Some cruel twist of fate has decided that you should go to this corporate perversion of a Chinese restaurant instead of the local Mom & Pop hole in the wall. The fates are cruel, but you're here now. Avoid the beef, but the chicken is passable. Side dishes are actually pretty good. Service is very slow as soon as it gets busy, but an absolute breeze when it's not. If I was to give it a grade. It's the C-student of food. It passes, technically, but do not anticipate being impressed in any way. read more

This is a chain fast food chinese place with the food prepared and placed on steam tables. The person behind the counter gets you a tray and loads up on the stuff that you ask for as you go down the line. Several menu choices greet you including Beijing Beef, and Orange Chicken, which I tried on this trip. The beef was quick fried and doused in a pretty sweet sauce (with a tiny bit of heat) and the chicken was very sweet with a somewhat orangey sauce. I had fairly bland fried rice and sweet fruit tea, but there are also Pepsi fountain drinks. The space is quite pleasant with booths and tables and large open windows. There were plenty of people there both eating in and getting takeout. This is not gourmet and not really authentic at all, but most Chinese food in this country has been adapted to suit American tastes, and this holds true here. I liked the atmosphere and the food enough to come back again when I needed a quick bite to eat for not much money. read more

My wife and I come here usually once a week, and it's been inconsistent. Seems to be a timing issue, as the menu options are usually either fresh or not so much, or not in stock or plenty in stock. The customer service is good more often than not, but I do feel a bit "herded" when I order sometimes depending on who the staff is for that day as the layout design is similar to a Chipotle joint and some workers are clearly better than others. The restaurant itself has a nice Asian-inspired interior and the booths are comfy. Other than the consistency with the food, it's a nice place. Pricing is a bit more expensive than Gold Star Chili up the way, but it's understandable when the food is fresh and you do get a lot for your money. Quiet atmosphere, nice bathrooms too. Drink machine is solid. I personally like the Black Pepper Chicken, egg rolls and Broccoli Beef. Occasionally I'll splurge on the Shanghai Angus Steak, but it's a bit too spicy for me. So this was my first time having Panda Express in Cincinnati. The first time I ever tried it was in Indianapolis a couple years ago. With that being said, was excited because I loved it when I first tried it. When I arrived I had an order for myself and two others. They barely had any food out and had to cook everything. My wait was at l east 30 minutes, there were at least 5 different people who came in after me and left before me. Even with all that most of the staff was still friendly, and even gave me a drink and an egg roll. But seriously this place really need to step it up. Every time that I either eat in or carry out, the staff is always very helpful. They let me sample any dish before I purchase and always help direct me in which way to order to get the beat for my buck. If the wait is too long due to them having to cook more of an item they will give me an egg roll or drink to make up for it. They will cook items fresh as needed. read more

The chow main was without any flavor, tough to chew, completely dry and lacking any sauce or broth to make it edible. The Shanghai Angus Steak entree was an incredibly small serving, four small pieces of steak and a few green beans, but although reasonably tender, it was without a robust taste. I've been to this Panda Express many times over the last several years since they opened. They used to be much better. The last few times I have visited, they were out of many of the dishes. Tonight the honey walnut chicken was not hot at all and they were completely out of the teriyaki sauce. They said they would have more sauce tomorrow. Against my better judgement, I went ahead and purchased a two entree meal. They gave me an extra large portion of the fried rice, but very small portions of the shrimp and chicken. Without the teriyaki sauce, the meal was bland and tasteless. I don't think I will be craving Panda again for quite some time. Sad to see this place go downhill. The Westside needs a good Chinese restaurant. Also, they failed to give me a receipt, so I couldn't even call the hotline and give feedback. read more

After looking this place up on the map on the Yelp app it was not quite where the map said, this was in a shopping center a little ways East of where the map had it, but there were no other ones that I saw down that way. My wife and I came here after a day at the zoo so we were pretty hungry. We got there and my wife began first and started going through the line getting her food. I went right behind her, got some chow mein, then some Beijing Beef. The woman behind the counter finished up my wife's box and as she grabbed my box the other woman behind the counter, who was helping the man behind me in line, went around and put the last of the orange chicken in his box... So now, my wife's food is done and I'm forced to wait because the person who got there after me got the last of the food I wanted... I informed the woman, Kelsey, that I was in line first and she simply said "Oh, I didn't know you wanted that." Really? No sorry? No nothing? Forget it. We paid for my wife's food and left, way to kill my appetite. Maybe I'm overreacting, but there's an order and a line for a reason. That reason. No I do not want to wait another 10 minutes while you cook food while my wife's food gets cold. read more

I would like to comment on the EXCELLENT customer service an professionalism of Alex, Alexis and Ciariah. We have been to many Panda Expresses, but the way they handled the order process, the plating and the checkout was the best we ever had. The orders were correct and they gave proper amounts...not too much, not too little. We felt we received a good value for our money. Alex and Alexis worked well as a team and made us feel at home Ciariah's smile and positive attitude made us happy too. These are great representatives and you do not find people like this every day at Panda. I want to make sure they are complimented. read more

Had Spring Rolls (burnt), Egg Roll (looked like and tasted like a dog turd), Chop Suey (Chop Ewwww-y), Fried rice (rubber eggs with peas and carrots), Orange chicken with bacon (I love bacon but that was just plane rancid and dry like the desert, even with all the pasty goo they call sauce), Sweet fire chicken (ranked highest on our tastings at zero) and Walnut Shrimp (can not even describe the flavor since I spit it out before I had to barf it up!). The only reason that this is getting 3 stars is because of the customer service. The two young women who waited on us were very nice and seemed to genuinely want us to have a good experience. The orange chicken wasn't half bad, but the fried rice was extremely bland and difficult to swallow. The cream cheese Rangoon were okay -- nothing special.
