Great service, astonishingly terrible food. I've never had Panda Express this bad before. I'm perplexed.

Average Panda Express experience. This location is close by the Best Western in Brighton. We were staying at the Hotel so we decided to walk over to get some dinner. When you walk in you decide if you want a bowl(one entree and one side), a plate (two entrees and one side) or a bigger plate (two entreez and two sides). The sides are lo mein, fried rice, steamed veggies and brown or white rice. They also offer wonton, egg rolls, spring rolls. After reviewing the menu choices I decided on a bowl. I chose fried rice and honey walnut shrimp. There is an extra charge for the shrimp as it's a 'premium' item. I also ordered some wonton. My meal was hot and yummy! I always like Panda, and am glad this was a typical panda experience. read more

First visit was last night, and I tried asking for my daughter's teriyaki chicken to be cut in small pieces. Apparently, the language barrier was too much for this ask. When asked if I wanted extra chicken, I tried my best to explain clearly that I simply wanted the chicken cut into smaller pieces. I got extra chicken in extra large pieces. Also, my walnut shrimp was soggy and bland, and we didn't get fortune cookies with our order. Tonight, I kept the order simpler. I was told at the window after ordering the walnut shrimp that they were out. At 7:30. So I ordered fried rice and orange chicken for my daughter and a 2-entree combo fried rice and chow mien with orange chicken and Beijing beef. I was told to pull around front and had to sit there for 10 minutes until my order was brought out. I go to 4 different Panda Expresses frequently where I live and have never had sub-par experiences like I had back to back at this location. read more

We went in for lunch, and the tables had not been wiped down. They had a leak at the soda machine, and it led all the way to the restrooms. Yet an associate was sitting on the counter right by what looked like the drive-thru area???? That is hygienic by no one's standards. I don't know if the employees just don't care or if they need better management, but someone needs to step up their game! read more

Portion size is VERY small. Manager is rude and will very disrespectful. When asking if I could get more chicken when I order the sweet fire chicken (there as 3 pieces of chicken), she told me that is there portions. They will not change there size or what they give you once it's on the plate. There was no one in the building besides me and the 3 workers. We stopped here because it was accross the street from our hotel. We ordered oue food to go. I got the bowl size. I ordered the Beijing beef and fried rice. I also ordered 2 spring rolls. My entre was sweet and spicy. This came with a generous amount of fried rice leaving not much room for the spring rolls. This meal was just what I needed after a long day of traveling. read more

Skip this location and go to the one over on the east side of Brighton. I have given them far more chances than they deserve, but this last visit was the last visit. Normally there are just kids working there, very hard but they don't last. The regular crew only behave when the boss is there. That I've only seen once. Boss or not, there is ALWAYS something wrong with orders. On this visit one of the girls behind the serving counter yelled across the restaurant to the "manager on duty" (also a kid) that she: "Had To take a shit!" All the customers just loved hearing that from the person who was serving up their food. And she cracked her self up so much, she did it again just to make sure everyone knew that she did in fact, have to take a shit. Then on to my food: The LABEL was still on the yellow pepper in my dish (see photo) which any logical human would conclude means the vegetables were not washed. Grody. I wasn't sure what rating to give this Panda Express. I've been coming here for the last 6-8 months. I have had some good experiences and some crappy experiences. Let's start with location. It is near a McDonald's, Village Inn and strip Mall that has a Big Lots and Harbor Freight. This establishment has a drive-thru, the only one I have seen for Panda Express. It seems to have decent hours before the pandemic and even during it. Drive-thru is the best option. I have also witnessed UberEats and GrubHub drivers coming here. The customer service is good too, I've rarely had to wait at any given time. The not so good: listening skills of the person taking the orders. I don't do napkins. It is completely wasteful!! Ever noticed how many you get from any place? Watch next time. I always say "NO NAPKINS, NO EXTRAS". Same with condiments, unless I ask for them. So no soy sauce, duck sauce or fortune cookie. No napkins either. Then there is the bigger issue of running out of items on the menu. This had occurred several times (4-5) since I started coming here. The worst thing you can do as a business is to overpromise and underdeliver. Well they certainly did that!! I'm not sure how you can advertise specific entrees and then run out of those entrees many times. The teriyaki chicken and the honey walnut shrimp are my favorites. They seem to run out regularly. I'd say if I went 4-6 times a month, they ran out 2-3 of those times. Another positive is low cost. A negative is portion size tends to be on the small size. This location asks if you want to donate to a non-profit. I think it is a hospital. The best thing is the drive-thru, the worst is running out of product. So I think 3 out of 5 stars is a reasonable recommendation. read more

