My husband and I came here because I felt like Mexican for dinner and it wasn't far from our job that we had to do that night, we ordered two appetizer's the Mexican pizza which was HUGE and it tasted awesome!! then we ordered the combo appetizer that had nachos, chimichangas, and something else I can't remember lol, this was really good as well a lot of flavor from both apps, I ordered a pink lemonade it was good had a lot of alcohol, and then I had a Kiwi Margarita which was very tasty by the time we left I was feeling the alcohol lol, for dinner we both had two chimichangas and we both had one chicken and one pork. The apps were so enormous that we couldn't finish dinner so we got that to go, the only problem the menu was HUGE and it was hard to decide I kept dancing back and forth because it was so big it was really hard to decide....... They still deserve five stars the food and drinks were amazing they just need to knock their menu down a little keep it to two pages not four..... First visit to Pancho's was good. Food was excellent! Only complaint was the chips...seemed like they were right out of a bag. Too bad since the salsa was GREAT! Made reservations when my kids visited for Mother's Day weekend, since we we pleased with our first visit. Showed up on time only to discover that the staff had failed to look at the reservation book, and there was no empty table for our party of five. The staff stood around looking at each other like "what are we supposed to do?" No apology...just kept shrugging their shoulders. Finally I said "should we go somewhere else?" And the reply was "I guess so". WHAT?!?! Not the response I expected. Panchos is delicious. I always get the bean and cheese chimichanga which comes with guacamole and sour cream. They of course provide chips and salsa. Their blackberry margarita is also quite yummy. Definitely recommend this place, it always tastes so fresh and the staff is friendly. read more

Pancho's is my son-in-law and grand-daughter's favorite all time Mexican restaurant and they have traveled the world!! My grand-daughter tells every one about Pancho's, she is 13 and lives 3,000 miles away! She says it is the best Mexican restaurant in the world! LOL.. Well, we've now moved to Florence and I might have to agree with her.. We so MISS Pancho's! The Salsa is the best ever! I love their taco's, they have just the right amount of ground beef to toppings (toppings are important too) not to mention Pancho's tacos are NOT soggy, it will be crunchy to the last bite. My husband always got the super-burrito and it was always more than he could eat in one setting so we took half home for later. I miss Sophia, what an excellent waitress! As far as the atmosphere, it was pleasant and they play a light Mexican/Spanish salsa music but it was never too loud or intrusive. We love you and miss you Pancho's! We finally got to go to a restaurant and sit down for a meal. We are glad restaurants are opening up their dining rooms again. My wife had a shredded chicken taco salad that was very good. I had a combo dinner, 2 ground beef tacos, beans and rice. The tacos tasted like cardboard. The beans and rice were okay. A glass of Merlot tasted a little sour, so I ordered a Margarita. I summer in Smith River, California. I asked the 'locals' where the best Mexican food is, they told me Pancho's. Went there for dinner tonight, first time. We did have to wait quite awhile (waitress said, due to 'take out' orders). She kept us well supplied with chips and salsa, so it wasn't too bad. We got our food, it was hot and tasty! I have eaten many chile rellanos, but none as good as this one. The cheese!!! The cheese in the Chile Rellano was delicious, the chile was easy to cut, very well done. The chicken taco, crispy shell was good. Chicken was not very well seasoned and a bit dry, there was cilantro on it though and that's a plus! After reading all the positive reviews, we decided to try Pancho's. We have been hiking and camping, and were ready to splurge in a good meal. My boyfriend ordered the fish burrito and I ordered pork enchiladas. Unfortunately, this was the worst meal we have ever had at a restaurant. Our plates were definitely microwaved. Chewy and dry pork and seafood. Terrible sauces on both dishes. If you are at all into food and know good food, do NOT eat here. My friend and I started out with Margaritas, chips and salsa and then I ordered the vegetable burrito which is both huge and delicious filled with mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, pinto beans and smothered in a delicious green veggie sauce.i ordered a side of rice which was so good I could have licked the plate!! Horrible service, rude servers, couldn't even eat the food I ordered because they wouldn't correct my order without me paying for a new one. I have dietary restrictions that wouldn't allow me to eat the first order I received. The menu did not make it clear that their tamales are smothered in red sauce and melted cheese (I've never received tamales made in this way before). Either way, the way they handled this situation was unacceptable/humiliating. I highly recommend eating at any of the other Mexican food places in town. read more

