but close by and convenient. Miranda bread accross the street has better service and you can get plates of whatever meal they are making that day. Pretty cheap too! This is one of those places that looks like a hole in the wall but you do NOT want to avoid. If you like meat this is the place. You pay by the pound or can pay one price for all you can eat. The chef cuts the meat for you as you order it fresh off the grill. They have a great salad bar that includes some nice Brazilian dishes. I really like Brazilian food. We were in Worcester for the day and ready to head home (4:45). I looked through my GPS's restaurant choices, I noticed this place, it was close, so opted to give it a try. We were greeted by a nice young lady who "explained" how things work there and then went off to select our "sides". I did notice that there was only one other family there. We then got our meats. I was disappointed they did not have allot of choices. I was looking forward to Chicken hearts (none), Lamb (none), Beef Ribs (none) OK maybe Pork Ribs (none). I took the Sirloin of Beef and the Roasted pork. My partner had Sirloin of beef and Bacon wrapped Chicken. We weighed our food (you pay by the pound) and sat down to eat. So here is the bottom line: Food - OK (the Sirloin of Beef was VERY good but the rest was dry) Drinks - Good (soda and bottled water ... how can you mess that up) Service - OK. It is basically self serve. Cleanliness - Very good Price - Very fair so would we go back... probably not... even if we were in the area. The 2 of us ate for about $16.00 so it was cheep... but I would say here "you get what you pay for". I would have given it 2 1/2 stars ... but no 1/2 points allowed here. read more

This place has excellent food. Very flavorful. Lori and I had the lunch buffet and ate our fair shares. The buffet is $16.99 a person for lunch and $22.99 for dinner, but there is quite a selection. When I arrived the waitress tried to explain the concept to me but I did not understand much (Brazilian to French communication is prone to misunderstandings). Good thing I ended up with the all you can eat option. The buffet was very good, lots of veggies. The meat was great too. I agree that the beef was the beef sirloin was the best, the chicken was awesome too. The combination of veggies plus no sauce meats make it a healthy option considering it's all you can eat. My boyfriend and I tried this restaurant last night. It was such a pleasant surprise having not lived in this area very long. Despite its modest appearance, the food and service were great. The rodizio was absolutely delicious. Our server was also our chef, and he couldn't have been nicer and more generous. My boyfriend and I went nuts over the brown-sugared pineapple and the perfectly cooked steak. The salad bar was the perfect accompaniment...the spicy peppers, rice and beans, vegetables, etc. And wait-- it's BYOB! We just couldn't understand why it wasn't as packed as we thought a quality place like this would be on a Friday night. But that's okay with us...if that just means more for us! This is literally the best service we have had in a restaurant, ever. We called ahead for Christmas Eve, and they had a table waiting for us with a linen tablecloth! Chrissy, the waitress, was amazing and took the extra time to explain all the differences between all-you-can-eat and by-the-pound. The buffet was plentiful (love the assortment of hot sauces,) but on to the meat. It was so flavorful, and cooked exactly to our specifications. We had rare steak, chicken wrapped in bacon, pork loin & prime rib. Divine! Will definitely be back! It's BYOB, so you can choose your wine accordingly. read more

I was here on a Friday night and it was quite busy. Even so, the service was wonderful. I was with about 8 people and we didn't realize it was BYOB, as it was our first time there. Thankfully there is a liquor store right across the street. The salad bar was kept fully stocked the entire time we were there with fresh items. The meats came around to our table consistently. Refills were prompt. It is not warmly decorated, the walls are pretty blank and it's kind of dark inside. But the food and service are well worth it. I'm a carnivore and I love brazillian barbecue. The price is cheap and the meats are amazing. Plus I really like the side buffet they got going on. It's a great selection of hor d'oevres style food. My husband and I went here a few weeks ago and it was my first time in a Brazilian restaurant. I have to say though, it was a delight! We got the buffet and it was really good. The rice was soft and fluffy, the beans were very tasty and they had this unbelievable chicken that was out of this world!!! Very tasty! Then we had these really well tasting steaks, some garlic infused pork kabobs, these wonderful tasting chicken and pork sausages! What a great experience!
