Braised pork, Squash and Spicy Cucumber

I've been to TigaWok a few times, and what made me fall in love with it was the original concept. You could choose several small dishes served in cute little containers, which made it easy to try different flavors at a very affordable price. My favorite was always the tomato and egg dish, so I came back craving it, only to find out it's no longer on the menu. It looks like TigaWok has shifted to a build-your-own bowl concept. You start by choosing a base (jasmine rice, chow mein, half or all greens, purple rice, or egg fried rice), then a protein, a veggie, and a side. They also offer complimentary sauces, and I really enjoyed the ginger scallion sauce. It added great flavor to my bowl. My only issue was that the menu wasn't very clear about what qualifies as a "veggie" versus a "side." I chose roasted pumpkin (squash) as my vegetable and spicy cucumber as my side, but I was still charged extra, which was confusing. I wish the menu explained the categories better or simply combined the vegetable and side into one selection since they're all vegetable-based dishes. It would make the ordering process much more customer-friendly and avoid surprises at checkout. I also ordered the braised pork belly, which used to be one of my favorites. Before, it came in tender, bite-sized pieces. This time, the pork was cut into larger chunks with a lot of fat, and unfortunately, the meat was dry. I understand that businesses evolve, and the staff explained that the new concept caters to their customer demographics. I appreciate that they're offering more vegan-friendly options while still keeping pork, beef, chicken, and shrimp on the menu. However, I miss the old concept that made TigaWok stand out. I hope they'll consider bringing back some of the original favorites and making the ordering process a little clearer. I'd love to see this place thrive because I've genuinely enjoyed it in the past.

I visited this location around 12:10pm on a Saturday. There was no wait, and I felt very comfortable as I read the menu and took the time to understand the difference between a base and a mini bowl (aka I was not rushed). The employee was very patient and helpful. We ended up ordering the Garlic eggplant and green beans ($4), chow mein mini bowl ($4), orange chicken mini bowl ($5), and a fountain beverage. I really like the option of a mini bowl. Sometimes, I don't have the appetite to eat a full meal, and I don't want to waste food either. Other times, I just want to try new food. Regardless, I really appreciated the option of a mini bowl. The most enjoyable thing I had was the green beans in the eggplant dish. They were perfectly crunchy. All other items were okay to me. It was edible, just not something I would necessarily go back for. Overall the highlights of Tigawok for me was the friendly staff, cleanliness of the restaurant, and I enjoyed the option to have a mini bowl.

It is very nice. It's similar to panda express but so much better. I really love the red braised pork belly, that was very tender, fatty and delicious. The peppered chicken was very tasty as well. They have different varieties of dishes to choose from that are really delicious and fresh and fresh. They also offer pickled radish, and chili sauce. The best part was the utensils and containers they provided. It's really cool and high-quality covers and lids. Everything was available at a self-service counter.. If you had leftovers, you could easily pack them up yourself without having to go to the front again to ask for a to-go box. Such a convenient and a unique idea. A plate for two entree was $10.99 ( with additional a dollar or $1.50 for braised pork belly and curry ) and $13.99 for a plate of three entree of choice.

    |[ w o o h o o ]| 3.5 stars rounded up. Such a nice and spacious dining area! Fast efficient service! :) I tried the vegetarian tofu, the fried rice, the eggplant string beans-- all were actually decently flavored and the fried rice not bad for fast food, def superior to a certain popular Chinese fast food chain imo. We enjoyed it and the Togo packages and bag, even the straws are such good quality! |[ n o t e s ]| I would suggest less oil in the dishes, more vegan/vegetarian options, and soup options to make this place more amazing. A small gift for writing a review too! :)

Cool new Chinese food concept with robotic woks and smaller side portions. You choose the different small plates you like so you can mix and match with others at the table vs panda etc that puts a combo all into one personal platter. Fresh Chinese favorites at Great prices with good consistent food. These guys may become a big competitor to panda and other quick service Asian chains.

I was hungry and near this place and as much as I don't like their 'No Cash' policy, I decided to eat here. I tried their pork belly with chow mien and their tiga cola chicken, the pork belly was excellent, tiga cola chicken was ok, I bought their 2 item bowl, I probably will try their rice with 1 entree next time. Service was friendly and professional, the place was kept clean

This spot is great. Easy! Convenient! And tasty!! I have been here about ten times now and keep coming back for more. They have a new tigabowl that I tried out today! Great food! Great portion! Better than what you would get at the competition plus the quality of the food taste better!

