Been coming here for years - solo workaholic. Always get the same thing - General Tso's Combo platter - I have added Teriyaki Beef skewers from time to time despite the slight cultural distinction lol. But June 3, I underwent surgery that laid me up bedridden and weakened by malnutrition for weeks. I was starving - literally. Doc said to old College Boy here that I needed protein. Lee to the rescue! I'm here to tell you that not only was the food as delicious as always but the buckets of Egg Drop Soup shattered the cliche about Matzo Ball soup curing everything - it's EGS!!! And the delivery was done swiftly, efficiently and they even took a photo of the delivered chow and texted me. They have my great gratitude and appreciation. Under new ownership. They need to get the front of the house on order as they took a credit card order and never called or told us the card didn't process. Glad I had a credit card with me when I picked it up. Food was just as good and maybe even better than previous owners, who I heard went back to China for a few months and sold to this new family. read more

Open late, and fantastic food and service! What more could you want? The entrees are all fantastic, our favorites are the sesame chicken and the chicken and broccoli. But the star of the show are the dumplings and the dipping sauce that comes with it. I can't put my finger on what makes them so special, but the flavor is always there. I think this place is decent. Good price with big portion. They also gave us lots of meat. We ordered four seasons(chicken, pork, shrimp, beef with vege), beef chow fun, scallion pancake, and fried half chicken. They are all fine. My only complaint is the pork in the four seasons is salty. I'm reading some of the other reviews and they sound contrived and also inaccurate regarding the seating configuration. Its not a restaurant and has a couple of small tables near to the serving counter. It's mainly a modest take out service. Not only was the food expensive for a no frills type of place located far from prime location, but plenty of short cuts with the quality of the food. The chicken curry was mainly padded out with a heap of onion with a couple of small pieces of chicken. It was dry and totally tasteless. We recently had dinner delivered and with the exception of the Vegetable Lo Mein, the rest was inedible. The Orange Flavored Chicken came with tiny pieces of foil on the chicken which we needed to pick off before eating. We requested all white meat but got mostly breading, with very little chicken of any type. The broccoli with garlic was flavorless. And same for Pork Dumplings - no flavor all. I've been eating here since I moved to summit and after I moved back to hillside since summit as anyone who's lived there knows is quite pricy, I still go back to eat at Lees as they make take out Chinese food just the way I like it. After living in nyc for most of my life I was trying to find garlic sauce that in my opinion tastes like good garlic sauce. Well their chicken and broccoli or vegetables in garlic sauce is spectacular! Not sure what some reviewers here are expecting from a small take out joint but their food meets my standards which are pretty high. Their general tsos also tastes perfect to me. Consistently good food and service. My favorite is General Tso's made with tofu and they nail it! Never had an issue with ordering, taste or delivery. I've also picked up at their store and have no qualms with that either. They're solid. read more

Never ordering again! We have been regular customers until last night. Ordered food at 6:25. It arrived at 8:15. We called several times and they assured me it was on the way. I had a 2 year old waiting for his noodles and an infant I couldn't put to sleep because the dog would bark when it arrived. They hung up on us when we asked where it was. We were told, " we're busy" unacceptable. Honesty could have gone a long way and I would have fed my son if I had known it really wasn't on the way the first time I called.
