Food here was not fresh. Mushroom chicken was extremely bland. Shanghai beef, however, was very good and flavorful. Issue was that a ton of food was being cooked in big batches and left out for a long time with no customers to turn it over. Noodles are good and rice was mediocre. I really enjoy the food here, but this is the second time they have had me pull up and wait for over 15 minutes. They tell you at the drive through it's going to be eight minutes to cook a particular item, then while you are waiting for that to cook, they sell out of other items, so you then have to wait for those to cook as well. I called the survey and complained about this before, but no one ever reached out to me. Customer service is definitely not a priority here. Very disappointed. read more

I agree with other reviewers that this location was better when they first opened. Over time, their quality has gone downhill - they are frequently out of items and the quality is really hit or miss. I recently went through their drive-through and they totally screwed up my order. Not realizing this until I got home, I immediately picked up the phone and dialed the phone # on the receipt but they don't answer the phone! I was kind of going back and forth between 2-3 stars for this one but decided that since I think they are on the upswing I'll go with 3. To start - i love panda express. I have been to different ones all over the country from los angeles to washington DC to florida. I was so excited when I heard they were opening a panda express here in knoxville I actually wrote to the company to ask when the opening date was and marked it on my calendar! A little crazy but there is just something about their orange chicken it's like crack. Anyway, I went about a week after it opened and it didn't taste that good but i came down with the flu the next day so who knows. I went a couple of more times in January and was disappointed - it wasn't that good. I had a bad experience going through the drive through where it took over 25 mins and when I got to the window the lady announced they had "just" run out of one the dishes i ordered, would I like some other dish instead, no apology at all. I was pretty turned off by that place as I have never had a bad or disappointing experience at any other panda express ever! That is one of the things I liked about it was its consistency and this location was lacking that. I decided to try it again and was pleasantly surprised, they seem to have worked out the kinks and its back to the standard i had at other locations. The last two visits were good so I am hopeful that it will remain that way. It's still fast food so don't expect authentic chinese food or a romantic date night but it is tasty and easy. I seem to be getting better service through the dine-in/restaurant than the drive -thru, since none of the other locations I have gone to had a drive through I am not sure if that is the small sample size or a real thing but for now I'm going to stick to going inside even if its to-go. read more

First of all, this location is rather new and hopefully it will get better soon. This we my husbands choice. After driving three plus hours, we were tired and our daughter needed a diaper change. So I went to the ladies bathroom (single bathroom) and had to wait in line behind 4 people only to find out that there's no changing station! I was livid. I just cannot understand why any restaurant refuses to accommodate families with small children, but I had to use with what I had. After the 15 minute wait for the bathroom, we were finally ready to order. So we waited in line for what felt like forever to only find that the food bar was EMPTY! No orange chicken, no rice, no noodles, everything was gone! There was some beef and broccoli and black peppered chicken so we settled for that. It was so gross! The black peppered chicken was inedible because it was drowned in pepper. The beef and broccoli was just stale. Left a horrible taste in my mouth all day long. I came to Panda Express at Turkey Creek for the first time. I entered inside the restaurant and ordered a dine in order for an orange chicken plate with fried rice and honey walnut shrimp. I also ordered a chicken egg roll and one aquafina water bottle. Ruth, who placed my ordered, was nice and conscientious in making sure I was satisfied. Autumn, who worked at the cash register, added everything on my order right and was nice. The taste in my meal was great. The orange chicken was sweet and sour; the honey walnut shrimp tasted sweet and salty; fried rice was great; and the chicken egg roll was perfectly seasoned with the right amount of salt. THIS PANDA EXPRESS. IS. THE BEST. Today, my friend worked a 12 hour shift today at UT Medical, and she and I decided to go on a drive afterwards to listen to music and clear our heads. She wanted Panda Express, but we realized when we got to the drive through that the store closed at 9:30. It was 9:24. I told the team inside that we were so sorry, and that if the drive through was closed, we would go, but they told us it was perfectly fine, and they still could make my friend's meal. We felt terrible about inconveniencing them, and we apologized, but when we got to the window, they had given us extra spring rolls and cookies, then thanked us for being so nice to them. The people that work here are incredible. As someone who has worked in food, this is my greatest experience I have EVER had with a restaurant. The team at Panda Express was gracious, kind, and went above and beyond. I will remember their gesture every time someone asks for my patience - it made our night and we could not have asked for anything better. Thank you so much Panda Express!!!! read more

I must say I was pretty excited when I drove by this place under construction. It has been years since Ive eaten or even seen a Panda Express. I was there the first week they opened and wasnt really sure what to expect but I left with a smile on my face. Super clean (probably because its new), the orange chicken never disappoints and the service was speedy and the prices werent bad. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the franchise. Our table was dirty and so was the bathrooms, floor, sales counter, drink area. I am usually a fan of Panda Express, but I have had several bad experiences at this Panda. The garbage can is always overflowing​ and the ice machine​ is always empty. I can live with those things. What has really made a lasting​ impression​ on me is the service that we received on our most recent visit. I have worked in a restaurant and I understand that as an hourly employee​​ you want to go home when your shift is over. I try to be courteous​ of this, I try to not go into establishments that will be closing soon. BUT an hour prior to closing customers should not be treated as if they are keeping employees from cleaning up and going home. My family ordered​ items that were available but the customers after us order 'fried​ rice' which they were running low on. We heard the cook curse very loud because he was asked to make more fried rice. The food we received and the attitudes of all of the employees present were sub-par​. read more

I decided to stop by for a lite dinner around 6pm. To my surprise they were not overly busy. The restaurant was very clean. All the items on the line looked delicious & freshly made. I recently learned of a medical condition & can only eat small portions or meals. The graciously allowed me to order a Child's Meal. I felt so grateful. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki & Fried Rice with extra sauce. It was absolutely delicious. The chicken was grilled but tender. The fried rice was the best I've ever had. I used to fly to all the Asian Countries as a Flight Attendant. My hat is off to the Chefs tonight. The gentleman whom checked me out was so friendly & professional. He loves his job because it is obvious. I only wish I had asked his name & the young lady whom served me. The restroom was clean. The location is right off the parkway. Maneuvering around the parking lot in & out is a little awkward but worth the extra effort. I highly recommend this restaurant. The prices are very reasonable with nice portions. Another little reward... they allow you to sample items you might be interested in. I have no doubt if anything had not been to my liking they would have made it right.
