We thought we would try something different and walked in on a weekday late afternoon. Small place, and not crowded but the smell from the kitchen meant there was good food cooking up fresh! We had the crispy spring roll appetizer 1/2 chicken and 1/2 veggie. Then came our order- it was so much! Crabmeat (not that crab imitation stuff) fried rice and the Pra Ram. So delicious! I asked for the sauce on the side, but everything tasted great with it. They had great service too. We will definitely be returning here to try more dishes! read more

Normally, Panang 7 does in a pinch, but today it was awful. I ordered pineapple chicken fried rice and the chicken tasted off and rancid, there was hardly any seasoning, and it tasted like watered down pineapple juice was added to add some type of flavor. There were browned green onions that appear to be from poor produce choice, not cooking. Very slimy textured and poor smelling. I got three bites in and could not stomach any more. We tried to work out a refund with the restaurant, but they insist nothing can be done due to their own online platform operating off of DoorDash. It is frustrating that you can order an order directly from a restaurant's website and pick it up yourself, but they can do nothing when the food is poor quality. read more

Negative reviews. We went inside to eat. We sat down at a corner booth and ordered drinks. Then, out of the depths of hell, a cockroach comes crawling across the booth seats. It slips away and hides back into the crevices from where it arose. At this point we are disgusted and decide to pay the tab and go. We flag the waiter down to ask for the check and the drinks to go. The drinks arrive. We don't touch them. I look over to my right. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something moving next to me. There is now ANOTHER cockroach taking a stroll on the booth seat. Immediately we spring up out of the booth, and start fighting off the heebie jeebies. We are extremely uncomfortable at this point. We stay standing until the waiter comes with the check. We should have told him there were cockroaches infested in the restaurant and that's why we were leaving... but we didn't. We made up an excuse, paid the bill, left, and threw the drinks away untouched. I feel shame for not telling him why we left, but by the look in his eyes... he knew. read more

Curry lover here! Was going to Go Go Sushi next door and decided to give this place a try for a change. Lunch specials during the week and there is pretty neat. Course four things from a list and I ordered a vegetable roll, fried rice, red curry and garlic chicken stir fry. The price is 10.99 and I thought it was pretty fair. It came out quickly and flavors are not unique but good. Half way through my meal there was a strong smell of incense burning or something which if I was not eating lunch wouldn't have bothered me. Panang7 is our favorite Thai restaurant. What's there not to love about Panang7? It's family-owned, and I love supporting local businesses. The food is absolutely stellar. And it's at a pretty convenient location for us just off the highway! Because of the pandemic, we've been doing a lot of takeout, so I can't comment on the service, although the service at all the other Panang locations have been wonderful. One of my favorite dishes to order is the spicy catfish which is our new staple we're almost always ordering. It's perfectly fried catfish in a delicious curry based sauce that is just magnificent. Similarly to the spicy catfish, anything "Spicy Basil" is worth getting (noodles, fried rice, protein options)! We almost always get curry, and my favorites are the green curry and evil jungle chicken curry. The pad Thai and pad see ew are my comfort dishes I enjoy. I'm also a fan of the green curry fried rice and crab meat fried rice too. Lastly, I love a good Panang lunch special where you get pad Thai or fried rice, a choice of curry, choice of stir fry protein dish, and a spring roll. Regardless of the lunch special or your regular meals, Panang7 loads you up with so much food. We are so lucky to have the Panang line here in okc that Thai food has consistently disappointed me on my travels! read more

