This is by far one of my children's favorite place to eat. Anytime we are even close to the area, they expect us to stop at Tigawok. I don't mind, because they happily gobble up the broccoli that they have here. It really is so good. I have noticed that some of the cute things that they had when they first opened are not there anymore. For example, there are no more men, no more lossing stick, and they use paper bags instead of the cute branded bags. But that's totally understandable, I can imagine offering things like that could be expensive. I was surprised it happened in the first place. read more

I've been to TigaWok a few times, and what made me fall in love with it was the original concept. You could choose several small dishes served in cute little containers, which made it easy to try different flavors at a very affordable price. My favorite was always the tomato and egg dish, so I came back craving it, only to find out it's no longer on the menu. It looks like TigaWok has shifted to a build-your-own bowl concept. You start by choosing a base (jasmine rice, chow mein, half or all greens, purple rice, or egg fried rice), then a protein, a veggie, and a side. They also offer complimentary sauces, and I really enjoyed the ginger scallion sauce. It added great flavor to my bowl. My only issue was that the menu wasn't very clear about what qualifies as a "veggie" versus a "side." I chose roasted pumpkin (squash) as my vegetable and spicy cucumber as my side, but I was still charged extra, which was confusing. I wish the menu explained the categories better or simply combined the vegetable and side into one selection since they're all vegetable-based dishes. It would make the ordering process much more customer-friendly and avoid surprises at checkout. I also ordered the braised pork belly, which used to be one of my favorites. Before, it came in tender, bite-sized pieces. This time, the pork was cut into larger chunks with a lot of fat, and unfortunately, the meat was dry. I understand that businesses evolve, and the staff explained that the new concept caters to their customer demographics. I appreciate that they're offering more vegan-friendly options while still keeping pork, beef, chicken, and shrimp on the menu. However, I miss the old concept that made TigaWok stand out. I hope they'll consider bringing back some of the original favorites and making the ordering process a little clearer. I visited this location around 12:10pm on a Saturday. There was no wait, and I felt very comfortable as I read the menu and took the time to understand the difference between a base and a mini bowl (aka I was not rushed). The employee was very patient and helpful. We ended up ordering the Garlic eggplant and green beans ($4), chow mein mini bowl ($4), orange chicken mini bowl ($5), and a fountain beverage. I really like the option of a mini bowl. Sometimes, I don't have the appetite to eat a full meal, and I don't want to waste food either. Other times, I just want to try new food. Regardless, I really appreciated the option of a mini bowl. The most enjoyable thing I had was the green beans in the eggplant dish. They were perfectly crunchy. All other items were okay to me. It was edible, just not something I would necessarily go back for. It is very nice. It's similar to panda express but so much better. I really love the red braised pork belly, that was very tender, fatty and delicious. The peppered chicken was very tasty as well. They have different varieties of dishes to choose from that are really delicious and fresh and fresh. They also offer pickled radish, and chili sauce. The best part was the utensils and containers they provided. It's really cool and high-quality covers and lids. Everything was available at a self-service counter.. If you had leftovers, you could easily pack them up yourself without having to go to the front again to ask for a to-go box. Such a convenient and a unique idea. I was in the area and walked in as I thought that everything was made to order but it's not. It's basically a food to go place. I came at lunch time and it was pretty empty inside. Service was friendly. The store is large and clean inside, but the food in the case did not look appetizing, it looked like it was sitting for a long time. Since I was there, I got the orange chicken and the tomato egg, and a bit of the hot sauce condiment. The hot sauce was delicious. The orange chicken was not, it was 90% batter and had a burnt taste. Super quick service when we went mid day on a week day. I've never been so I just copied what my friends got --pork and fried egg plant with great beans. It was good and filling and lasted me two lunches. Very similar to Panda Express imo but a little more expensive. A great option if you want a big bowl. read more

