I was driving by last month and decided to add it to my list of places to try. I was in the area again and so glad I stopped by! The owner and his niece are very nice, friendly, attentive and more than happy to answer any questions and make suggestions. They take pride on their goods and they sure deliver! They have various types of Venezuelan bread, tequeños, empanadas, cake slices, flan slices, coffee, sodas, cheese and some common bread types like French and sandwich bread. I had never had tequeños before and they sure were delish! I got the regular one with a nice garlic sauce to dip in and a sweet one that had guava in it, both were delicious! I got 2 piñita breads, since I like the hint of sweetness, softness that you experience as you eat it. It is dusted with some sugar and top and delish! It sure was a good find and I will definitely be back to try some more!

these pastries are an amazing deal for $1.50 to $2.50 each. They are huge and make a great snack. They also keep very good in the refrigerator. I have not enjoyed guava in the past but this guava and cheese in the sweetened bread dough was amazing. Actually all three flavors were amazing. Definitely try this place out if you're in the area.

We went for breakfast. ordered steak sandwiches, egg and bacon sandwiches, fried breakfast potatoes, french fries. The bread was out of this world! Light and fluffy, yummy, yum, yum! The steak wasn't like an american philly. It was tiny strips of actual steak. Kinda tough to chew but the taste was good. The egg, cheese and bacon was great. Definitely home cooking. The picture doesn't show the bacon because I pulled it out of the sandwich, sorry! I couldn't wait, it was too good. The breakfast potatoes were simply the best! I stole my husband's potatoes. The french fries were so-so. I want to go there every single day!

Their oatmeal (avena), cream of wheat (farina) and corn meal (harina de maíz) are delish!! It's like a warm hug on a morning. Their pork sandwich and tripleta (triple meat sandwich) are always packed, delicious and can't be beat for the price. Talking about price I do feel like their prices are amazing. I paid about $26 for three sandwiches, a coffee and two oatmeal's. I thought that was a great price. Staff is always friendly and helpful. You can call and order ahead but they will ask for card info for payment. I have ordered catering from them before and our clients always rave about their empanadas. They have a hot food bar you can walk up for lunch or dinner. They also have so many desserts that even though they look amazing, I have not yet tried. I will come back to update yall! Ask for extra "mayokechup" on the sidefor the sandwiches and thank me later

Either way, visiting this location really is the hack that you think it is. Since it is in the East End Market, you can simply waltz in with little to no line and order your delicious Gideon's treats. It is important to note that unfortunately they don't offer the cold brew here, however, as they don't have the facilities to make it like they do at Disney Springs. But, the cookies are just as delicious and they do always sell their limited edition cookies here in addition to their classics. It is also worth shopping around the market as well since there are many indulgences here ranging from sushi to cocktails to fun trinkets. It is best to visit at an off time though as parking can be a challenge.

I didn't realize that before ordering, so that definitely explains part of why this wasn't for me. Red velvet is usually my birthday cake, so I've tried it from quite a few places over the years. I personally prefer a softer, fluffy cake with a noticeable cocoa flavor and a tangy cream cheese frosting. Gideon's version was very different from that. The color was much more intensely red than I personally like, and I felt like I could taste the coloring. The texture of my slice also felt more wet/dense than moist and fluffy. There was plenty of frosting, but the cream cheese flavor was much more subtle than I prefer. I know this cake has a lot of fans, so I think this really comes down to style and personal preference. If you prefer a more traditional cocoa-forward red velvet with tangy cream cheese frosting, just know that this one is quite different. I ordered the Korea iced coffee, and it was excellent -- smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. It felt thoughtfully made and easy to enjoy all the way through, especially refreshing on a warm day. The atmosphere is one of the strongest parts of this place. The space is clean, modern, and well-designed, with a minimalist aesthetic that makes it feel comfortable without being sterile. It's quiet enough to relax but still welcoming. The menu is also nicely put together, offering a solid selection of drinks along with snacks and desserts. It's the kind of place you could visit multiple times and still have new things to try depending on your mood. Service was friendly and attentive -- Victoria in particular stood out and made the visit even better. Overall, Frosty Fox is a great addition to Baldwin Park and an easy recommendation if you're looking for quality drinks in a relaxed, thoughtfully designed space.
