I went pretty darn sober and I can't say I felt great after eating their tacos. I had the lengua and Slim Jesus had barbacoa. We both agreed we had better. The salsas weren't spicy enough for me. I've been here twice. First time at 2 am, drunk and looking to eat whatever. Had the burger and tacos al pastor. I vaguely remember the experience and it was enjoyable. The second time was today, hungry, not drunk and craving Mexican street food. I got the chorizo torta and 3 tacos de tripitas. The torta had two tiny slices of tomato, about 1/8 of an avocado and the bottom bun was soaked in chorizo grease. The tacos themselves had a generous amount of onion and cilantro. However they were also drenched in grease. As much green/red sauce or lime juice I used all I tasted was grease. Verdict: If its 2 am you're drunk, hungry and you'll pretty much eat anything, why not. Any other time however I'd pass this place up. read more

Wow! I definitely should have come here sooner after finding out about it from one of my coworkers. Their food is truly authentic, but you must be able to look past the converted old Wendy's (or fast food joint) vibe. The menu is in Spanish and be expected to order in the native tongue! The menu boasts super cheap specials to include all you can eat menudo on the weekends for $5.99! Menu items include breakfast plates, tacos - including al pastor, barbacoa, lengua; pozole, tortas, yummy hamburgesas (with avocado!), quesadillas, and more. I know I'm missing more. They typically have a selection of aguas frescas (4-5 to choose from) in an extra large cup! This place is a piece of greasy taco heaven. Just the way it's supposed to be! Tacos are $1, tortas $4, huge hamburgesas for $4, breakfast plates (includes tortillas, papas, beans, eggs and choice of meat) for $4... They also are open late for the partiers... not sure if they are 24/7. It just doesn't get any better. I'm so glad you're within 5 minutes of home. read more

Where to start. Well the place is unhygienic. There is trash all around pieces of food tht they dont cleam. I was fighting the Mosquitos for my food. The bathroom had no soap. I ordered a chicken torta. The chicken was dry & felt like rubber. The tomatoes was not fresh. My guy ordered a Mexican hamburger. The fries were stale & undercooked. The hamburger was big & tasteless. He refused to eat it after one bite. I would not return to this place ever again. read more

Do not go here! The drink had a horrible taste like metal and they do not replace it with a better drink. You will have to pay for another one. We spend $60 and the food was horrible. I came here specifically to try their "street tacos" and was slightly disappointed. I tried the beef and pork on a flour tortilla and the meat was very dry. The only thing that saved the tacos is the hot sauce. The menu is in spanish for the most part so it was a bit hard for me to read, but the woman was very patient and helpful with me. We're visiting from California and we're in need of some good tacos. This location came up on my map and looked pretty authentic. Unfortunately it really wasn't all that great. We ordered tacos and they were cold when they came to our table and super greasy and the the tortillas were hard almost as if they were in the grill for a very long time. To start off, I got there about 50 mins before they closed which understandably isn't ideal but my friends and I needed a quick bite just to end the night right. After ordering, we sat down and waited for 30 minutes before finally going up there to check on what was taking so long (keep in mind, there was only one other customer in front of us and we were only a party of 3). Many people had already ordered and left and they had ordered way after us. The lady just says she'll check on my order and we see her walk up to the other lady who had originally wrote the order down and ask her about it. I'm assuming she had never actually placed it so we waited 30 minutes for nothing. On top of that, 10 more minutes to actually GET the food. By this time, it was already 2 am(the time they close). After 5 minutes, they turn off all the lights in the lobby while we had literally JUST got our food. When I went up there to ask them to turn it on because I could barely see the food right in front of me, they had the audacity to say "well we close at 2" without even making eye contact. I told her "well we literally just got our food like 5 minutes ago" to which she just turns around without acknowledging me and yells to the person in the back to turn the lights back on. Worst customer service ever. Not only were they untimely but they had the audacity to rush me in eating my food? Will never be back to this restaurant...I ordered a chicken quesadilla with rice and beans, and the chicken looked old. The rice had peas in it which l hate, and although the beans were fresh they had no flavor. Never have to put salt in my food because that is not my thing, but l did. The menu is primarily in Spanish, so if you don't know the language you're screwed because the cashier will mainly speak to you in Spanish. Oh, and the person preparing the food was not using any gloves. Was going to order the enchilada plate, however, they said if l wanted beef that it would be shredded with carrots inside. The place is a little dirty and old looking, however, they do have their "deceived" lunch crowd consisting mainly of mechanics that work around the corner. Next time if you guys want to experience "real" Mexican food, take the drive to Chuy's Mexican Restaurant which is located at: 5115 NE 28th Street Haltom City, TX 76117 (817) 222-0390 Their portions are much bigger, food has a lot of flavor, and the tortillas are homemade. Good, cheap, fast food. Definitely not up-scale, but the food was good and very reasonably priced. I got the ham & egg breakfast. It came with 4 corn tortillas, scrambled eggs, sliced ham (mixed in with the eggs), refried beans, and fries.. These were frozen french fries, not "home" fries or something of the like. All of that, plus a drink was cheaper than the last time I went to McDonald's for an Egg McMuffin breakfast meal. So, yeah, I'm a fan.. I also grabbed some of their Mexican Breads to take to work. The ones I liked best were the sugar-dusted donuts. Those were awesome! The other items I tried weren't "bad," but I was definitely reminded of how Mexican breads can "look" like breakfast pastries, but not have the expected sweetness. That's on me, though, not them. That's just how those things are made. Would I go back? Sure! I wish they were closer to my office, though. I would try to swing by there more often. read more

When you have that unfiltered, street taco craving, this is the spot in Arlington. They are open late and have so many different proteins like tripas, cabeza, barbacoa, chicharron, etc . My wife, fifteen year old son and I were visiting Arlington and were looking for something close to our hotel. I had checked Yelp for some recommendations on Mexican restaurants in the area and we decided to give Pancho Tacos a try. I knew from the reviews that it was no frills and featured authentic Mexican food. We arrived, ordered at the counter and sat down. We ordered chips and salsa, which we thought would come right away while the food was being prepared. Wrong. It arrived just before the food, and much to our surprise, the chips looked and tasted like they came out of a bag. Not fresh at all. The salsa was spicy and not bad, but to me, the chips ruined it. My son had the beef tacos and the meat was good, but lukewarm. My wife had the tacos as well, same temperature problem. I had the enchilada platter, which was just okay. The refried beans and rice were average at best (no better than any other place I had been). The enchiladas were also average. I've had better. I've had worse. The only thing I can say is that it was inexpensive. Three of us with drinks for $23.00. I think next time I will pay the extra and look for better. read more

Ordered some late night tacos from here tonight. Recently moved to Texas with my gf from Washington DC. And we've tried tacos from a few different spots. These by far were the tastiest. Service was also real good and fast. As soon as I walked in at 11pm on a Monday night, they were slammed, that was a good sign. The horchata was also made fresh and my gf approved it.