I ate here today with a friend and we had a delightful and delicious meal. I had only been here once many years ago under different circumstances. My fish tacos, rice and beans were the best I've had in a Mexican restaurant. Our waitress couldn't have been friendlier and the chips and salsa disappeared fast and on the way out I bought a bottle of the salsa for the home. This place is deceptively big with three rooms and plenty of parking in back. I can hardly wait to give Pancho's another visit and try something else on their menu. After being turned away from using our gift certificate because management no longer takes older certificates I conversed with a friend of mine and she said that companies must honor these certificates due to a law that states they have give value for the certificate. I find it very depressing that they hoard their money instead of doing the professional thing and honoring money well spent to continue support for their business. I was hesitant about finding good Mexican food in Oregon as I'm from California and we literally have Mexican restaurants at every corner (kind of an exaggeration, but we have a ton). Anyways, I found this place on Yelp so I came here for lunch. First off, they give your free chips and salsa right as you sit down. The chips were nice and thin and crispy and fresh. And the salsa was sooooo good. They actually sell it! Which I'm bummed I forgot to buy some to take home with me. Ordered: Vegetarian fajitas I know it's such a simple dish, but it was so good! They served it with pinto beans and guac and I added some sour cream. The veggies were perfectly cooked (onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, and thinly sliced carrots). I also had them refill our salsa dish so I could put some of that yumminess on top of my tacos that I was making. Also, everyone was super friendly here! The food is very good here but the waitress we had was horrible. Marisol needs to go back to waitress school. We were there for late lunch and it was not busy. Marisol was our waitress and she constantly walked by us for several minutes without stopping to ask if we would like a drink with our chips and salsa. She did not deliver them as you get them when seated. Finally she stopped and took our order for drinks and food. We waited and still no drinks. Finally got our food and again had to ask for our drinks. The order was also messed up. We got our drinks, but never did she come by again until it was time to deliver the check. We went for happy hour. There was no puppy seating but no issues with bringing a service dog in. Staff is very friendly and professional. The clientele at the bar is highly entertaining so there is no need to watch whatever sports are playing on the bar TV. I have a new appreciation for Pancho's after having lunch today at La Flor de Mexico. Pancho's has always been our favorite, but it's temporarily closed Sundays due to staff shortages. Anyway, that other place doesn't hold a candle to Pancho's in any way. They charge double or more on Sundays for the same lunch combos we normally get at Pancho's for $7 (and they weren't nearly as good). Pancho's chips and salsa, food, and service are far superior to La Flor de Mexico. Next time we'll just wait for Pancho's to open and eat at home in the meantime! Just one suggestion for Pancho's: the Margaritas during Happy Hour are good and worth the price, but at non-Happy Hour times for full price, they need a boost--mas Tequila, por favor! read more

This is a really great restaurant, folks. I'm a Mexican food connoisseur. Have been my entire life. We're talkin' over half a century, Chester. And Pancho's serves some of the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. We--my girlfriend and I--usually eat early. Which is a good thing, because if you get there after 5, you'll be waiting to be seated. Chill. The wait will be worth it. The service is outstanding. The restaurant's atmosphere is pleasing and warm and inviting. The menu is varied and exciting. And the prices are very reasonable, the portions generous and scrumptious. It seems the notion of service has gone out with the dogs this day and age. You can see it everywhere. Once the recession hit, 90 percent of all businesses decided that customer service was expendable: they just want your money, and to heck with you! That isn't the case with Pancho's. The wait staff there is top shelf: prompt, courteous, clean, kind: they smile at you, listen to you, work to please you. Try their seafood combination burrito. If you don't melt with joy with the first bite, you need to have your taste buds examined, because something's seriously up with them. I dream about that burrito. Oh, yeah, one more thing. Their bathrooms are immaculate. Isn't it nice to eat at a restaurant where the facilities are actually kept clean? When was the last time you saw that happen? So. Must be the fact that there is just really good shellfish or seafood along the Oregon Coast. Had the Seafood Taco, sister had the Seafood Burrito, dad had the Scallop and Shrimp over Rice and tomato. all were very delicious. Portions were great and the servers were really nice to us. I think this may have to be one of my favorite mexican restaurants ever in my life. I know its a little much to say especially coming from SF, CA and having been to the Mission where its Mexican foods galore....this has taken a whole new level of Mexican Cuisine to a different level, and one with SEAFOOD!
