I was super excited to have an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and an iced oat milk peach latte. The latte came out super quick which is normal, so I gave the bagel a few more minutes. 20 minutes go by and still no bagel. A few more people get in and out of line and receive both coffee and food items they purchased. I went up to the counter to ask about my bagel and the girl that helped me forgot about it! So she apologized and I gave her the benefit of the doubt and waited for her to make my bagel. A few moments go by and she informs me that they're completely out of bagels. At this point, I'm pretty disappointed so I ask for a refund. There's someone else at the counter being rung up so we have to wait. The girl presses some buttons on the pos and says, "okay, you're all set. The refund will be back into your account in a couple of days." I tell her that I paid in cash, so she refunded the wrong order. She forgot that she asked my name for the order in the beginning. I remind her that I paid in cash and that I still need a refund for the bagel and cream cheese that I paid for. She finally gave me my refund. This was my first experience with her, but she seemed a little off. Like, she wasn't all there. The cafe wasn't even busy enough for her to have forgotten everything. I don't remember her name, but she was tall and skinny with blonde hair tied up into a ponytail. A bit of improvement -get your staff to clean up the place, floor tables -replace things that don't work such as table. This coffee place is conveniently located in the Vallejo Ferry Terminal - great for commuters, for SF Giants fans, and for anyone strolling along the Vallejo waterfront. Panama Bay serves great coffee! I often choose whether to buy coffee there, or wait for my favorite BB coffee at the SF Ferry Building. As big of a fan I am of BB, I'm equally satisfied when I opt for coffee at Panama Bay. The choices for great coffee in Vallejo are few, so I'm happy to have this shop in my hometown. Unfriendly staff very rude, charge a dollar extra for everything even a smile.. I asked them not to fill the cup all the way up so I can put my cream and sugar.. and they did anyways.. Even after many months working only from home during the pandemic, Lauren still remembers my order and is always welcoming when I come in before my ferry. Cold brew is decently strong and not bitter. Most recently this cafe its a decent place to sit to enjoy a cup of coffee however be warned they make you pay for a water cup $0.50, in addition to my $4.50 latte, boggles me @ times, but people are decent. We came upon this shop while waiting for the ferry to SF. There is ample seating inside and out, and is a nice place to have a cup of coffee while overlooking the water. I received friendly and quick service and they have a diverse enough menu of drinks and food items. The main con was my coffee. It wasn't horrible, but it was weak in flavor and I couldn't taste the pump of peppermint syrup in it at all. My sister ordered a croissant and soy latte and her latte was half foam, so no bueno there. All in all, I would try it again next time I'm in the area and see if my next drink is better than my first. read more

The building also houses some sort of mass transit station. I ordered a triple shot Pumpkin spice latte - was very strong and delicious! There is lots of varied seating here - tables with chairs, bar tables, a bar like area, comfy chairs... Cool place to hang out and get some work done or just relax and chill. Right on the water. I totally L-O-V-E this place! First, it's hard to find quality in Vallejo. Second, it's hard to find quality coffee anywhere! Panama is inside the ferry terminal. Initially when this special place was being built I was a bit disappointed because I really wanted something special. Well- the coffee gods work in mysterious ways! They not only serve coffee, but damn good coffee-- it is magical. Ironically enough I usually get the Ice Tea (Mostly because it is delish) and a fancy bread. The best bread I have had was the Gluten free banana bread. I ate it and then shamefully went back up to buy another one. NO judgments if you do the same. It was just too good. What a cute place! The atmosphere and location are amazing. Located within the ferry ticketing building (also shared with a brewery), this place has a beautiful view of waterfront, lots of big windows, and gets a ton of natural lighting. There's an abundance of seating inside, as well as outside with some picnic tables, however I didn't see any umbrellas on the warm day that I went. I enjoyed the coffee a lot. Good options for coffee, and a pretty good selection for food for a coffee shop. I didn't order any food, however after sitting there and working for 3 hours near the bar, its safe to say the Turkey Pesto is a favorite here. What I received today was horrendous. It was milk and hot water in a large cup. The cup was so hot any espresso that may have been there was burnt. I took one sip and tossed it then drove to Benecia to get a real cappuccino. The bar has been raised high for espresso drinks and this place should not be serving crappy Capps for $4. This is a super cute little cafe in the Vallejo ferry terminal with great views of the Napa River, and great gluten-free options! My partner and I came in here for coffee before a walk along the water just to check the place out. We were surprised and delighted to find that they have a huge gluten-free selection. Most coffee shops only offer one or two celiac-friendly foods (yogurt parfait or you're out of luck) but Panama Bay had so much to choose from: lemon bars, nut breads, macaroons. My partner has celiac disease, and I love coffee shops. This is the first place we've found that works great for both of us. On top of that, the coffee is delicious. They have a good variety of specialty drinks, iced, blended, etc., but I usually just get a house coffee, and theirs is tasty and fresh. I usually come here while I wait for the ferry to get here in the morning for my commute to San Francisco. The staff is always really nice and are as quick as they can be with the amount of people that flock to it in the morning. They have the best breakfast burritos and are almost as big as Chipotle's but with yummy breakfast goodness in them. They have pretty decent brewed coffee but it did not have anything special with the flavor. If you need a place to sit and work or study for a few before getting onto the ferry this would be a good spot. You can watch the ferry come into port and wait til the line for the ferry goes down or just grab a pastry, coffee, and stay out of the cold or rain. read more
