I understand that accidents can happen, but what was most upsetting was how poorly the situation was handled. After taking her to the vet , I reached out to the facility expecting concern, accountability, and a sincere apology. Instead, I was met with a dismissive response from the owners. I had asked them to cover the cost of the vet visit, which I believe should have been offered immediately given the circumstances. Even more disappointing, I never received an apology until I pointed out that no one had offered one and that I was extremely disappointed with how things were being handled. Only then did they offer a brief apology -- but by that point, it felt insincere and forced. There was no follow-up to check on Chanel's condition, no ownership of the incident, and no effort to make the situation right beyond the bare minimum. After 3 vet visits, Chanel is thankfully healing, but this experience left me feeling upset and disregarded as a client. I'm sharing this so other pet parents can make informed decisions. Our pets deserve to be treated with genuine care, and we as clients deserve to be treated with respect and compassion -- especially when something goes wrong. I thought I was a valued and appreciated Customer. This experience completely showed me I was not.

He always confirms her feeding instructions when I'm dropping off and let's me know how how her stay was when picking up. My dog is always happy, healthy and in good spirits when I pick her up! Would rate this place -10000…read more We have a 245 pound Great pyrenees, he does not like being clean so we reach out to Bob and he assured us he specializes in big dogs. He was 45 minutes late. We told him our Silas (that's his name) is a lot stubborn. Bob told us his 20 years of working with dogs and he will be fine. Bob put the leash on Silas and he did not want to go out the front door. Bob literally dragged him out the door. Then Bob dragged him across the front lawn and before I had a chance to tell Bob to stop Silas was already in the camper Bob used for his service. Silas was in the mobile camper for about 90 minutes. Then on the front house camera I see Silas pulling Bob up the lawn so he can get away from this guy. Meet Bob at the front door and our Silas was bleeding on his left dew claw, Bob began to lie to us saying the dew claw was wrapped into his pad. This is not true because our neighbor cuts all our boy's nails. At this time my wife is crying her eyes out, she called our neighbor as he has always helped us in the past. Buy this time I'm ready to just grab Bob an toss him out. Silas was heavy panting and any dog owners would know he was under a great deal of stress. I gave Bob his $200.00 as this is what we agreed on and asked him nicely to just leave. My Silas has not been the same, this all happened on 5/15/2023. I just try and let Silas know this will never happen to him again. We have text Stephanie for our receipt as Bob never gave us one. She has not responded. Now today I noticed Silas left eye top area all blood shot. All this tells me is Bob doesn't know how to handle animals. Painting a picture for you all, Bob came not dressed for the job he wants, the white camper looked all beaten up on the outside with no advertising on the sides. I will say people do your homework when dealing with something like this. Rest assured I will be telling everyone who will listen about this horrible experience. I will be putting a complaint to the better business bureau and to see if he is licensed in the State of Delaware. I would not let this guy and his company clean a stuff animal. My poor baby's top area of his tail you can see we're this assclown cut him. This guy is an animal abuser in my eyes.

Oh my Gosh--THE owner of "PUPS & PURRS" should be on national TV to showcase her skills. After…read morebeing disappointed with four groomers and giving them second chances with little change, I kept searching, reading reviews, and checking social media without success. However, one day, I passed a yard sign for PUPS & PURRS, pulled over, and spoke to the owner, Wendy, who invited me to bring my pups without an appointment and answered my questions. I was instantly impressed; she wasn't trying to sell herself, and I thought, 'This may be the one.' My intuition was correct after making an appointment. I stayed in a designated prep room for pet parents, with divided sections; each had see-through windows where they were groomed. The second room was for puppies to play while waiting to be groomed, and another gated area for pets needing solitude before or after grooming. Wendy, the groomer, charged less than previous groomers at a teaching vet hospital and others working at well-known pet stores in DE. Not sayin' nothin' but the name of the franchise rhymes with "Messed Ends" Rather than go into all the problems with them, I'd like to list just a few of the ways in which Bark Avenue distinguishes themselves from the aforementioned chain. 1. Bark Avenue retains customers and staff 2. They recognized Ike (after a 3 year absence) and welcomed him back with great warmth and enthusiasm. 3. Their hours are much more convenient 4. When Ike is bathed or gets his nails trimmed, the work is noticeable. 4. Best of all the owner and staff seem to genuinely enjoy the dogs! Bark Avenue is not fancy at all. But we trust them implicitly to care for our "best friend."