It was nice for a quick simple meal. The fried rice has pork in it though, FYI for people who don't eat pork. The options are white rice, pork fried rice, or noodles for the bottom and a variety of sides 2 entree or 3 entree options. I got Kung pao chicken, mushroom chicken and orange chicken with white rice. I would say there isn't anything completely special about this place- if you want something like Panda Express that's not Panda Express, could go here. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Tiga Wagyu Curry, Braised Pork & Wagyu Beef Rice Bowl, Egg Fried Rice, Chow Mein and some White Rice. This is not gourmet, but it's good, and very reasonably priced. The total order came to only $31.00 Overall, the food was fine, but I was most impressed by the packaging. This was my second visit to Tigawok. This is a new addition to Burbank. They have been open for several months now. I passed by location several times, but finally got a chance to try them. For food, I can say food was yummy and delicious. I ordered orange chicken and another chicken bowl. I also tired the chow mein and rice. Food was really good and was fresh. No complaints about the food. I also tried the teas, I like that they were not too sweet. For service, staff who helped me were very nice and friendly. They were patient while I was taking my time deciding what to order. For ambiance, I can give this location ten stars. This store was very clean and well maintained. Fountain drinks area was very clean. I really liked the idea of reusable containers and choice of the containers. They offer reusable bags which is very nice. Nice alternative to Panda Express - similar pricing but smaller portions and tastes healthier/lighter. Affordable and good value food, especially when everything is so expensive nowadays. Out of everything we got, the chow mein was the best. Noodles were bouncy and absorbed a lot of flavor from the different ingredients. Some of the orange chicken pieces were a bit hard, but taste and texture wise I think I much prefer Panda's. I enjoyed the mapo tofu, but felt like the wagyu pieces were fried almost like bacon bits and so I don't think they did much for the tofu. I did like the flavor from the chili oil and how soft the tofu was. They tend to make not very large batches that we had to wait a bit for more chow mein and mapo tofu to come out, but luckily it didn't take that long. I stumbled across this spot in downtown Burbank and was pleasantly surprised. The place is really clean, the food comes out super fast, and they've got this fun buffet-style setup where you can taste everything before you commit -- which I loved, because a couple items weren't things I'd want a full plate of, but still tasted good. It's like an authentic fast-food style restaurant, but the flavors are solid and the prices are honestly great for what you get. The portions were generous (I even had leftovers, and I don't eat that much), so the value is definitely there. Alright I was heavily debating between 3, 4 and 5 stars, ultimately decided to go with 4 because I feel like they can make some simple improvements to bring this place to the next level: 1 - I've tried every dish here that is not pork. Mixing those two together was the perfect combination. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. However, the price point for those two is a bit too high, especially for the minimal amount of meat you get. Still, really good combination. Orange Chicken. I gave this so many tries and...not good. It is way too sweet and...too tangy? Orange peely? I just know I can never finish it. And it's quite crispy which would normally be good but I think here, it's because it's mostly batter instead of chicken. They should just copy Panda Express's orange chicken!! That would bring this place to 5 stars. Seriously...CHANGE THE ORANGE CHICKEN. Brussel Sprouts: I loooove brussel sprouts and was pleased this place has them. They are delicious here but far too oily/buttery. I feel like a fat slob after finishing a bowl of them here. Please consider air frying them or something instead. Less butter / oil. Maybe toss in some bacon and cheese!!!! Kung pao chicken: Good! Sweet tomato & eggs: Notttt good wouldn't recommend. UNLESS you like eggy flavours. I like eggs but not when they taste too much like overcooked egg if that makes sense. Hunan Spicy beef: It's good just way toooo expensive.... $8 on its own!!!! The service was great. Employees are nice enough I guess. The inside is ok. It's clean, and they have an amazing sauce counter with pickled onions and great wagyu chili!! That really sets this place apart. The containers are wonderful! And the to-go bags are great. I'm just wondering if they contribute a bit too much to the high-ish prices of some of the dishes. Something they need to change about the inside: please add single chairs/tables for people who eat alone. Maybe add some chairs on the balcony or something. In summary, if they change the orange chicken peel and chow mein recipe, make brussel sprouts less oily/buttery, maybe drop prices a little (or make some kind of discount for ordering multiple items), accomadate people who want to eat alone, this place would get 5 stars. read more

My boyfriend and I go to tigawok so often, and we loved it for what it was. We were told by staff that they're still taking people's feedback. 3.5 - not bad for the price and portion. I ordered a plate through DoorDash and had the chow mein, orange peel chicken, and chilled garlic broccoli. There was a large portion of noodles but not that much of the entrees. Flavor was good but comparing it to Panda Express, there are areas for improvement. As seen in my picture, there was way too much soy sauce in the noodles so it was pretty salty. The orange peel chicken was also not crispy and the breading is thick. With the name tigawok, you'd expect cooking with wok hei, but that was missing in my plate. I would order it again if I needed something simple and not too expensive but nothing to write home about. read more