I was in the area and walked in as I thought that everything was made to order but it's not. It's basically a food to go place. I came at lunch time and it was pretty empty inside. Service was friendly. The store is large and clean inside, but the food in the case did not look appetizing, it looked like it was sitting for a long time. Since I was there, I got the orange chicken and the tomato egg, and a bit of the hot sauce condiment. The hot sauce was delicious. The orange chicken was not, it was 90% batter and had a burnt taste. The tomato egg was ok but not great. Not for me.

Super quick service when we went mid day on a week day. I've never been so I just copied what my friends got --pork and fried egg plant with great beans. It was good and filling and lasted me two lunches. Very similar to Panda Express imo but a little more expensive. A great option if you want a big bowl.

Tigawok is a pioneering "robot-powered" Americanized Chinese restaurant chain launched in 2024 in Los Angeles by founder Tomas Su (Sunright Tea Studio) and Kelvin Wang (Beijing Tasty House). Tigawok focuses on a quick-service, cafeteria style and mini-bowl approach where customers can try multiples smaller portions. Dishes are intentionally priced to be affordable and competitive with grocery prices, typically ranging between $3 and $7. I really like the mini bowl concept, perfect portions and reasonable price. However, food is mediocre, lacking in depth or complex, authentic flavors. The feel of the restaurant was modern, bright, and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Dishes are acceptable when I am looking for a quick meal but not one I would specifically go out of my way to find again.

Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 What a upscale Chinese fast food restaurant. I have tried most of their menu and I love em all. They pack their food with very high quality boxes and my favorite was their free dipping sauce which takes the flavor to next level. I wish they open one near my house

Finished work and I was HUNGRY! My coworker told me to check out Tigawok and I did. I could tell by the people sitting outside that this place was popular. Very spacious and airy inside. I went to the sneezeproof counter and the server guided me through how to order. Got my proteins, veggies and other fun options. Paid and went to the refreshment beverage station to get my delicious drink. My food was amazing and I got to " people watch" people ordering their food in very comfy booths. This place is fun & tasty!

Smorgasbord style, Chinese fast food (the Chinese Chipotle). This place is super clean, modern and comfortable. We came in to sample a variety of items. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Tiga Wagyu Curry, Braised Pork & Wagyu Beef Rice Bowl, Egg Fried Rice, Chow Mein and some White Rice. This is not gourmet, but it's good, and very reasonably priced. The total order came to only $31.00 Overall, the food was fine, but I was most impressed by the packaging. The to-go containers are all very sleek and the carry-out bags are well made and nicely decorated. Definitely the best packaging I've seen for food containers. This was a pleasant experience and I will be back again.

My son didn't make a reservation because it was a Wednesday night and he didn't think it would be crowded. But with 5 adults and a baby carriage, we had to wait for the right table because the somewhat small restaurant was full. We soon got a good spot and ordered the shrimp ceviche and the pan fried dumplings for appetizers. The ceviche was served on a bed of crispy noodles and it was refreshing and satisfying. The dumplings were crispy, not greasy, and flavorful. For dinner, we got 2 orders of japchae and 3 orders of bibimbap. With 2 Korean-born children and having visited the country, those are among our family's favorite dishes. And they did not disappoint. The japchae noodles were just right. They were not too firm and not too soft and well-seasoned. With a mixture of veggies, meat, mushrooms, eggs, and that delectable sauce, the bibimbap tickled and satiated the tastebuds. I told the server there was a birthday at the table and she brought out an excellent creme brulee with a candle in it. My husband and I didn't pay the bill. But the prices were reasonable with most of the entrees costing less than $20 each. We have four more days in town and may very well make another visit to indulge in that scrumptious food.

