This is our third time since the Virus challenges started. The service the first time was pretty bad, no one was allowed in the store, understandably. Order was almost 30 minutes late and one item was missing, which I caught. Now after two more visits service has far from improved, again twenty to thirty minutes to pick up and again both times the orders were short. In fact the second visit my order was given to someone else who walked off worth it and them realized it wasn't theirs. I ordered chow mein broccoli beef and chicken green beans, the chow mein was missing something, broccoli beef the broccoli was way overcooked and huge pieces and no sauce sticking to any of it not even the meat. Same thing with the chicken green bean the green beans were way overcooked the chicken was pieces that should have been thrown out and no sauce sticking to it either the sauce that was in the walk was runny the meats weren't even the right color read more

Terrible management. I've given this location numerous opportunities. They are always understaffed and slow. This last time was the last straw and I will no longer support this business. On Sunday, 6/24/22, I placed an online order and received a text the order was ready. Arrived at the restaurant and it was chaos. Three teenage employees trying to run the entire restaurant themselves. My online order was not ready - it was in line to be filled after countless others by one poor teenager who was in charge of filling all the online orders AND all the orders of the people waiting in line AND cash them out as well. One employee was cooking and the other was going between cooking and helping fill orders. I asked where management was and they said "on vacation." The customers were angry because they were waiting an unreasonable amount of time to be served or pickup orders they already paid for. How do you run a business like this? Why would you set your employees up for an impossible situation? Don't know if this is a corporate location or locally owned but whoever is in charge does not deserve my business. read more

I love Chinese food and live in EDH and every time I come here I wish I liked it but it's awful. The food portions are tiny for the amount of money you are paying, workers are rude af and the food tastes old. Overall not worth it. Get new workers and stop being so stingy food portions. read more

This place is such a joke when you do on-line ordering! I order my lunch on-line while I am at work so all I have to do is pick it up and go cause I only have a 30 minute lunch! Normally I love Panda Express, specifically for the speed. Today we walked in and they were out of several items, so we were told 5 minutes and the item we wanted would be ready, 10 minutes later I check and told now we are out of your side, wait another 5 minutes, go back and they ran out of something else. THE WORST - COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL !!!!! My family has eaten at Pandas at many locations in Northern Calif in past years - always delicious, fresh and well made. We moved to El Dorado Hills a few years ago - and decided to purchase from this Panda via DoorDash to support a local business ( 5 min away in our local shopping center ! ) during the COVID crisis. AWFUL ! Several missing plates, drinks and condiments - then I called the restaurant they (1) refused to connect me with the manager, (2) said they were TOO BUSY to help then (3) HUNG UP on me. I complained to the DD driver (who was very nice - but frustrated) and to DD Corporate. This was a Monday night. I will be making a point to visit this restaurant - and - demand to speak with the manager to voice my complaint. We live- as does this restaurant - in a VERY nice locale. BEYOND PATHETIC how they treat their local customers. I am a military veteran - and frankly, expect at least a respectful level of appreciation for our patronage. DISGUSTING. Exceptionally rude service. The food is just like every other Panda Express except for the experience created by the staff. They did not acknowledge our entering the restaurant and didn't say anything to us as we approached the order counter. We felt like we shouldn't be there. Very rude experience. How are you going to serve Grilled Terriyaki Chicken and not provide the terriyaki sauce!??? In hopes to avoid mistakes, we specifically wrote this in our pre-paid take out order along with other sauces, chopsticks... all were not included. What makes this worse is when I called to notify their mgmt about this, their response was, "there is nothing we can do for you...". We are trying to support as many local food businesses as we can during these tough times, unfortunately this Panda will no longer be on that list. read more

Food was old and not fresh. It was dry and had no flavor. Employees were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean and somewhat tidy.