I'll admit I'm a Thai food snob so I'm hard to impress. I checked the menu and they had me at papaya salad and mango sticky rice. The Papaya Salad was spot on including the level of heat you'd expect. We got it with shrimp, delish! Also the Larb Salad, very good but not much greens and not much heat but flavor was really good. This was AMAZING! I've never had Thai food and let me tell you, I was Not disappointed. Our friends knew exactly what we should order and of course, we did family style so we could all have a little bit of everything. We started with Spring Rolls and Chicken Sate which was SO good. The Spring Rolls were probably the best I'd ever had. We then order entrees of Spicy Basil Fried Rice, Pad Thai Noodles, Panang Curry and Spicy Stir-Fried. My sister & I ordered to-go & we were pleasantly surprised at how excellent it was. I ordered the shrimp pad thai while she got the shrimp fried rice. I was very satisfied with the pad thai -- it was not overly coated in sauce, with just the right hit of umami & the meatiest shrimps. Even the noodles separated nicely upon reheating instead of condensing/coagulating into a forsaken noodle brick as this type of noodle tends to do in the fridge. Although if I'm going to be completely honest, it was the shrimp fried rice that was the star of the show! Highly recommended. I kept stealing spoonfuls from her plate... it was incredibly delicious! We never shared such a decadent fried rice experience like this before. The dishes here were worth every penny. read more

I usually make two meals out of one lunch special. The evil jungle curry is my favorite! This review is for the dinner entrees, but so you know, lunch is ALWAYS good!! I ordered 2 chicken pad Thai, 1 spicy basil w chicken, 1 larb salad (it is served warm...I didn't know that, as it was my first time to try it), and 2 orders of fried pork spring rolls. Panang 7 has outstanding Thai food and service. I have eaten at Panang 7 on numerous occasions and have never waited to be seated. This restaurant does an excellent job managing the amount of heat you want in your Thai dishes, I have ordered food very hot and very mild and the dishes always turn out perfectly. My personal favorites are the Drunken Noodles (they call them Soy Sauce Noodles), Panang Curry, Garlic Stir Fry and Lemongrass Stir Fry. I typically like Phad Thai but there version of Phad Thai didn't meet my expectations, every other dish I have had at Panang 7 have been exceptional. Nice atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff. Started with the Green Papaya Salad. Some of the green beans were not quite done as they were a little more hard and chewy than crisp. The flavor was great and the shrimp was plentiful and very fresh. I also ordered a Thai Iced Tea. It had just the right amount of sweetness and tea/cream ratio. Finally, my main meal was the traditional Pad Thai. Noodles were cooked perfectly, and probably the largest portion of Pad Thai I have ever received in a restaurant. The sauce was a little sweeter than most I have had but it was still very tasty. I ordered it medium on spice and had to add some more from their homemade spice tray. Overall a very good experience. Hands down the best Thai restaurant in Oklahoma and other states, IMO. The portion is very big for a decent price. One plate of fried rice can last me 2-3 meals! I normally order: Eggrolls: the eggrolls are really good but the sweet and sour dipping sauce makes the eggrolls taste even better. Pineapple fried rice: this is a popular Thai dish and it tastes so good. It comes with cashew nuts which I always order to be put on the side because I don't like it in my rice. If you don't like pineapple, this is probably not the dish for you. Pad Thai: this is a must try. If you like spicy, get this dish more spicy! For most of the entrees, you get to pick the type of meat you want and the spicy level. With Thai food, I love tofu (well actually I love tofu in general), it just taste really well with the flavor of the dishes. read more

Our family loves Thai food and especially panang. We have eaten at many Thai restaurants in many states including here in Oklahoma. We had wanted some good panang for lunch today and this was the closest restaurant to our location at the time. We figured with it even being named Panang it should have some excellent panang. We were very sadly mistaken. We ordered two panang dishes with different proteins in each. The sauce was not creamy and tasty but rather thin as water with very little flavor and no heat at all. Quite honestly the worst panang we have ever had anywhere. We also ordered the appetizer of the fried tofu (one of our most commonly ordered appetizers when we get Thai or Chinese food.) The tofu we got today was dry and rubbery... almost impossible to eat. I don't know if this is the normal quality of food they serve or if they had a fill-in chef for the day but we won't be going back and I would highly recommend you go to any other Thai restaurant... especially for the high price and rather slow service. read more
