Concerning the quality of the food, I don't have much to say that reflects on the individual location. While the staff has been friendly and accommodating, the end results of the service have been frustrating and disappointing. I have ordered carry out on two separate occasions in the last month, and both times I have had to return to the store to pick up the correction to my order (notably with sincere apologies and fair accommodations). Additionally, each time I placed my initial order I have had to wait 10-20 minutes for the menu item to cook. OKAY BOO HOO I had to practice some patience, but that seems to be common feedback on here so I figured I would share as well. All in all, for the inconveniences that a customer is faced with at a business that is designed to be convenient, there is no competitive edge that Panda Express has in this area other than their Beyond Chicken option-and that shit slaps. read more

I wish I could give them a higher rating. The restaurant is clean and service is friendly. But the last 3 times I've gotten take out the food has been awful! It didn't used to be like that. I ordered from door dash because we are quarantined. I ordered $30 worth of food for 3 people in our house. I got 2 grilled teriyaki chicken entrees and there's not a drop of teriyaki sauce anywhere. They didn't give us any sauce at all. And then we paid extra for extra chow mein noodles and we got 2 things of rice and no noodles. This is the second time I have ordered and not gotten any sauce. None. Stopped in for lunch, had never been here before. Got the plate, two entrees and a side. Got the orange chicken and a chicken roll with fried rice. Nephew got just orange chicken and fried rice. We both thought the fried rice was flavourless and had a strange oil taste. The orange chicken was ok, not crisp though because it's all made in advance and sits getting soggy. Even though it's called "Panda Express", what they offer isn't quite Chinese food. The food I received here looked as if it was prepared by a high school home ec class. The chicken looked like the deep fried chicken nuggets from the bar down the street. The vegetables looked old and limp and the egg rolls were stuffed with a mystery cabbage mix with some frozen vegetables added for color. I ordered some white rice with my meal and that was okay, hence the extra star. This simply isn't Chinese food? It's fried food served on some rice? There are much better options in Monroe? Lichee Gardens downtown has been there for at least 50 years and their food is phenomenal and consistent. I'm disappointed I even tried this place. read more

I was out and my girlfriend messaged me saying she stopped and got us some food at the Panda Express...sweet of her for sure as I have never tried this place before...it always made me wonder why there are very few cars in line there. My food consisted of 2 little egg rolls I would call them...something called Pepper Chicken i think it was called...and something that looked like LoMein. My husband and I don't usually eat Chinese but figured we swing through the Panda Express drive through and give the new place a shot. We checked the menu online and had our order picked out before we pulled up, as not to waste time at a new place. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting in line for about 20 minutes and didn't see any reason for the wait until the server took our order; we weren't allowed to place an actual order because they closed soon (we were in line 30 minutes before close) and they would only sell us what was already prepared. Now, I've never had Panda Express so I don't know if this customary and standard practice but it's very disappointing. We were ready to never go back but the late night left-over food was unfortunately (or fortunately) very tasty. read more

If you haven't tried Panda Express, you're missing out on some great Sweet & Sour Chicken with fried rice. They also have other meal choices & they offer different portions of all their meals. Sweet & Sour Chicken is not on the menu board, but they do have it. I didn't care for their egg rolls, they are made with chicken, I had to deduct a star for that. The drive thru is pretty quick except one time, I went when they were about to close & there was a long wait! But they were so nice about it that they gave me a card to get 10% off my next 5 meals! Terrible! We had enjoyed Panda Express at other locations and were excited that this new store was opening near our home. Our first trip to the drive thru and they were out of some entree products at 6pm! We settled on ordering beef and broccoli for one of our entrees. We didnt get any sauces or plasticware in bag, unfriendly staff, and to top it off when we opened the meal with beef and broccoli, it didnt have one piece of meat! Just broccoli! My first and last visit to a Panda Express and I was very disappointed. I have never had such dry rice that it crunched. And the two entrees I got were tasteless. I felt the proportion of food to cost was way too high. They don't provide utensils or even a sauce. A sauce may have made the meal more palatable, but we'll never know. The employee in the drive through was very courteous and friendly but that is the only positive thing I can say. Telegraph Road, Monroe, MI 48162 (02/05/2018) Franchised Premium Chinese Food My wife had a taste for Chinese food so she decided to bring dinner home from this newest Nationally Franchised Chinese restaurant in Monroe, Michigan. If you have even experienced Mall Food Court Chinese this is similar! Servers work behind a cafeteria counter and dish up your order from vats of main courses and side dishes. Counter and serving areas were maintained in neat, clean and orderly fashion, if this was not true my wife would have turned around and left immediately! Waitstaff were pleasant, courteous and patient when explaining the ordering process. We appreciate restaurants that go to great lengths to give their customers a pleasant dinning experience. Each Entree included two sides. If you want egg roll or spring rolls they are extra. Our entrees consisted of: Honey Walnut Shrimp, Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken and Mushroom Chicken. Sides included: Chow Mein Noodles, Mixed Vegetables and Steamed White Rice. Appetizers included; two Spring Rolls and one Egg Roll. My wife dropped $24 for this carry-out order but brought home enough food to easily feed 4 people. This would equate to about $6 per person which is a great price for dinner. You can't make it at home for this price! It is a far better choice than a Big Mac meal for over $6! We have to admit that virtually everything we ordered was delicious. The Panda's signature dish of honey walnut shrimp was over the top great! The orange chicken and mushroom chicken were fantastic and the Kung pal Chicken had small dried szechuan peppers throughout and was incredible. Even my wife loved it and she does not like spicy Chinese! The chow mein noodles were some of the finest as was the mixed vegetables and steamed white rice. The egg rolls were nothing we would order again. They seemed overly processed and probably frozen beforehand consisting mostly of cabbage making the texture inside overly dense and mushy and they were heavily seasoned with five spice powder giving them an unpleasant metallic flavor. The spring rolls were also unimpressive! As a note, we love egg rolls that contain all mung bean sprouts and nothing else. It is not that Panda Express has bad egg rolls and spring rolls! You should definitely give them a try, you may love them! Over all, Panda Express is a great place for Chinese. Not quite as good as the local Chinese Buffet, just down the street, but much cheaper and far better than any P.F. Chang's! We plan to try everything on the menu! read more

Went here about 2 months after they opened. Ordered just one simple "sweet & sour chicken" meal after looking at the poor excuse of a menu (very little to offer). Was asked to pull up and park as they were just making chicken, and it would be about 4-5 minutes or they would just give me a refund. No biggie. Fresh is always worth a wait. I sat there for over 20 minutes and ended up having to go inside and it still wasn't done. All I got was a "sorry" and free entree coupon that I had to buy another entree to use. Food was mediocre.