I really didn't want to rate anything during covid, but this was just way too dysfunctional for me and I'd like to give others a heads up...the food was fine. The problem was that I ordered my food online several hours before (because time was crucial), but waited 30minutrs as I watched others who had also put in orders wait with me, outside- with no way of telling if anyone would bring our orders to us. We also watched, as we waited, how other patrons came to order and picked up their food within minutes (they obviously know you should never pre-order). I eventually threatened to just cancel my order and wait in the short line for my food - only then did I get my food. I also think they were training people and unfortunately, they really take training to heart bc the guy giving me my food counted the pieces of shrimp and measured the amount of teriyaki sauce, which is not helpful when there's a group of 20 outside waiting for backed orders. read more

I understand that business is tough during these times but I ordered a bowl with string bean chicken and chow mein, and an a la carte order of chow mein. Best looking Panda that I have been in. Every time I have tried the food, service has been quick and the food is really fresh. Staff is really friendly. Great location, no longer have to drive to Folsom. My kids are really happy we have a Panda in EL Dorado Hills. The only thing I wish this Panda would have is a drive through as sometimes you have issues finding parking at Town Center. read more

Really suggest you pass... Criteria is I want food that tastes good, a good price, and healthy. Last night my wife and I ordered mushroom chicken and spicy pepper steak. The price is $10.40 per box, oh, unless it is special. They do not tell you what is special. So, the price of the pepper steak was $14.40. 2 items including tax $28. When you get home, the box is not filled to the top. They could have put in a scoop for each item. So, not a good value. Taste? no flavor. Nothing. No spice . It is as if they forgot to add the spices. And, the food made my wife and I both ill. So, not a good value, not flavorful, and I will not let them make me sick again. I suggest you go to Chipotle for a better value and taste! read more

Too bad there isn't a zero star! Ordered online at 1PM for a pick-up at 6:15PM -- at the El Dorado Hills, Town Center store arriving at 6:10PM. The servers priority were the walk-in customers, with the online orders done between those orders. Not only did the online customers have to wait for their orders past the scheduled pick-up time, but they were told to 'stand outside' and wait for their orders (it was 108 outside). After serving all the walk-ins, even those that came in after me, and telling them that I couldn't wait any longer and the I would deny the credit card charge did I get the order. I had waited a little over 40 minutes for that order. I also noticed at the register that the servers/cashiers did not change gloves after handling cash, then went right back to handling food. Terrible idea to do take-out from this Panda Express in town center, EDH. While the taste was ok their portion sizes were so small that in the two entree plate, we got 4 small pieces of orange chicken and barely any in the kang pao chicken. There was just a scrambly mess of tidbits and zucchini. And we requested 2-3 packets of sauces which were missing. Plus we thought they'll call out our name when order was ready and after waiting for nearly 25 min when we went to ask they said yes it's ready and been sitting here. Went to this location for the first time today. It was 8 pm and they closed at 8:30 pm due to the pandemic. No one acknowledged us for 10 minutes. They were hoping we'd go away. When the young girl came there was no "nice" in her voice. She told us right away they may not be able to get what we wanted. There's no "thanks for coming in". Panda Express is one of my favorite places to eat but the service at this particular Panda Express was horrible. The workers seemed mad and didn't say hello or thank you and acted like I was the burden when I just wanted some orange chicken. When I get there they told me that they closed their kitchen and only had the food that was left to give me but they weren't closing for another 45 minutes and there was a line for food. I tried this new location tonight in EDH. I was hugely disappointed. My kids wanted Panda so I obliged and ordered through the app for pickup. When I arrived, the entire staff seemed to be stressed and frazzled while the customer's in the line and the counter seemed to be annoyed and frustrated. The app directs you to go straight to the register for pick up which I did...After 3-5 minutes of staff members walking by, not acknowledging my existence, I spoke up to the girl at the register. She told the manager about my order and he walked away. At this point I noticed 3 other patrons waiting for pick up orders; they were all annoyed as well. Anyhow, manager in the black shirt had to assemble another customer's order before mine then went back to the chaos and forgot about our discussion. I had to flag him down and remind him about the order I placed through the app that was supposed to be ready 20 minutes before. At this point, he went to the trays and put everything together right then and there. As of now, it's faster to walk in and order as opposed to ordering online or through the app. This establishment definitely needed more training prior to opening! I hope your team learns to work better as a team for both their sake and your patrons. On a positive note, you can only go up from here. read more
