As always this is a popular spot and the food is pretty uniform. However the speed of service is just awful. Wait time is consistently 30 minutes or more to place our food order. If the older gentleman, who I assume is the manager or owner, is not working then the crew works in super slow motion. Panda is an excellent idea but the store in Paso makes it a second choice for us. read more

They had people waiting for so many different entrees cause they were all out and the cooks were so slow to put the entrees out.. mean while they are cracking jokes playing around and the servers are giving customers a horrible attitude cracking jokes with the cooks SMH. On 2-20-2021, I went to this Panda Express in Paso Robles (90 Niblick Rd). It was the worst experience I have ever encountered at a fast food restaurant over a $1 foundation drink. I spent $50 for my family on food. When I tried to get a refill of Sprite for my 8 year old son (who wasn't feeling well), I was told I could not get one. They said if I wanted to, I could buy another drink. I asked to speak with the Manager and was directed to John. John told me due to COVID-19 they were not allowing refills. I told John I was unaware of that and asked him to show me where it is displayed "No refills." John was unable to show me. I asked John for that reason, if I could get another drink for my son and he told me no and ask me to leave (After spending $50 there.) Customer service is horrible at Panda Express in Paso Robles. Unless you want to be treated like crap after spending your hard earned money, DON'T GO THERE! read more

The food tasted great. The Beijing Beef & the Orange Chicken were crunchy, sweet & delicious. I definitely loved the stir fried vegetables. As far as changing anything, I do not believe anything needs to be changed. read more

We got 3 kids meals & a 2 entree meal to go. The food was consistent & good. The store though was understaffed, not friendly or welcoming, and not well maintained. I don't think I saw a single employee smile during my 20 minute wait. There was also a puddle under the soda fountain with a wet floor sign which apparently was considered good enough as no one attempted to clean it up. read more

I normally enjoy take out from the Paso Robles location, but today my online order was fulfilled incorrectly, and I could find no one to contact about it. Their website doesn't make it clear how to contact, and the phone just rang incessantly. After a long time spent watching my kids swim, I just wanted an easy take out meal. So they gave me only 2 entrees instead of 3, replacing one entree with a second chow mein. And while I had ordered the medium spring rolls and medium rangoons, (for $5 - $7, I might add!), they gave me the small cheaper size, same price. Super disappointed, and hangry. I felt the need to delete my old review and start another. The store manager of this place needs to be fired. I stood in line for over 20 minutes while he was in the back on the computer during their peak dinner time. Line was basically to the back door. Starter was piling food up while the one placing entrees was confirming every order and making them, huge bottleneck, over 8-10 orders piled up and the starter wouldn't help until I suggested he do so. I'm an assistant manager of a fast food restaurant and never have I seen a fast food place run so poorly, hope to see changes soon. Also just threw my entire plate away, my white rice was so dry it was inedible, and my sweet fire chicken was under fried, and had so much sauce they had no crisp to them what so ever. read more

We ordered online. Went in to pick up the order, which unfortunately my husband did not look at until he got it home. There were items missing. They would not answer the phone. Then when they did right before closing, I was told I would have to come back to pick up the items. I asked for a refund, and was told I would have to talk to the manager, who was not available. This place is always seems to disappoint us. The staff always seem unorganized and never get orders right. They give very very small entrée portions and you always have to wait for food to be re filled. Staff is unfriendly and always appear unhappy and stressed. This review is not about the food. The food is great. This review is about the service. I decided to get sone Panda for dinner last week and thebline was decently long, but I was in no hurry. The person in front of me had a pretty large order so I expected a bit of a delay, no biggie. Once it was my turn to order I got a bowl with chow mein and orange chicken. Then the line got held up waiting 5 minutes for more chow mein and my almost got thrown in with the people's behind me. There was absolutely no communication between then2 girls taking orders and the blonde one looked like she was falling asleep. They almost skipped me completely as well as orders getting orders backed up with styrofoam piling up all over the line. Once I finally got my food I went to go find a seat. Literally EVERY table was dirty. There appearantly weren't any spare employees to clean the restaurant. I can understand if someone was sick or something and they were short staffed, but a clean lobby should come before anything else. I think I will take my order to go next time. read more

