After having tried and experienced all of the crappy fast food joints up and down the I-5 L.A. San Francisco corridor, we decided to give Panda Express a try. Normally I would not have Panda Express, however since the Micky D's and the J in the Box are simply unedible on this interstate, I went in. Wow what a refreshing meal. The restaurant was clean and the food looked good. The servers were right there to help you. We had the broccoli beef, kung pao chicken, Honey bacon chicken ($.50 more), stir fried veggies, orange chicken, with chow mein and fried rice. A-OK The servers did try to up sell some angus beef stir fry for $1.50 more. Decent meal. Bathrooms are clean. Better than getting cardboard food with a side of bad attitude from the burger joints. read more

i've never written a review for anywhere before but save ur time with this panda location and go to starbucks of the mcdonalds close by.. we ordered our food thru drive line, waited the usual amount of time in line and got our food. she first gave us our dr pepper, it was flat and watered down. no problem, we just asked for it to be switched with a different drink. i got my meal, and the orange chicken was crunchy like literal candy and did not taste fresh at all. the rice tasted so bland but the chow mein was good at least. the cubs meal came with apple crisps, and we didnt even receive them. i went in and asked them for it and they seemed confused and was like "who took ur order" i've worked in fast food for a while so ik its not that deep to know who took my order but to replace the item that was missed. one of our meals also had a white cream-ish color block of whatever vegetable was in a bowl that we got. mistakes happen, just make up for it, it's not hard. the girl who took my order was nice although the people inside didnt have the best attitude. even though there was a line, it did seem clean inside. but yeah save ur time from this place, not worth your money at all. read more

This place suuuuuucks the biggest balls. If I can give them a negative star that would still be too much. This place never has steamed rice! Like the most basic Asian item in any Asian food place they should have steamed rice it's the most important part of a meal in any Asian establishment. I'm a truck driver and I eat pretty clean and just wanted some rice and chicken nothing to crazy. Their fried rice looks like fried maggots and the noodles are covered in the worst kinda grease. I would love to say this Panda is worth the drive from Los Banos. The Los Banos Panda is horrible. This Panda is less busy and somewhat better run than the Los Banos Panda. However, if you order something, and they say it will take "5 minutes", plan on 20 minutes. Either that or order something else. As soon as they take your money at the window, you are now "low priority". The customers inside now take precedence. Neither Panda has "Super Greens" ready, if you want something healthy instead of starch. Always a wait for that. They'll always have orange chicken ready for fat kids though. read more

I don't know if I just came at a good time, but this is the best Panda Express I've ever come to. I'm confused by the low star rating. The customer service was great, food was extremely fresh, and everything tasted good. The portion was huge too. With that said most Panda Locations have about the same level of Quality & Service. We frequent this particular location a few times a month. On This visit in Particular Yesterday evening. My Wife & I ordered a 3 item Combo,Rangoon's,and Fountain Drink. The Manager Arcella charged $15.00 ,as a regular customer of Panda , I immediately knew I was overcharged. After I approached the manager about the over charges she denied ,refused to listen. The over charges explained. Should have Been Charged 3 item combo is $8.50 Rangoon's $1.90 Medium Drink $1.90 Tax Est $13.00 Actual Charges 3 item combo is $8.50 Sting bean chicken $3.70 Medium Drink $ $1.90 Tax Actually Billed $15.09 Did you guys catch the billing Trick? Instead adding the Rangoon's as an add on at $1.90 these tricky Manager purposely charges us for a meat entree add on at $3.70 very clever. After this I told her to refund our money all together after she refused to correct or acknowledge there mistake . Beware of Tricky billing practices although its just a few dollars. Came here during work. Expecting a lot of flies inside, since the westside of the valley seems to have alot of them. Didn't see one at all. Wow. Maybe its the vestibule. Place was very clean. No problem with my order. Food was good. Didn't have to wait for teriyaki chicken. It was already sliced up in a bowl. One negative, and this is at every Panda, the cups. Fairly decent and consistent with the other Panda's that I've been to. Fairly busy for a Thursday night so food turnover seemed ok. Venue was clean and seemingly new. As a well-eaten Asian, Panda is never really my first choice, but gives a decent Chinese fix when other Asian food isn't around. Food is basically slightly oilier than other "authentic" Asian restaurants, but taste and portions are fine. My go-to entrees: mushroom chicken, string bean chicken, orange chicken Family deal is a good deal for larger families-- fed my family of five with leftovers. I was told to wait in the parking lot for 5 minutes for my order. 20 minutes later the rude girl comes out and says nothing just hands me the food. I get home and 2 of my orders are wrong and I'm missing an order of Rangoon. I called the location where I got the food to ask for a refund and the "manager" there was beyond unprofessional. I told her I couldn't read the order number off the receipt because the ink must have been running low so the numbers don't show completely. Regardless I tried reading it to her and she said I was lying because she was looking at a receipt in front of her and it was fine. She claimed that she remembered me and my order even though she wasn't the one who took my order or brought it out to me and she claims that since she remembers my order she knows I'm lying and wasn't there for 20 minutes. I asked for the number for corporate and she gave me the number for the survey which I told her didn't work and she said "well I can't help you then" and just hung up . Pretty nice Panda Express; just off the freeway in Gustine, easy to access and easy to get food. The place seems to be pretty popular because there was a line both times I've been here. The locale is very clean and the servers are friendly. They have some high tables as well as traditional booths, so take your pick as far as seating preference is concerned. Bathrooms are clean and I like Panda, so this is a win-win if you're hungry and in the area in the midst of a long trip either up north or down to socal and below. read more

But the bigger issue was the staff... cutting up laughing, ignoring customers, playfully throwing things at one another (there were 2 customers in the restaurant, including me). I was charged for 2 sodas and the tea and again the worker had gotten upset that i told her i didn't want two sodas just one, this was her mistake and again had a look of irritation on her. She called over the manager and said i wanted a refund for the soda. While it's true i wanted my money back but usually as a crew member you have to recognize when you mess up for something the guest didn't didn't order. she just had a bad attitude during my whole experience. We waited for it to open at 10 am, after waiting 30 minutes they said they opened at 10, we told them it was 10. She came back to tell us they only had 3 dishes and tried to get rid of us.