Banh mi had no jalapenos either, the egg rolls were missing lettuce wraps and the sauce was half the to go container. I've eaten here in person and received lettuce when eating in the restaurant, their yelp photos show lettuce wraps with the egg rolls. I thought this placed served the food as it should be in their culture? I've held back leaving a bad review of this place because i thought they would somehow improve or it was a one off mistake but this was the final straw. Consistently screwing up or intentionally holding back ingredients on takeout orders crazy. How much are you actually saving by with holding lettuce, sauce, and jalapenos??? The roti was highly recommended, and although I've enjoyed roti before, nothing has come close to this version. I'm a big fan of drunken noodles, but the version served here was truly exceptional--the best I've ever had. The flavors were rich, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. Our server was attentive, patient, and genuinely kind, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and service. I thought it was too sweet for me and it didn't taste like most Pad Thais I've had or come to expect, but it was still okay. Veggie Rolls - This is pretty much salad/lettuce in a spring roll, and the peanut sauce is what makes it delicious. Not very large or filling, but good if you want some side greens. If you have a peanut allergy, skip these because they're kinda boring without the sauce. Panang Curry with Filet Mignon and added Japanese Pumpkin - This was a good dish! The steak was cooked a little too well for my liking, but it was generous in portion and the sauce was really flavorful. I was glad I added the pumpkin. Filet Mignon Pho - Not my favorite pho ever, but I liked that they offered Thai and Vietnamese options. When I ordered online, I didn't see in the description that it included bean sprouts or basil and that I had to order them for $2 each. I like my pho with every dang thing, so I spent the extra $4. The items did already come with the pho, plus I got an extra bag that I didn't really need to order. The steak was thinly sliced and tender, I just wish there was more of it. Salmon Rolls - These are pretty heavy, the fresh salmon is fried on the outside and rare on the inside. They come with a few dipping sauces, including a spicy mustard that I liked. Thai Tea Caramel Creme - This is honestly the reason I order from here. I am a damn fiend for Thai Tea-flavored desserts, and I crave this one all the time. It has a rich, velvety texture and a strong Thai tea flavor. I have thought of stopping by just to order this, and I probably will. Our orders have always been ready on time, although I can't speak for any dining-in experience, and I think it's a little pricier than other Thai restaurants. The website is just a little wonky... I like that everything is customizable in just about every way, and there are pictures of most items, but the pho order wasn't clear about what it would come with, and some of the upcharges are higher than they should be. However, I will come back for that Thai tea dessert because I've fallen in love.

The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, with warm lighting and a comfortable, inviting ambiance that makes every visit feel relaxing and enjoyable. My favorite dishes are the drunken noodles with shrimp, turmeric curry with chicken, and the sauteed eggplant with tofu. Their Thai tea with no sugar is absolutely fantastic and pairs perfectly with the meal. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing food, great service, and a wonderful dining experience!

It's super clean but without feeling steril. When we sat down, we noticed a nice woman with her mom who was celebrating her 95th birthday and we sat next to them. They were both very sweet and mentioned the items they got and how good everything was. We basically mirrored their dishes and were not disappointed by our choices. Generally, when you're at a Thai restaurant, you can't go wrong when you take advantage of suggestions given to you by two beautiful Thai people. We started off with an appetizer called "Gold Rush" which are 6 crispy, yet chewy wontons that are cooked until golden and then the dipping sauce was a tangy soy vinaigrette which I initially wished had not been taken away with our plates when we were done but any concern I had was soon forgotten when the other dishes came out because everything was so well seasoned that I never once thought, "I wish I still had some of that dipping sauce". We ordered the Laab Chicken which I always crave because so many Thai restaurants don't serve it. But Spice Season offers it and that might have been my favorite dish. I always order it without the rice powder because I don't like the powdery ground rice. I think it's a distraction from everything else in the dish. Our server didn't blink an eye when I asked that it not be included. Next, we ordered the Pad Thai. It was delicious. The noodles are thinner rice noodles (like angel hair) than what I have typically experienced (more like the size of linguini) but I loved the dish overall, would not change a thing and will definitely order it again. Blazing Basil Beef was the next dish that came out. The beef was super tender that night but it did not heat up well the next day. It got tough, even though I heated it up using a very low microwave power setting. This was in no way a reflection on how they cooked this dish because it was perfect when it came out. I will try the Heaven Scent next time or Spice Season Steak in lieu of Blazing Basil but that is not to say I would never order it again - far from it - but we are excited to try other dishes as I have noted further below. Rounded everything out with the Pineapple Fried Rice which I crave just as much as Laab but I'm usually nervous to try it because so many times the rice doesn't have any flavor, or not enough pineapple juice but not the case here! It was delicious! D'oh! I forgot to mention the Matcha Cheesecake which was heavenly. It took me several days to finish that off and unlike the Blazing Basil, it held up fantastically in the fridge for the next few days which is how long it took me to finish it off. Honestly, everything we tried was incredibly fresh, bursting with different flavors and cooked the way we enjoy our Thai food. We were not rushed, and the person who took our order said that we had ordered plenty of food which I appreciated - we do tend to over-order but that's because we eat the leftovers but I thought it was nice that she gave me the "that's probably enough" sign. Last thing I will mention just to help others on the spicy scale, we love our Thai food spicy. I read some reviews where people said the food was not spicy enough. We told our server that we like spicy and that we would leave it up to her - she said that everything would be a 4 out of 5 on the spice scale and while it was perfect for me, my husband thought it was just a tad too spicy but I think he's just out of practice. ;) We will probably go with 3 out of 5 next time, unless I'm alone. Then I would go back to 4 on the spice scale! I'm excited to try the Papaya Salad, Lime Steak Salad, Tom-Yum Fried Rice, Heaven Scent, and Lemongrass Soup. They definitely have a wide variety of food offerings, including things I've never heard of or seen. Something for everyone!
