The food is here tasty but the wait time can be extremely awful. Every time I've gone through the drive-thru it's been about a 20-45 minute wait. We're either waiting on more food to be cooked or something else. They try to make it right by giving away a free egg roll or drink of choice. I suggest going in before the lunch/dinner time rush. This location is nasty. Dirty, pans are either empty or should be emptied in the trash, pans have dried residue. Floors and kitchen are dirty, staff is not friendly. I have given it two visits, both times I have left and gone somewhere else. I have visited other PE's and they are pretty good. Stay away from this one! The food used to be good when they first opened but it has gone downhill!! There are a couple of nice people left but everyone else acts like they hate their job. I have also seen some of the employees parking their cars in front row parking spots, leaving less for the customers. So I end up having to park further away to dine inside. The tables are always dirty and they seem to serve the line of customers EXTREMELY SLOW!!! I don't know about other people but I do not wish to wait 30 mins to get my food, then when I try to order they inform me that they are out of that product... I am absolutely done with this place. They have gone through so many employees and managers in the short time they have been open. Overall this is a good restaurant. The wait time in the drive thru is sometimes unreasonably long, but the employees are very friendly and there is good customer service. My biggest complaint would be the consistency of the food. Most of the time when I get the sweet-fire chicken or orange chicken it is way too soggy - leaving a pasty chewy batter surrounding the chicken, very unappetizing. Other times it is cooked perfect and crispy. It is so frequently soggy that I looked up the description of these entrees on the panda express website. Maybe they are not supposed to be crispy? Wrong. The description for both entrees describes the chicken as crispy. I wish they would stop serving soggy chicken. I don't care if I have to wait longer or something. I hate soggy chicken, I want it crispy. Also, they tend to randomly run out of ingredients. The other day they were out of fried rice AND chow mein. read more

This was possibly the worst food and customer service I've experienced in a while. The steamed rice I ordered was hard, as if it were undercooked, and the portions you get are pitiful. I've had problems with one of the worker's attitude in the past, and this time wasn't any different. Panda Express is usually a great place to eat, but this location is far worse than the others. read more

Fool me 6 times. Shame on...why the heck do I keep coming back to this place!???? I'm not lying when I say this place is the most poorly managed place in the whole shopping center. I have left at least 4 times without ever getting food and had to come back twice to get something fixed. I have backed out of line 3 times after not moving for 20 mins. Sunday I ordered "Orange Chicken". I waited 10 mins at the window and was asked to pull around because it wasn't cooked yet. This was at noon. I waited 10 mins in parking lot and then walked in as they were putting the chicken in the oil to fry. What? Then they were puzzled as to why I was in there. That's right, I paid for my food and then forgotten about in the parking lot. Really weird. These times are not exaggerations either. I would post the receipts but they took my original receipt that consequently had the "survey" on it and didn't give it back. The main reason I kept coming back was that I prefer rice to fried side foods and its handy to get in a drive thru. I won't be back ever. That was an absurd last straw. read more

The service here is too slow. I had placed a online order for pickup and decided to pick up my order in drive thru being they didn't seem very busy and it was 7pm. I asked the employee in the drive thru speaker if I could pick my order up there and she said that was fine and it would be ready. I continued to wait in drive thru for about 30 minutes or so until I got up to the window. She then forgot I was picking up a online order, so she said just a minute and left to prepare the food. It took another 10 minutes to get the order and leave. This is ridiculous. Ordering online should mean my order is ready for pickup. If she knew they were busy and slow then she should have directed me to pickup my order in the restaurant instead of drive thru. I will not be visiting here again. She didn't even apologize for the wait. The past 2 times I have went there prior to this the rangoons were burnt and the fried rice had clumps in it from not stirring it enough. I just can't recommend eating at this Panda Express restaurant. It is not worth the hassle and the food isn't worth the price. However I do recommend Hong Kong Taste in Clanton, AL. They prepare the food right in front of you, are very quick and the food is high quality and tasty. Also the prices are cheaper! read more