Regular here. They just changed their whole menu at this specific location and I'm honestly kinda devastated. It used to be a really good Asian fusion and semi-authentic Chinese fast food joint. Now it's just another Panda Express. There used to be a lot more Asians in here. Today, Tuesday evening, the area was empty. Believe me, I didn't want to write this review because I LOVED coming here...but wtf is this betrayal with the mapo tofu, eggplant, pork buns, etc. all GONE? As an ABC (American Born Chinese), I don't get much authentic Chinese food around Burbank. This was my comfort food when I didn't feel like cooking - but now the food like their orange chicken and string beans are generic and dry as hell. It's kinda crazy how their takeout bags and packaging is higher quality than the actual dishes now. I'll drop by once a while to see if they change back again I guess. This sucks :( read more

I stopped by here to grab lunch today since I was in the area. I been here already for a Yelp Elite Experience so I was already familiar with what they had. So I went with the chow Mein, orange chicken and human spicy beef which I didn't try before. I got their kung Pao chicken instead and that tasted more like chicken basil that my mom makes at home. When I came today, they were a little busy after lunch but it was because there were guest waiting for items that they had to make. Keep in mind that this place is card only, someone tried to pay with cash but the cashier told her that they only takes cards. They give you a good portion of food in their microwave safe and reusable container. The chow Mein was still delicious especially when you add Sriracha to it which they don't have here. The spicy beef was pretty good and I would order that again. The orange chicken is also good but I would get double spicy beef instead next time. My first time here with friends and was interested in the concept overall of robot-cooked food. You line up at the front and basically order what you would like, and each item is placed in a separate container. So to start on my order, I had to choose a base. I went with steamed rice and the staff poured out rice like a dispenser from their machine. It was pretty solid rice too. Fluffy and soft. A good amount was given and helped complement the proteins I chose next. I got the red braised pork belly and although they were out of potatoes, the staff still filled it well and basically I got more protein out of it which was a big plus!!! I actually really loved it even though a couple of my friends say it was too sweet for their liking. Next, I got the orange chicken and thought that each piece of meat was battered and fried perfectly. They had a nice crunch and a good even amount of flavor. This is a perfect spot for groups because we shared some proteins amongst one another and the total price didn't break all of our banks. I thought the mapo tofu was delicious and not too spicy. Tigawok is one of my favorite restaurants to go to in the Burbank Town Center area because it's affordable and the food it delicious. I always order the wagyu rice bowl and orange chicken. The orange chicken glaze flavor is sweet and rich and caramelizes the chicken really well. I also like the flecks of orange peel you can see in the sauce. There is always adequate seating when I go to the restaurant. My only complaint is that depending on the worker, you may or may not get a hefty serving of the foods. I've had some workers add two scoops of beef to my wagyu rice bowl and others add only one. Other than that, I think the food is well worth it for the price. read more

Came here for a Yelp Elite event a few weeks back when they first opened and loved the vibe and feeling of being welcomed. That was not my experience today. The vibe was off, and the staff was cold. I felt rushed and felt like I was dumb because I asked to get a kung pao combo, thinking there was one, but apparently they only have 3 combos to choose from, so any other entree is a la carte. She did not explain that, but that way I figured that out on my own after she looked at me like I was dumb for asking for that combo. Things didn't get better, as the soda machine did not have any fizz to it, so any soda you got was stale and tasted as flat as soda could taste. Settled for sad raspberry iced tea. The chicken itself was not the greatest either; it tasted too soft and chewy with hard-to-chew areas and tasted like it had been sitting there under the lamp for some time. Needless to say, I came to the Yelp event weeks ago as a happy future customer and could not wait to come back. Now I'm leaving, probably not wanting to come back. I have been wanting to come to Tigawok for so long. I was finally in Burbank and decided to stop by. You can try your luck at street parking, however, it will cost you or you can just park in the free parking structure! First off, the service is awesome. Friendly smiles all around. The concept is great. You can pick items and they tell you the cost of everything up front. You are able to try the items before too. I ended up ordering rice with pork sauce, chow mein, cola chicken, and eggplant with string beans. The rice and chow mein dish were good but the other main dishes I got were okay. I don't think I would get them again. There was nothing that I ordered that I really enjoyed or wanted to eat more of. They do have a rotating menu so maybe there will be something you will like. Another thing, I really love the packaging. The bowls are super cute. I love that if you don't finish it, you can get a lid for it and it stays on very well. Had the pork buns, the tiga cola chicken, Brussels sprouts, rice, and chow mein which I enjoyed shockingly considering I normally don't like chow mein.