11-6-23 Went to grab dinner around 5:30. Friendly staff and the food was some of the best I have ever had at a Panda Express!! I had to wait on Beef and Broccoli but it was so worth it very good! Fresh egg rolls very tasty! Only complaint I have the chow mein noodles were a little too dry for me but still good. Overall great meal! Will definitely be back! read more

Panda Express - Double orange chicken missing the chow mein - Chinese Near Me - Brighton, Colorado

Tried to order on the app at about 8:31PM. It failed to work so I walked in the store. They said they don't take online orders after 8:30 PM. I asked for the 12 pack of Rangoons that I saw online for about eight dollars. The girl behind the counter said they only do nine. I looked over at their bowl, which appeared to have about nine Rangoons in it. I said, "is this because there's only nine in the bowl?" She answered affirmatively. Apparently they don't make anything fresh after 8:30 PM. You get what you see. So, I ordered the three item big plate. half and half noodles/rice. I ordered two orders of orange chicken and one order of teriyaki chicken. I asked for the teriyaki chicken sauce on the side. The girl tells me they don't have any teriyaki chicken sauce. I made haste out of that store and will never return again. Also, they pretty much had no noodles left. It was the bottom of the barrel as far as I could see the and chicken teriyaki was all in a bowl with some sort of liquid. It was the last portion of chicken teriyaki too. This Panda sucks! I came here last night at 9:20pm (they close at 10pm) the doors were locked! But we were told just the inside was locked however the drive thru was open til 10, sooooo we get back in our car and go to the drive thru. The menu was extremely limited, as I'm guessing they were cleaning up for the night already. With 40 minutes til closing, about 75% of the menu wasn't available. This is the very last time we come to this Panda. Very disappointing. These workers are clearly lazy, I'm sure they closed the doors and stopped cooking an hour before closing. I always stop and enjoy Panda but unfortunately the worse thing happen food poisoning from Panda in Brighton Co. On 01/02/20 between 2pm and 3pm I ordered from drive through a plate of kung pao chicken & Mushroom Chicken couple hours later it got me throwing up all night and using the restroom nonstop. ER determined it was food poisoning from Panda Express chicken. read more

The service in this location is absolutely horrible. 5 o'clock on a Sunday afternoon and there are 12 cars in line at the drive-thru and it took over 30 minutes (update it ended up being 42 minutes after we paid until we got our food) to get food going inside. They have two cooks and aren't able to even keep up with the lines. What a joke, mediocre Chinese food and completely horrible service. You are better off going to the greasy Chinese buffet about a mile away, this location is an absolute joke. read more