My husband and I went to the Alabaster Panda Express for dinner last night. We both wanted to wash our hands first and there was no soap in the bathroom, as in the entire dispenser was ripped off the wall and there wasn't anything to replace it. We tried to ask an employee but they never acknowledged us so we walked out. If I can't wash my hands, who is to say that the employees do either and I wasn't in the mood for orange chicken with a side of E. coli. I called today and asked to speak to a manager about it and when I told her what had happened, she blew me off saying that it wasn't possible. Very disappointed and I'm even on the fence about calling the health department because that seems like a gross violation to me. read more

I order my meal today for the first time ever at a Panda Express. I placed my order through the online app that I downloaded since it's a new store n being packed bc of being a new store. When I was placing my order there wasn't a button to push saying you wanted a cup of H-N-S soup so I couldn't get that with my order using the app. When I went to pick it up n brought it home the low mein noddles were burnt and not low mein noddles they were angel hair noodles or even thin spaghetti noodles. The sweet fire chicken was ok but looked and tasted like a already frozen chicken piece n was hard from over frying. My wife's walnut shrimp was ok but nothing to write home about. Needless to say I can order from the local Chinese restaurant that delivers, gets more food, better quality food, and cheaper price then eat here and just be disappointed. read more

The food was edible, but far from being good. They were out of fried rice, so I tried the chow mein- it was very dry and lacked flavor. The orange chicken, cheese rangoon, and sweet and sour sauce all had a strange taste to them. Total joke. They dumped a ton of coupons all over the shopping center when they opened. I tried it out one night to see how it was. The entree is about 80% rice with a small amount of actual "entree". I went through the drive thru and had to pull to other side, where there was a second line, to wait on someone to actually bring me the food. Gotta keep those wait times down, as far as the censors are concerned, right? Staff is mostly children, which I guess is to be expected. In closing, having a drive thru is not a convenience if you wait 10 minutes for some confused kid to wonder out into the parking lot with your food; and don't call it an entree if it's a bucket of rice with a greasy, sauce-soaked chicken nugget on the side. read more

I hated my visit to your store. I sat in line for 36 minutes. There were only 2 cars ahead of me when I pulled in. All I ordered was 8 spring rolls. By the time I got them they were cold as hell. At first, they were good, but now? Not so much. A few of the staff members are unprofessional, rude. Their bathroom is never working, im not sure how employees wash their hamds sinch the sunk is out too.they are always out of more than one item when i come there, and the place is dirty. We will not be back. Every time we go they are out of food. I called headquarters during the holidays and complained. It didn't do any good. So I thought I would try this avenue. I am not under the impression that this is an actual Chinese restaurant. I understand it is a fast food chain. With that in mind my wife and I visited this establishment in alabaster and placed our orders. First issue is the wait for our food was nearly 15 min. Second issue was when I asked for my Chow Mein with no vegetables the lady quite rudely said "Um we're not gonna be able to do that". This in fact order I have had numerous other Panda Express carry out with no issue whatsoever. It really wasn't the fact that the employee refused to make my order as much as the attitude she had as if I had just asked her to rewrite the entire menu. Third issue was when I did receive the order half of the food was Luke warm at best and not very appetizing. I suggest not visiting this establishment as I will not be back after such rude service for overpriced microwaved food. If it was possible I would give this place a 0 star. read more

DONT GO HERE. tonight was the final straw for my husband and me. we have been here four times and were only happy with our experience the first time. they've been out of brown rice and teriyaki chicken 3 out of the 4 times we've been there. my husband likes the teriyaki chicken and ordered it the last time we were there. only after he ordered and paid did they notice that they were out so they told him he would have to wait for more to be cooked. after waiting for 25 minutes, he approached the counter only to realize that they had forgotten about him completely. no one apologized or offered him anything complementary. customer service is non-existent. the cashier didn't even talk to us or look at us once when she rung us up. the line is always long but it's always because employees are chatting behind the counter- usually bickering with each other and being overwhelmed. the food is not worth the price either. it usually tastes burnt and it's mostly rice anyway. there's a Chinese place around the corner not far from here and we will definitely be going there instead from now on. you get way more bang for your buck (less rice, more meat- same price) and way better customer service. read more
