Panda was my go to place for Chinese until I realized I was a sushi addict. This place consistently serves AMAZING sushi. And I have had sushi from Sapporo and Monster Sushi in Millburn, places people RAVE about and I still think Panda's sushi is the best. The rice is always soft and sticky and the fish always tastes fresh! My go to favorites are Philadelphia roll and eel avocado but the Dragon Roll is phenomenal too! I would HIGHLY recommend this place! Their sushi is THE BEST! Oh and the reason for 4 stars is that it usually takes 45 minutes for the delivery during dinner hours. I ordered takeout at 7:22 on a Thursday evening. My food didn't arrive until 8:50, and the hotel I was staying at was only FOUR minutes away. Had I known it would have taken so long, I would have simply gone to pick it up myself. Additionally, when my food arrived, the order was totally wrong. I called and they asked what I wanted them to do. They stated that to send out the correct order, it would take quite awhile since there were other things that needed to be delivered in front of me. If you send the wrong food, you are supposed to correct the error RIGHT AWAY and make that the top priority! That's just Customer Service 101! I didn't want to eat my dinner at 10pm so I just asked them to refund my credit card. Always be suspicious of a take-out Asian restaurant that serves Japanese, Thai, AND Chinese. Ordered a lunch special, which cost about $1-2 more than I'm used to for a lunch special. I placed a big obnoxious order for my crew here and in 20 minutes I had heaping piles of delicious food. Now if you work in TV or film you know that pleasing a crew is like making 12 toddlers happy. This used to be my usual Chinese pick up spot. Hadn't been in awhile and decided to order tonight. We ordered chicken dumplings (steamed), chicken & broccoli, chicken fried rice, and house lo mein. What a disappointment. The food was, well, terrible. The chicken dumplings weren't fresh (but not old) and dry. Chicken and broccoli was ok; the chicken was low quality - almost an opaque color. There was nothing fried about the chicken fried rice, chicken was steamed, and the only veggies were carrots, peas and onions; not typical fried rice veggies. The house lo mein was the best part of the meal even though the noodles were overcooked and could of used more veggies and meat. The noodles were the highlight of the dish. Seems as though they've changed hands. There aren't too many good Chinese take out restaurants in this area. Hope the new owners see this and can turn things around. read more

Consistently good and speedy every time we've ordered here. The food has been great - probably the best Hot and Sour soup I've ever had. It's got a perfect balance of spicy and sweet with excellent consistency. For delivery or pick-up: orders done on time and have yet to have a mess up (rare when ordering food). Place is tiny and VERY dirty. Waited at the register, there was some guy at sushi bar playing on his phone, heard someone cooking behind the curtain in the kitchen. Decent. I ordered a Thai chicken curry. Chicken wasn't the best consistency and there were way too many onions. But the portion was generous and they had snap peas and mushrooms; some places skimp on the veggies, and they definitely didn't. White rice was also delicious and perfectly done. I placed an order for a large doctors office yesterday to be delivered today at noon. We are about 5 miles down the road from the restaurants location. As many offices we have an hour lunch that takes place between 12-1pm. 12:15 our food hasn't been delivered yet. I call to make sure everything is okay and I am assured that the food was on its way and it should be arriving in a couple minutes. 12:35 rolls around and I call again. I explain that we had placed the order the day before so we could have the food delivered the next day around noon because we have a window of time to eat in before we start seeing patients again. Our food finally arrived at 12:50. The food wasn't bad, however, one of us did find a hair in our meal. If you plan on ordering for delivery, call an hour before you actually plan on eating. Never ordering from here ever again now. Notice while typing this Yelp here says they're closed today, their website and ordering system, and Google, and previous menus all say they open at 12 today. I actually attempted to order online prior to 12 because I didn't notice what time it was (this is important I promise) and it gave me a notice saying they weren't open yet. THIS is when I'm told apparently they open at 1 on Sunday. (I am honestly the worst person to them on the the phone but I'm exhausted, this lunch is supposed to be special for my daughter and I. I want our damn food) I demand to not be charged as I have been waiting over an hour at this point from the original delivery time. 2 hours since I ordered. They then also tell me that now they don't have delivery currently and it would be another hour for that. NOPE. more yelling. And now some apparent confusion from me saying I WAS sending someone to pick up the food (because 1) not loading my daughter up in the cold and rain just to pick up food right now and 2) I would not be nice I'm being 100% honest) literally the only reason why I have someone waiting for the food to be made now even though I said it would be picked up is because it's less of a wait than ordering somewhere new. Their food is fresh and not greasy like other establishments. I am a vegetarian and I've enjoyed all their dishes so far. My family and I only order from here when we are in the mood for Chinese. Panda Asian is definitely one of the best take-out Chinese restaurants in the Summit area. We are regular customers here and are always impressed by their prices. Panda definitely has the best rice that I've gotten from a Chinese restaurant in the area in years. The staff is always very kind and always has orders ready right on time. Once in a while the scallion pancakes can taste a little dry but overall, we haven't really ever been dissatisfied with the food here. Great food, many vegan choices, lo mein is excellent and does not have a heavy oily taste that is found in too many Chinese restaurants. Really a take out restaurant which is fine. They deliver to all surrounding towns for a minimal $1 gas charge. Portions are generous, beef and pork dishes lean - not fatty - and the lo cal options are great.
