Stopped by for a few chicken tacos today and they were not good. I got them on corn tortillas and they were greasy and hard. The texture was so bad I could barely eat them. The salsas were not spicy at all and runny compared to other places. The dining area had many dirty tables and flies everywhere. The bathroom was outstanding though. Pancho Tacos is it. Seriously. I hate it when people complain about not being able to find authentic Mexican food in Texas. There's plenty of places. You just have to look further than On The Border to find something that isn't drenched in chile con carne. As a previous reviewer said, this place is so authentic that it would help to know a bit of Spanish when you come to order. However, if not, the staff is still very friendly and helpful. I usually get four tacos with rice and beans. They pile the meat high on their tortillas along with plenty of onions and fresh cilantro. Also, what's not to love about a good helping of rice and beans? My grandma is from Costa Rica so rice and beans are my comfort food and these guys definitely hits the nail on the head. Make sure to have plenty of napkins available when to dive into your meal as the meat is so juicy it's not uncommon for the juice to dribble down your chin. My husband and I always get their horchata which is so fresh you sometimes get pieces of rice in your straw. Last time we were there my husband was extra hungry so we got an order of tamales, which were also very good. They were incredibly moist, unlike the ones you get other places where you need some type of sauce with them. Pancho Tacos is definitely "off the beaten path" and if you blink when you're driving down Division, you'll miss it. But it's definitely worth the trouble. They put them on the grill with poop still inside of the tripas and put it in my taco...So I was disgusting and threw those away.Then I ordered Chicharons and they under cooked those I mean it looked like they just took them out of the container and put them in my tacos..So anyone that eats here please inspect all your food that you purchase here but as for me I am never coming back here again read more

This place is pretty amazing. Came here on a late night during the weekend. It was packed- that's gotta mean something good is goin' on. The first time around, i ordered the lengua (tongue), tripas, barbacoa, and fajita. Everything was delicious. The Barbacoa was tender and melt in your mouth delicious. The lengua was tender- but not the most flavorful i've had. The fajita was seasoned well, and so was the tripas. I come here whenever i get the chance to make it up here. I have been to this place about 3 times now and each time it's been deliciously consistent. I've had the 3 taco combo plate with barbacoa, rice, and beans. I've had the pastor as well which is very good. It's served with cilantro and onion. I am a major fan of their beans and rice, especially the beans. They're creamy and flavorful. The price is also very reasonable. My husband and I both got the platters with one side of avocado for 15.00 even and were stuffed. The only reason I didn't give this taco spot a perfect score is because the salsa (delicious also) bottles were sticky as was the salt shaker. This is quite unappealing as you then have to use your dirty hands thereafter to pick up your tacos. Yuck! However, the rest of the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly! read more

I like street tacos, so I was trying to find a place to enjoy them. I was a little skeptical of Pancho's Tacos, but ended up pleasantly surprised. The fajita(beef) tacos and pollo (chicken) tacos, topped with chopped onion and fresh cilantro were good. The salsa, red and green, were great. The green sauce was spicy, which I like. The tortillas were a little too greasy, but still good. For authentic tacos, I recommend this place. For 3 tacos and 2 cans of Coke, I paid $6.53. Not bad. I only wish I spoke Spanish, or vise versa, so I could ask questions about more of the menu. All in all, I'll be back. read more

I ordered food from Pancho's Tacos on the spur of the moment at 2:45 am for my lunch at 3. I ordered a couple of things that I like to see how they compare to what I'm used to. I ordered two buche tacos, two tripas tacos and,in case that wasn't enough, a lengua burrito. The four tacos would have been plenty! I had them make the tacos on flour tortillas which are more filling. The tacos came all arranged open face on one plate. They were all ample sized,with a lot of meat. The salsa could have been a little hotter but it was fresh and had good flavor. The buche was cooked really well and had good flavor! The onions and cilantro were fresh. Next came the tripas which if not cooked right can be mushy mine were perfect,nice and crisp with excellent taste, not "muddy"! After being thoroughly satisfied with with the tacos I decided to try the burrito to see how it was. It was an excellent sized burrito about 3.5 to 4 in around. Now for my only complaint. There was too much rice and beans!! The lengua was cooked like I like it but with all the other fillings its taste was lost. All in all the food was very good, their service was professional and my food was edible! I had only been to this restaurant one time before, with some friends from work. We met for breakfast and it was pretty good also. I'm glad I went this morning and now that I know they're close to work and open I will definitely return. read more

Pancho Tacos is one of the few restaurants that stay open after 10:00 p.m. on E Lancaster. They have a total of two locations one in Arlington and the other one in Fort Worth. The one on in Fort Worth looks like a hole in the wall place. There are actually metal bars over the windows, makes the place looks more intimidating than it is. Fear not, the staff is extremely nice, and you can most of the time get your food in less than 15 minutes. That's all authentic cool tacos with lime, cilantros, onions, meat of your choice on two corn tortillas for $1.00. Two of the best things about this place is that they are open so late, and you order at the counter, came here.with the boyfriend and his son the other night. Ther place is ok and close to my house, so I go here every now and then.\ Their portions are good and their prices low. If you stick to pastor then you will be happy.
