I called in the order and the food was ready in 35 minutes. Pretty tasty : Chicken Satay $8 The best: Pa'nang curry chicken $9 Okay: Pad Se Lew with Beef $9 Sweet Chili Garlic Shrimp $10 didn't like this too much- pink gooey sauce with fried shrimp. We tried the fried potstickers, they were light and crispy, came with two sauces, dark and spicy, and a mildy spiced orangy sauce, and not in tiny plastic packets either, these were homemade sauces in dipping dishes. Delish. I had the Singapore noodles with tofu, comes tossed in a slightly sweet yellow curry-type sace with the tofu lighlty fried. Very tasty. Hubby had the green curry, realllly nice, with sticky rice. Five stars to this place because they realize that details matter, such as homemade dipping sauces, the cool vibey interior of the (smallish) space creating a light, airy, serene atmosphere to help you enjoy and digest your food. I've ordered takeout here three times so far and every time has been over the top pleasant. They are so friendly, and seem to genuinely care about the customers. My family loves this place. We've been ordering food from them for about 3 years now. Coming from living near Thai town, this is the only place that competes with that. I finally went in yesterday and picked up the food myself instead of having it delivered, I was so impressed with the warmth and customer service from the gentleman at the cash register. He was super attentive and offered me condiments, napkins, utensils. I didn't need or want most of them, but I'm always that person that doesn't check the bag and then gets home and realizes they need a whole bunch of stuff. This review is more than long over due. We have been ordering here for over 7 years and the food is always incredible. We have never dined in but we always utilize their delivery and pick up service. The food is SO authentic and tasty and we always taste the love in this homemade family cooking. They treat us like family and know our go to orders like the back of their hand. This small restaurant has some of the best Thai curry I've ever had. I had the yellow curry extra spicy, and the flavors and textures epitomized what I want when I am craving Thai food. The staff was very warm and inviting, and their pride in their craft was self evident. The dining area is small with a subtlety executed industrial aesthetic. I was a bit worried because of the price points but omg was I satisfied! They need to charge more lol. Don't let the storefront deceive you, they make up for it in the flavor department. It's not your fancy Thai restaurant quality but gives off more of a mom and pop taste which I absolutely do not have a problem with. I ordered the beef pad see ew and chicken wontons. It was delivered to me still hot and fresh! The serving size was so generous. The noodles were enough for 2-4 people so I'll definitely be looking forward to the leftovers. As for the wontons, I was a bit surprised because I thought they would be the cream cheese wontons. I guess I didn't read the description lol. They were crispy, tasty and savory! Came by on a Friday night to dine-in. The place itself is not that extravagant and could use some work. It is obvious that they do a lot more delivery and take-out orders. You can tell that this is a family owned business and the guy that helped us was the son of the owners. He was really friendly and made sure the food we ordered was correct. The great thing about this place is that everything is made fresh, so it is very easy to modify. With a vegan and a vegetarian, that is something that is very important. We ordered the hot and sour soup (modified vegan), crispy orange tofu, drunken noodles spicy level 3, pineapple fried rice and Mongolian beef. We also tried their Thai iced tea and lemon iced tea which were both really good! I did not care too much for the hot and sour soup - it was lacking a bit of flavor. The crispy orange tofu was amazing and something I would highly recommend! The drunken noodles were good as well, but it was a little too spicy for me to enjoy that much. Pineapple fried rice was great too, and my sister and aunt seemed to like the beef. For all that food we payed about $42 which is fantastic. Delicious food and great service! An unpretentious, downhome, Thai eatery manned by two nice guys.who may not be the most professional in terms of time management & culinary efficiency, but try to do their best in getting out the food and helping out customers. I came by Pan Tang to take out from their menu since it was my first time, and didn't have their take out menu to be able to reference an order via phone. (There is no Pan Tang website.) I prepaid at about 7:05pm and let them know I had errands to run and would be back by 7:45pm and the waiter confirmed the time. At the time of the order, there was only one table that had customers. I came back at the appointed time and still had to wait about 10 minutes with only another group of people at one table. So as a warning, letting you know ahead that there will probably be a time lag. The prices at Pan Tang are certainly a deal. I ordered the 2 Angel Wings for $5.95 and the Pad Thai for another $5.95. The Pad Thai in amount & quality was comparable to other Thai restaurants, However, as good as the Stuffed Angel Wings were in appearance, the inside stuffing of minced pork, rice vermicelli, etc. was very watery & loose which detracted from the fried chicken wings which came out meaty, solid & hearty. The watery, mushy pork filling seemed almost undercooked which is discomforting considering that pork may contain parasites no matter how unlikely for pork raised in the USA. There are better Thai restaurants closer to Hollywood, but that is a long way from Tujunga. For a convenient, very reasonable outpost for Thai, Pan Tang is a good deal. read more

Ordered pickup after finding this spot on Yelp! I got Tom Yum Kai soup, Thai BBQ chicken, and Som Tam salad. I arrived a little early and my food was already ready. It's a small place, family run. The son who took my order on the phone and then who I picked up from was nice and respectful. So the food. A ton of food for the price. The tom yum kai was excellent. The flavor was perfect, plenty of chicken, onions, and mushrooms too. I got it medium spicy and it was a true medium with plenty of spice. The som tam salad was okay. Basically a green papaya salad, but with cabbage instead of papaya. The dressing was delicious, but the tomatoes were a little mushy and it's better with green papaya. The Thai BBQ chicken was good. Cooked well and flavorful with a light BBQ sauce on the side. Definitely will be back. Good food for a good price, and super nice people. read more

The food here is fantastic. We were visiting from the SF Bay Area on a business trip and wanted to order Thai. Everything was closed but this place, so we figured we'd try it. We are pretty picky - my husband lives in Thailand and we have a specific taste we prefer. Here's what we got delivered: 1. Pad Thai with Shrimp. We asked for it spicy, and it was the perfect amount of heat. The flavor of the noodles was perfection, and it came with a large side of bean sprouts and peanuts. Not too fishy, not too much tamarind - just right. 2. Prom Spareribs. This came Chinese style pink pork with a tangy bbq sauce. It was a nice flavor! 3. BBQ chicken - husband loved this. Food is terrible. Pad Thai had zero taste, fried rice only tasted like cumin. The front area where you pick up the food is absolutely filthy. Everything is covered in what looks like MONTHS worth of dust and dirt...the walls, the plastic divider, the phone, iPad, and other tech, all covered in visible grime and grit. Three bites in and I'm done. Never returning, truthfully the worst Thai food I've ever had, and I've had a lot of it, all over the US. I hate to say this, but we only come here when we're sorta desperate. They have a lot of veggie dishes, but the service is bizarre. They're not always open when they say they're gonna be open. When they are open, you can walk in and it can take 15 minutes before they come to your table to greet you and ask for drinks. It can take another 15 minutes easy for them to come and take your order. 20 minutes later you may get your food. That's almost an hour. The food that comes isn't that good to wait that long. The people are nice but they really need to improve their service ethic and realize not everyone wants to hang out in a small restaurant in Tujunga all night. read more
