Service is fast but the cooks need to keep the choices full. Don't wait until there's only two orders left especially if people are steady walking in. Yesterday after ordering we has to wait for our noodles. Our plates were made then sat for 10 minutes or more waiting for more noodles to be cooked. More communication between front staff and line cooks.. and more attention to the cleanliness of the tables. Just absolutely love this location. The servers have been great. Never had an issue in hearing them as to what they are saying and asking. Other locations it has been difficult to communicate with the servers. When having to wait, the cooks worked quick. By the time I was rung up at the cashiers, the food was hot and ready for pick up just on time. Plenty of parking as there's also parking available at Walmart which is just a walk away. Last time I came here the servers were just as awesome. The greens wasn't welted. Still held it's texture giving a nice bite to them. I actually like this Panda. Ever since I found out I'm allergic to msg's my love affair with chinese food has been put on hold. I was devasted. But then I remember. Panda doesn't use msgs YAY! Panda Express has a predictable menu. When I'm on the go, I know what I'll get when I drop in. I went yesterday evening and it was sooooo PACKED. The pandas team was in rush hour and they were working fast. Working fast is not entirely a good thing because you miss details when you do. I know the young lady who worked the first portion of the line (steamed vegetables, rice, panda special and etc.) was probably stressed because she was rushing, she messed up on my order and I felt like she was tryna rush us along. When my friend asked for a sample (because the young lady didn't ask if we wanted to sample anything), I felt like she was a bit aggressive that she dropped some food on the way back up with the toothpick; only to have my friend ask for a shrimp (it was the steak and shrimp sample and she only gave a piece of steak); which made her dig back in and pop back up. I don't do chow fun (the texture makes me gag ). I know it may seem like something small to some and although in some cases it is, but I'm anal about my food the quality of my food, from it's taste, it's look, it's delivery and the service in which partaked in it plus, I DON'T DO CHOW FUN. I feel like when the young man (he was cute lol, I think his name was Romeo(?) Anyways, I think he was new because he wasn't sure how to react when I told him that, "I didn't order chow fun, I ordered chow mein") tried to tell the girl it was wrong she sort of brushed it off and told him to do it. Not to mention she was helping the gentleman after me and I could tell she was frustrated because they both were going a lil back and forth with what he was ordering because they was a some kind of miscommunication going on. Now, I understand there was a rush and she probably felt overwhelmed but she should learn how to fix her face cause I could read it all over it that she wasn't pleased, but honey, if you got it right the first time you wouldn't have had this problem (lol I know, I tell it like it is). Other than it being pretty packed and the parking here being really really sucky because it feels like the stalls are extremely small (they really are though. The food was what I expected. I always order chow fun, orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp and beef broccoli. I usually order too much and save the rest as leftovers. From time to time, they have specials that are an additional charge to your bowl/plate fee. I've tried the steamed fish, which is also OK. This particular Panda Express isn't bad but it isn't great either. They have the typical dishes the other locations do with the exception of hot and sour soup, they unfortunately do not carry it. Also, they are really stingy with how much they give you of each item. Typically at Panda Express locations they pile on loads of everything you get, this place is not the case. They were even stingy with how much sweet and sour sauce they gave out. They only filled the tiny little cup half way! So cheap! If you're craving Panda's and this is where you find yourself, just drive to their location in Waipio, they hook you up there and you get more for your money. The parking lot can be a bit hectic since it's small and there's a bunch of eating places around there. This particular Panda has a bunch of tables if you want to eat there and they do a pretty good job about keeping the place clean. All the Panda Express restauratns recently changed up their menu and replaced their mandarin chicken with a grilled teriyaki chicken - MUST TRY IT! 10.23.13. Terrible parking situation. Although the lot is supposed to be two-way...ya there's a lot of cars that kind of "own" the lot, ifyaknowwhatimean. It's usually the weekends that are crowded, as this lot is for a number of take out/dine in food places. Sometimes traffic will move pretty quickly if people just pick up food. Panda Express occupies the largest space in this little food complex. There is both indoor and outdoor seating where you can enjoy your food. Very clean & I believe there are bathrooms. So, while I was standing in line, this lady behind me decided to hoover right behind my shoulder. Um, get out of my bubble please?! Some people have no concept of space or consideration... Clearly, I was already a little irritated...but the employees here were were so friendly & cheered up when they started heaping food into my plate. I have to applaud the staff here for being VERY generous with portions--I def had two meals! They were even super generous with the starches, even when I asked for half & half. They were however a little slowww...but I guess that could be attributed to the decent line & the fact that they had to keep making new batches of entrees--if anything, the food was fresh and delish as usual!! I wanted to try the new Japanese place, but turns out it doesn't open until Sept 5th or so. So I opted for Panda Express instead. It reminds me of a Chun Wah Kam, but less options. We had the teriyaki chicken and mushroom chicken with chow fun and white rice plus a medium drink. Total cost about $11.00. The person helping us forgot to put the teriyaki sauce on the chicken, but luckily we were dining in, so we were able to get a side sauce. Three stars. I am comparing Panda Express to to Chun Wah Kam becasue they're so similar. They have 3 stars because they give so much less food for the price, although we were able to share the plate. read more

I was looking for Sweet Sour Pork but that was not available. I would have ordered one of their newer dishes but those cost extra. Lucy started the encounter with the sample, which I decided to try the new super greens- broccoli combo (such a great addition to the sides in my opinion!), and accommodated my request for my meal. She exceeded my expectations of customer service and did it all with a smile. She definitely deserve proper recognition for her service. Angelica was also very sweet. Once the King pao chicken was don't cooking, she topped off the line of plates immediately, bagged it and walked it over to me and another waiting customer. Great job girls! This is the first Panda I've been excited about. Firstly, they finally offer brown rice as an option. Secondly, feature a few wok dishes under 250 calories. And, thirdly, the kicker for me was seeing the refrigerator wall stocked with freshly cut veggies. I settled on the Samurai surf and turf with brown fried rice because it sort of looked a little healthier than the other fried dishes. Since they add another $1.25 for this entree, I was looking forward to something good. Needless to say, it wasn't worth the premium flavor-wise. I didn't savor anything special with the cubed Angus steak or the small shrimps with green beans. I was disappointed that they added cubed potatoes in the mix. What's "Chinese gourmet" about that? Wok fried flavor was also missing. Disappointed by my selections, I sampled bots off my partners two-entree plate. Of the orange chicken and wok-fried string bean with chicken breast, my favorite was the latter. Definitely, this had the wok-fried appeal unlike my own "wok fried" dish. The service, especially on Sunday evenings, is barely noticeable and the quality of the food and size of the portions is highly unacceptable. I ordered the noodles and found slices of the cabbage core mixed in with the noodles. I ordered the mushroom chicken and there was barely any chicken in it. If you order the walnut shrimp, they will give in a small amount the put it into one of those small containers. I wasn't a big fan of Panda Express before but now I refuse to go back to the Pearl City one. It doesn't seem like they put much effort into refilling the food pans because all we got was the leftover pieces at the bottom of each pan. Very disappointing. read more

This review is basically on the Honey Walnut shrimp that they just added to their menu. I like Panda Express in general for what it is which is fast and pretty decent food. Of course we all know there is better but who hasn't eaten here. So in all honesty, the Honey Walnut shrimp is pretty tasty for a fast food joint that takes you less than 5 minutes for the whole process of ordering, paying and then eating. There is a sign that says $1 more if you choose such item, but I got the kids meal and it cost $0.50 extra. The walnuts are delicious as most candied walnuts are. I'm definitely a fan of it and wouldn't turn it down if it ever came my way again. read more
