Fried shrimp tempura: juicy inside and not too oily! It tasted really good with the spicy red sauce and sweet and sour sauce that they have available in the restaurant. Chicken teriyaki: the chicken was cooked perfectly, not over cooked or dry! Its teriyaki sauce paired really well with rice. Hot and spicy tofu: my favorite dish of the three entrees!! It's fast-casual nature comes with a minimalistic interior and menu, very much an "enjoy-and-go" vibe. Food: 5/5 - As with many Asian restaurants, the food is the belle of the ball. Drinks: 5/5 - Rather surprisingly, Pan Asian Express features a deep menu for drinks, including juice, fountain soda, canned drinks, coffee, and tea. Service: 4/5 - During peak Outlet dining hours, it can get quite busy and orders may have longer wait times (10-15 minutes). However, the restaurant is clean and was able to field all my requests (extra hot and teriyaki sauce, additional plates and bowls, etc.). There really aren't any further expectations of service above that. Recommended: Quite honestly, any Teriyaki or Yakisoba dish. I've tried the Hot & Spicy Chicken and Tofu, Chicken Yakisoba, and Teriyaki Beef on various occasions. Generous portions absolutely packed with flavor left me full and satisfied. The meat was also well-cooked and tender. Interestingly, the restaurant also serves hot dogs and fries. A particular shoutout to the Garlic Lover Hot Dog, which comes with grilled chunks of fresh garlic, and a delight to anyone looking for a savory treat. Overall, this place is my go-to during my visits to Woodburn and I've yet to be disappointed. Don't forget to try the house-made hot sauce! Nothing special but a surprisingly good option for the outlet mall. They make each order as it comes in and my chicken yakisoba was quite good. It was hot and the chicken was quality meat grilled perfectly. You could do a lot worse while walking around and shopping. read more

The customer service was great, the food was delicious, and the portions generous. However, the prices are ridiculous! First off, why does it cost $10 to get some noodles for one? Second, I was shocked by how overpriced the drinks are, all I got was a water and it was still four dollars. I've been wanting to give this spot a try, and I have to say, this was thoroughly disappointing. I don't know if I'll go back or not. Okay, I am giving this place 2 stars liberally. 1 star because the establishment was very clean and 1 star because they served the ramen in a very cool authentic looking metal ramen bowl but that is about all I can say about this place. Panda Express would have been a better choice for quick Asian style food. There was NO taste in the food, it was bland and my chicken was very dry. WHY IS THIS PLACE STILL OPEN?! Went to Woodburn outlet on Labor Day and decided to eat here with my friend. I got a ramen because they said their Fryer was broken, and most of their menu has fried foods in it so I was pretty much limited in options... at this point I wanted to go to a different restaurant but my friend wanted to try it out. Anyways I ordered a ramen. When I got it first thing I noticed was the noodles. I recognized those noodles anywhere they looked like INSTANT RAMEN NOODLES. The noodles weren't even cooked all the way they were barely separated. I knew that moment it was instant ramen so I gave it a taste and it confirmed my thoughts. These people really thought I wouldn't notice just because they put vegetables and an egg in there I asked to get chicken Teriyaki instead because I know for a fact it came from instant ramen packet and he took it and exchanged it for a new plate with no questions asked (Probably cuz he knows I'm right). It's pretty slim pickins in the food category when you're down in Woodburn on a marathon bargain shopping trip. We'd wanted to go to the famed Luis' but the clock was ticking and we'd planned a massive Korean feast to cook up at home. Gorging twice in a day wasn't going to happen. The choices at the outlets are Subway, a Baja Fresh ripoff, Auntie Anne's pretzels and Pan Asian Express (now featuring hot dogs!). Maybe I was under the effects of scoring insane deals on jeans but I picked a hot dog. I ordered a Chicago dog. It was nearly a foot long, but bland, room temp and generally uninspired. The tomatoes were pink and somehow even the relish was boring. I doused it with as much mustard as possible but in the end, the bun, which tasted microwaved, not steamed (yet it also had weird hard chunks) made me give up. I passed it off to the SSBB and even he couldn't muscle it down. Next time I'll spend my $8.95 on chocolate covered gummy worms from Harry & David's. read more

I was here with my family who was visiting from Hong Kong (HK). Here is the review from them. They said the food was decent, but not great. The kids like it, the fried rice was oily than normal. I understand that you need oil to keep it from sticking to the wok but rice should not be shiny. Also they have one TV in there. It was showing a music video, but it was Christian music. The video showed people singing along waving their arms and crying, just not a the right place to be showing that kind of stuff in my opinion. It can be a turn off. Has an american menu (fries, hot dog ect) and a fake asian menu ( teriyaki +udon) The teriyaki here is rubbery, worse than most places. The udon is plain, like no flavor. Was visiting the Woodburn Outlet Mall this past Sunday afternoon. I got the Chicken Fried Rice. It was a good dish since I was hungry. It got very crowded as people started to roll into it around 1 o'clock. There is lots of variet to choose from ... include hot dogs and Ramen noodles. I found it to be somewhat clean ... This restaurant is located inside of the Woodburn Outlet Mall. I can't say that it is good or bad. It is just average. You order your food at the counter, and they give you a number to place on your table. The funny thing is that when your food is ready, they call you to the counter to pick up your food. What is the purpose of giving you a number to place on your table??? My fiance ordered the Hot and Spicy Toufu. She would score it 5 points out of a possible 10 points for taste. I ordered the Chicken Teriaki Plate. I was surprised the it tasted better than I thought and the portions were decent. I'd score my Chicken Teriaki Plate a 6.5 out of 10 possible points. As I said in another review about the Woodburn Outlets, there are not a whole lot of restaurants to choose from. If you are really hungry, this place is better than nothing. I went to this restaurant only to be met with HORRIBLE customer service by one of the servers (an older male) who had a HORRIBLE attitude and was yelling at me in front of the customers. He yelled at me, told me to shut up and was yelling at me making threatening comments to me in front of the customers. I was extremely shocked by this. There was a mediocre amount of chicken, but it had only one tiny piece of broccoli and a couple bites of cooked cabbage. Mmmm mmmm!! Best americanized chinese fast food I've had! I had the Spicy Tofu dish which was delicious!! The tofu was done perfectly. There were plenty of large chunks of veggies and the sauce was delicious. Other sauces such as sweet & sour and teriyaki were available condiments. The Chicken Teriyaki w/ Egg Rolls my bf had was great. The dish had nice big pieces of tender grilled chicken. The rice in our dishes were well done. I bit into the egg rolls and they were still frozen, so my husband went and told them. He said they were remaking my egg rolls. The waitress brought me back my egg rolls... LITERALLY! My already bitten into egg roll was thrown back into the fryer!!!! Not to mention that they were brought back almost black and burnt! My tofu was still cold and uncooked. The mall manager went with me to get a full refund and I told them I was reporting the restaurant. This is perhaps the strangest place to eat ever. It's called Pan Asian Express, but they also have random American type dishes. I got a hot dog of some sort with sauerkraut... The picture on the menu showed that it came with fries. My meal came out with chips instead! I must say this was the most disappointing meal I had on my mini vacay. Meh... Some of the people I was with had the ramen dish, which looked like they took two bags of instant noodles and put it in a bowl.