Panda is my go to for my Chinese cravings. I've always had pleasant service on exception great service. Today however was the worst experience. The portions were extremely small and Logan the young man who rang us up was EXTREMELY rude. He was short, in a rush dropped the receipt to be signed in front of my husband, our order was to go I had to ask for a bag which was apparently put this young man out. This place was really disappointing The line was very long, but, they didn't have anything ready. People were waiting for about 20 minutes to get orange chicken. I asked how long it would be for brocolli beef and they told me it would be 7-10 minutes. I said that was fine, however, when I received my food 20 minutes later, I had no meat...NONE. I had 3 pieces of brocolli. They appeared to be properly staffed, but, they just weren't ready for the rush, I suppose. read more

Seeing some of the lesser reviews, I figured I could share my experience. I typically go any time in the evening. I have not had to experience many lines and when I have, they certainly weren't a 20 or 25 minute wait. I don't think I have every waited more than 10 minutes. Establishment seems to be clean every time and when the trash is full or customers spill things, I have always seen an employee in route to clean it up. The food: I was deployed for all of 2015 but coming back I noticed that some recipes had changed. However, I give it an easy thumbs up in my book. read more

I use to love Panda . I use to eat at this Paso Robles location at least 2 times a week but for the past year 2016 every time I go I try to be there when it first opens for the day just so I can get freshly cooked food . But even at 11:00 when they open you walk in and the place is sticky , dirty and smells not good . Any time after 11:00 there will be a long line cause of being under staffed . They should have line servers that do only that , you should have cooks that just cooks , and people to work just the register and handle the money and not the food and or containers . They should also wear gloves when cooking and or serving food and also wear hair nets cause I've found hair in my noodles and raped around a piece of sweet & fire Chicken . I've asked the tall oriental manager to please wash his hands after handling money before you touch my container and handle the food . He got upset and just went around the corner and turned on the water but did not wash his hands so I walked out and my husband followed me out after his container was all ready made . So needless to say you have lost at this location that I know of is 13 people that I've talk to and of course my friends and family so your looking at about 30 or more customers. read more

Panda Express is a very good place to eat. It does get extremely busy and there are few workers. When I asked the workers why there were so few of them they had told me they were hiring and that no one was applying. So apply if you need a job! Other than that I love this place, I hate the people that complain about it being too busy. HELLO its the only Panda in Paso and if it bothers you so much how busy they are go somewhere else instead of crying about it on the internet. read more

I will never forget what happened to me: One rude food helper. When you call attention to hearing louder than mumbled onscenities they attack you. They attack you and shove your plates across hoping it falls behind the counter and the look on their faces imply food should have been scraped off the floor. I said excuse me. Nothing said he avoids eye contact but aggressively stares. Stares when I get the rest of my order and pay for it. Terry obvious anger issues won't change from each visit. You can tell by the way he holds back and what he responds is unsettling. The elderly woman in front of me experienced no worse but embarrassing comments from Terry. Standing next to me she tells me some days he doesn't have name tag and he purposely lied saying his name was Jeff. Terry you called the old lady "age old rich white snot" because she wanted to wait for fresh food.you thought it was justified and reasonable? Guess she didn't think the same. She was right to call you "shithead". Terry didn't like she replied back. Terry started yelling in his language. So loud I had to tell Terry to stop from further abusing her. A little while later I overhear elderly woman getting dismissed by rude manager. Manager didn't take complaint serious while adding "my boss won't help you and I won't help you. Not everyone will like their experience here". Who is your boss to get away allowing abusive behavior towards your guest. By her tone it wasn't the first time abusing strangers. Elderly woman gave the old finger. Hilarious manager turned red with anger. Seems fair reaction from action. Never coming to this drama panda. read more