I have had it with panda -Done attempting . I'll stick to calling ahead and 4 times the amount of food at a real restaurant for the same price Crazy Skimpy portions - dehydrated meats, and unflavored veggies. Stopped through the drive thru (even knowing they get skimpier with the portions but I was in a hurry and hungry). I ordered my meal. One item they said would take a additional 5 minutes. I said "ok then I think I'll switch it to something else. Is the beef and broccoli made without wait ? ". He said yes. --"Cool I'll get that". Pull up and still had to pull to the front to wait for another item. Even though I clearly changed my desired option to not wait. Ok so I'm over it. He didn't give me my dollar change back he gave me the cents . Pulled up front - waited for 12 minutes! No one brought the food out. I went in and waited 2 minutes for them to locate the bag and hand it to me . Then to feel even more ripped off - there was 5 Tiny slivers of beef w/my 4 pcs broccoli. I was considering re-trying this location tonight after a bad experience a couple weeks ago. I just read all the comments and have changed my mind... it seems the experience I had resembles the comments to closely. I was there and chose to go inside where at 7 pm there was very little left to sell. I chose the chicken mushroom entree with fresh veggies. Sadly they were out of veggies, at 7 pm. I waited trying to decide... the folks behind the counter who promised they would be there in a minute took forever. When they finally decided to help they took orders from the back of the line. I had been waiting patiently for about 10 mins. I quietly left and swore to myself I would never return. I'm glad I checked the hours and saw the reviews. Prairie View Center is close enough if I have to have PE! We drove over 20 minutes to get here because it's the closest Panda to our house, never again! The girl serving us forgot part of our order and once we got home the food was undercooked. My rating isn't based off of the food, the food is pretty good. However, the customer service I got from them last night was AWFUL. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by an employee. I'm disgusted with how they acted towards me. I called in an order and they took it but then continuously threw it in my face that they don't "usually" take call in orders and were very rude and snotty. Once again disappointing. We gave this place another try because Panda Express reaches out to us,we came today and it was worst then the last! This young man working in front had been left alone at one point to serve customers while everyone huddled around in a corner to talk and left someone in drive thru and 3 others in line. The "boss" was very rude to his employees and was slamming food on the counter when it was ready. I stopped by panda express tonight. I decided to go in and see what food they had. While I was waiting for someone to help me, another car pulled up to the drive-through. The person working the drive-through butted in front of the person helping me and filled their order, even though I entered the store before anyone was at the drive-through. My first review was that this is an ok location, my second review was a server sneezing and not washing his hands before serving food, now this is my third review. I was there about a month ago on a Wednesday. They were out of white rice ( a staple for Chinese food) and then they were low on string beans which the manager refused to use to make the string bean chicken that my wife wanted because he wanted to use them for the upcharge steak dish that uses the string beans. This is just unacceptable. Sorry we have the item to make the dish you want, but we won't make it for you because we want to make an extra buck on the other dish. My family has been eating at the Cherng restaurants since the first Panda Inn opened in Pasadena California in the 70's and we have never seen this happen before. That is 45 years of loyalty to the Cherng family restaurants. Well this location won't get our business ever again. Okay, one Panda Express is pretty much like every other. The food is generally decent, so you're not taking much of a risk at whichever Panda Express you visit. That said, I'm giving THIS Panda Express two demerits, and the chain two more half-demerits. DEMERIT: When asked if they have hot tea, the correct answer should have been, "No." I was handed a cold drink cup and directed to the cold drink bar. DEMERIT: Clearly, the steam table is below the correct temperature. My broccoli beef was tepid. HALF demerit: Though marked with a symbol on the menu board, I was surprised by the surcharge for my "premium" entree. The server made no comment; neither did the identifying sign above it. HALF demerit: Chow Mein (crispy noodles) and Lo Men (soft noodles) are NOT interchangeable. I prefer Lo Men, but Panda Express CONSISTENTLY mis-identifies it. Will I return in the near future? Dubious. There are too many better alternatives. read more

Consider renaming this location because for being a fast food chain, it's far from. I purposely ordered in the drive through to get my food faster but they had me pull up and park because my chicken was taking a little longer to cook. Nope, it was a "little bit" of a wait. I waited 20 minutes in my car before I got out to check if my food was done and they proceeded to tell me it would be an extra 20 minutes. That's practically a wait time at a restaurant. What kind of customer service is this? I paid for my meal and they hesitated to give me a refund. They called in a manager, who then took an additional 10 minutes to get my refund because he wanted to intervene with his employees. Such inconsideration for your customers. Food is decent like at any panda you may have been to. The servings are large and the service is fast. Fills you up and makes a good and quick meal when you are on the go or want something fast. Overall i cant complain about it besides the pot hole filled parking lot but thats pretty much the norm for anywhere you,go in brighton. Colorado should use the extra marijuana revenue to fix their streets what a joke. read more

The Brighton location is awful, we LOVE Panda Express and my 11 year old daughter has started a new tradition (Panda Tuesday's), with our busy work schedule & her busy school/sports schedule Panda works out great for us and beats the fast food burgers BUT the Brighton location needs help!... We have given this location chance after chance but always fails and this is our home store as we only live a few blocks away but would rather travel to another location to purchase dinner! We place a small order (1 two entrée plate, 1 three entrée plate & 3 orders of Spring rolls) in the drive thru at 5:25pm on a Wednesday evening, pulled forward, paid and asked the cashier if it was possible to get a few extra soy sauce packets and were told to pull around to the front door and the order would be taken out to us (eyes rolling from the worker). We pulled around front and there were already 2 cars waiting for orders... we waited ... and waited.... (1 of the 2 cars that were waiting before us actually went in to get her order as she was upset she had been waiting to long) waited some more as more cars went through the drive thru to be told to pull around, there weren't many parking spaces left to park! Finally a young gal came out with our order at 5:55pm (YES 35 minutes later) and when I looked in the bag after waiting so long to get the order it was missing the spring rolls! The young gal apologized went in and came back out with the rolls about 5 minutes later... Seriously the time waiting was unreal! When I got home I realized there was no soy sauce to top things off! I tried calling the location several times once I got home to speak to a manager but the phone just rang each time. Tried again this morning to call and again no answer! Please note this isn't the 1st time this has happened this store is lacking management and needs to hire someone to take charge! All other Panda's we visit seem to run in a different way! read more
