Ay que bueno! Roseville simply has the best tacos. And Taqueria Maria has some very good ones. I recently began eating more Birria meals. Birria in crunchy tacos is a whole different level. Taqueria Maria has tasty, juicy, crunchy Birria tacos. I was not only impressed with the tacos, but also their chips & salsas. The salsas they have are spicy if you like that. I went after lunch and the place was fairly quiet, so they took my order right away. The lady was sweet. The restaurant plays Mexican music and food is authentic. I plan to return as I am adding this restaurant as one of my favs for tacos.

Stopped by for a quick dinner and got the quesabirria tacos. The food came out fast and hot. If you love your quesabirria tacos with that perfect crispy shell definitely come here. One of the best in Roseville I have just discovered.

Upon entering this cute little restaurant, you're immediately welcomed by a smile from the person about to take your order. My friend and I decided to order to go while we were on our lunch break and luckily the food came out super fast! When we were waiting we seen their chips and salsa bar and decided to try each sauce. My favorite has got to be the spiciest one they offer, I love a kick to my food. They also offered whole jalapeños and some lemons (no limes that day but it's okay!). My friend ordered the super burrito and I got chicken street tacos. My friend and I enjoyed our meals and there was a generous portion of meat for both of us. The only side note we did have was that the meat didn't have as much flavoring as we would prefer, but the sauces definitely made up for that! We will be back :)

I went in today with my wife and was greeted with a very nice woman. She gave us recommendations on what to order and was very accommodating. I had the California burrito and my wife had 3 street tacos. One of the best California burritos I've had. My wife also loved the pastor tacos. Great food, great service! read more

I just had Taqueria Maria for dinner and it was great! The woman working the register was very friendly and attentive. I ordered a pastor super burrito, and my wife ordered a carne asada burrito. These were the best two burritos that we've had since moving to Roseville. This will be our new go-to taqueria. Look no further than Taqueria Maria, because it's better than wherever else you're gonna get a burrito. read more

My experience both times I have been there was good. I love the tortilla chips, which are free! The nice lady that manages the place is welcoming and helpful. Their prices are reasonable. Stopped by this afternoon after my nail appointment as it's right next door. My nail tech said it was good so I gave it a try. The staff here were super friendly. I decided to order the 3 quesabirria tacos. Total was around $12-13 with free chips and salsa. The meat in the tacos was so delicious, lean and not greasy or fatty. The sauce to dip the tacos in wasn't greasy either and had so much flavor. I sipped it after I was done eating my tacos it was that good and flavorful. I will definitely be back for those taco and my BF also loved that they were flavorful but not greasy! (I regret sharing one of my tacos with him! lol ) read more

Do not sleep on these tacos , or really anything at this spot. Probably just had the best Al Pastor Crispy Taco of my life! Their salsa bar is fresh and delicious. Was looking for a quick bite to eat during my lunch break. Stumbled across this place nestled in the plaza across from the hospital. Service was welcoming, a nice lady greeted me when I walked in. Food was great .I got two street taco for a quick taste test. I was blown away literally. They had a nice clean chip/salsa bar and the roasted red salsa I tried did not disappoint. The salsa was flavorful and spicy both a personal favorite. A variety of drink options. My ice cold Coca-Cola was awesome relief. Tacos were excellent and juicy asada. I was driving by & decided to give this spot a try! Sign says "under new management". I requested Pozole since it's Sunday and it's on the menu. The cashier says no we don't have any then proceeds to walk over to a large pot and dip a ladle in and says no pozole we have menudo. Ok no thanks I'll try the taco & enchilada combo and a Michelada. Food came out pretty fast and was mediocre. Took what seemed like forever for the $9+ basic Michelada to come out...it was gross. When the server delivered it he said let me know how it is. I can give you some mineral water to add to it. I put too much tajin in it!!! Seriously? I asked the owner who was now working at the counter if I could just have a beer and a refund for the difference. She then offered to remake it....sure that would be great. It definitely wasn't as bad as the 1st but it tasted like straight Clamato.....would I come back no never! I also didn't appreciate the staff talking about me behind the counter/signs.....I could hear every thing. Definitely not worth the $27 read more

I've been going here for years. The previous owner had good food but a very bad environment. When Lucy and her husband took over they turned this place around. It's clean, the food is wonderful and they couldn't be more friendly. Talk about some small business owners that really care! Try the quessabirria! read more

I've been coming here for over six months--at least once a week--and I've worked my way through most of the taco menu. I can't recommend this place enough. The quality, freshness, and flavors are on another level. Don't come here expecting your typical street taco or hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant. These are elevated, chef-inspired tacos. At around $5-$6 per taco, they may cost a little more, but every single bite is worth it. The ingredients are fresh, the combinations are creative, and everything is packed with flavor. The restaurant itself is small, so if it's busy, you might have to wait for a table. But you're not coming here for the seating or ambiance--you're coming for some of the best tacos you'll find, served by people who clearly care about what they do. I don't think the other reviewers get out much. I knew we were in trouble when the first thing we saw was the greasy looking old popcorn machine holding the chips. This had a sign stating that I must purchase $5.00 worth of food to get chips. Really? A Mexican food place that charges for chips? Should have walked out. We ordered the carne asada tacos I guess expecting to get a good value for our money. We ordered our meals and I paid about $9.50 for both. Went to get chips, and were told that we each had to spend $5.00. Ridiculous! The tacos were dry and very small. I should have just gone to Subway, it would have been cheaper and I would have been satisfied. There are many better "hole-in-the-wall" mex places. read more

They have a torta special with fries and drink. I thought I wasn't going to get full. I ate the fries and half torta and was surprisingly full. I finished eating the torta and drink, and was stuffed.
