We got the 2 item plate with Pepper Steak & Beijing Beef & and Honey Walnut Shrimp & Beijing Beef with half fried rice and half noodles. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was not crispy at all. It's one of my favorites so it was a let down. The Beijing Beef was okay. The noodles had more veggies than noodles. Overall experience was okay. read more

If this were not at the airport, I'd probably give it two stars but because the price and quantity is decent for airport food, it gets an extra star! I'd say the portion size is a bit smaller than the average non-airport Panda Express (granted, I actually have not gone to many since I prefer mom-and-pop Chinese food spots) but it was $11+tax for a two-entree combo. I got the super greens as my side (quite salty and a bit undercooked), kung pao chicken (stingy on the chicken and also a bit salty but plenty of peanuts!), and teriyaki chicken (more subtle flavor and very juicy and tender). My friend got the chow mein with beef with broccoli (very little beef) and orange chicken (crunchy!). It's not amazing food but it's satisfying enough for the airport and service was quick. They had a whole bunch of staff around lunchtime so the line moved fast, although the cashier seemed new and typed in the wrong, more expensive dish for me at first so I had to correct her. It's right near security so it's easy to eat in the small dining area then head to your gate. read more

Worst Panda Express. No steam rice, no super greens, no beef with broccoli. Chow mein was more onions than noodles. Fried rice was uncooked and hard. Ordered a small side of teriyaki chicken, they barely filled the container. Panda Express is pretty consistent wherever we go, but not in Albuquerque. Plus servers looked like they hated it there. Here at the Albuquerque Sunport with a 3 hour flight delay and we ordered our food. Spirit Airlines offered us food vouchers for the delay so we wanted to apply it to our orders. I was the first in line to pay and the cashier said that she couldn't take the electronic voucher but she'd try. She did and it 'didn't work'. She then said that she could take paper vouchers. We'd have to go through TSA again to go to their counter to get those. Thankfully, a kind airport worker helped us and went to Spirit himself and got those vouchers for us. It was a walk for him so we were most grateful. After 30 minutes, he came back with the vouchers and we went back to Panda Express to get our food. The owner of this franchise refused the vouchers. Seriously?!! Wow. No good karma will come to you for doing that sir. I understand that business is business but all The other food services accepted the vouchers. Thank you so so much to the Airport worker who got our vouchers AND ended up paying for our entire order. Bless your heart. And thank you to Comida Buena food establishment 2 slots down for taking our vouchers and for feeding us. I know this is an airport restaurant but I still expected more. I came here with friends and they didn't give us the full normal portions, the orange chicken tasted strange, and we didn't get fortune cookies. The mixed greens, chow mein, and broccoli and beef were the redeeming factors of our meal. All in all I would suggest getting different airport food. read more

My first time ever at a Panda Express and I can say this place is alright. The sunport doesn't have a bunch of food options and a lot of them were weirdly closed ,so Panda Express was the next best option .I got the Bowl with Noodles and Kung pow chicken . The food as expected was spicy and I loved that and it was a reasonable amount for the price. The service was good and there were just two folks managing a bunch of customers and were both smiling and chatting with customers, even with the non stop crowds. Stuck in the airport for a few hears, the airline offered us a food voucher to use. Looking for healthier food options that gives you more bang for your buck is really difficult to do at an airport. I decided to go with Panda Express and get some chicken with vegetables. Portion was decent and taste is what you would expect from your average fast-food chain. I've been to various restaurants of this chain but rarely eat them anymore. Heavy on the sauce and sodium, I was only able to eat this in portions. I usually devour a whole meal of something in one sitting. Staff was friendly and helpful and service was quick. One of the better options for airport food since you can modify and choose your protein and carb option. read more

If you know me, I'm sure you've heard me rave about Panda. It is one of my favorite fast food places. I don't care how fast, cheap, or fake it is. Give me a bathtub full of their chow mein noodles and orange chicken and I'll switch from showers to baths in a second! My love for this place stems from not having Panda in Kentucky until the past few years. The only time I would have it as a child is when visiting Kings Island in Cincinnati, Ohio. The bad news about the ones in KY is that they've declined in quality since coming here so when I have the opportunity to try one elsewhere and everything is fresh... LOVE. They have a few tasty things and quite a few things that are disgusting. All you need to order here is chow mein noodles and double orange chicken. Don't forget to add spring rolls to the mix! Now that it's close by, I don't have it nearly enough. One thing is for sure... one taste or whiff of that orange sauce and I'm sold every single time. read more

Standard Panda Express stand - can't go wrong with FRESH orange chicken. Anything that's been sitting in the pan for awhile looses it's wok-fried texture. But if you're looking for a quick decent meal, I recommend the chowmein bowl with one entree. Easy to take onto the plane when you're in a jiff. read more

It's been a long flight and was looking for a place to eat. Haven't had rice in hours and my inner Asian was in need in need of rice. I decided to get half chow mein/fried rice with orange chicken and walnut shrimp. The food was fresh and hot. I always love walnut shrimp. The walnut shrimp here is pretty decent for a fast food quick fix. Customer service was good. I don't remember his name but he was the cashier and was friendly. The Albuquerque Airport food court is a pretty lonely place. A sandwich shop here, a salad place there, or something else stereotypically American, disgusting, and uninteresting. With this this selection, Panda Express is, in my opinion, the only way to go. Sure it's cheap Chinese fast food that's pretty much a disgrace to real Chinese cooking, but it's a lot better than what the other places offer. When I came, most of the trays were either half full or less. Don't be put off by this. Just tell them what you want, and they'll cook up a fresh batch for you right away. Rey Jimenez, who was working behind the counter at the time, hooked it up big time by making me a fresh batch of surprisingly pretty good walnut prawns. His attitude was very down to earth and welcoming. I'd say he provided the best customer service I've ever gotten at a Panda Express. I know I definitely wouldn't be that upbeat if my job was serving people Kung Pao Chicken and Chow Mien every single day. Props to Rey for maintaining a positive attitude and making my journey back to San Diego that much better. The food quality wasn't too bad at all. Good tasty batch of chow mien, some walnut prawns, fresh brocolli beef, and you're set to go. Don't waste money on a bottled water and just ask them for a free cup. There were several serving containers empty and four cooks standing around without doing anything. The girl behind the counter did not seem to understand English very well and got my order wrong. It has been an unusual travel week. Between Amtrak, planes and rental cars, there has been plenty of ground covered. In my travels, I have had the opportunity to experience Panda Express at both Albuquerque and Denver airport. While this was certainly not something I planned, it seemed to be fortuitous in my review experience...and I was greatly motivated by the firecracker chicken I experienced in Albuquerque. As expressed in other reviews, it is standard Panda Express...and when the orange chicken is fresh, you cannot go wrong. At Albuquerque's airport location, in combining the chow mein, orange chicken and firecracker chicken, I was anticipating tangy sweet and snappy hot. Probably the biggest disappointment was being handed a styrobox of food with spots that are hot and other spots that are not. At the gate, I found a spot to settle and eat. The firecracker chicken was, hands down, the hit of the meal. With red and yellow pepper, onion, chili, chicken and sauce, the only thing missing was significant spice from chili. What I anticipated as a 5 on a scale of 10 actually came out as a 3. Thank goodness for sriracha. After I enjoyed the firecracker chicken, I attempted to find pleasure in the chow mein. The noodles were chewy, a bit dry and with a large amount of celery. This was certainly a presentation that had time to sit under the warming lights. After 3 forkfuls, I abandoned the chow mein and started on the orange chicken. This, too, was a victim of sitting too long under the heat lamps. The breading had dried out to a crunchy consistency on several pieces. For the time spent and the investment made, I derived pleasure from the firecracker chicken. Service was quick and the facility was clean, so here's to 3 stars. read more

I'll be honest, I don't care for Panda Express. I had a roommate who worked at a Panda Express and would always bring home boxes and boxes of leftover Orange Chicken. It was ridiculous. I think I may have actually gone the whole semester eating only Orange Chicken. Hence my lack of desire to eat at Panda Express ever again. The other options at the airport seemed so blah that we decided to eat here. Plus I hadn't had white rice in quite a while. Trying to cut back on carbs and all. Got Orange Chicken and .... something. I don't remember anymore. I ordered two things that I thought would be the freshest due to high demand from other customers. I will admit it tasted pretty good, and most of the food sitting in the prep pans actually seemed fairly freshly made. Good job, Panda! read more

I walked up and they were out of Beef and Broccoli. I asked how long until they had some. They asked the cook, and he said about ten minutes. I said okay, I will wait. I stood there on the side in line and let others go ahead of me while I waited ten minutes. After ten minutes, I asked how long on the beef and broccoli. They asked the cook, and he had not put any down to cook. So, he said it would be ten minutes. I said to him and the associates behind the counter that that was what he said ten minutes ago and then he never put any down. I also heard a customer ask for egg rolls, and they were out of them. So, obviously there was no one calling down the food they needed for the front line and clearly no one managing that place. No one apologized for the delay or the lack of caring. In an airport you expect a sense of urgency but not with employee Maribel! I was in crew uniform and stood at counter while she (seeing me) continued wiping trays not acknowledging me. Two men walk up an start asking questions and start to order. So I spoke up and looked her in the eye and said "I know you know I was here first"....so at the register I had to ask for my airline employee discount after she completed ringing me up... which is usually automatically deducted. This was the worst Panda Express experience on January 5 at the airport location. We ordered chow mien noodles. We opened the box and they were burned and crunchy. Seriously?! I took the box back and the cashier, who was very nice, told me more was being made and it would be about 5-7 minutes. We got the new noodles, not burned, but they had ABSOLUTELY no flavor with no cabbage what so ever!! I had to ask for teriyaki sauce to drench the noodles. What a waste of my money! I told the cashier the chow mien was horrible and she smiled and said "I know". Management needs to taste and review what the employees are cooking! read more

Panda express continues in its decline of quality products. If they added any more cabbage and celery to its "lo mein" they can call it cabbage slaw. I even asked if I ordered for catering if I could have it with less cabbage and was told no that everything was pre measured...just leave it out I offered...no then it wouldn't be cabbage slaw was the reply! read more
