This location is supposed to be open at 10am, but they NEVER are. Even at 10:30, they rarely have anything ready to serve their customers. A lot of days, they post a hand written sign up on the drive thru speaker, stating they cannot take any cash that day. I finally asked what that was about and it's because they have no change to give cash customers. My guess is poor management. The food is always great...when they actually have any to serve, but I leave here without food more than I actually have been served, because my lunch is from 10:15 to 10:45 and it's just so rare they are ready to serve by then. read more

Okay Wow! Where do I start !! My review is based on management and customer service, specifically the manager Jessica. I placed a dinner order online at Panda Express website approximately at 6:40. My order said would be ready at 7:07. I arrived at the Prescott Az. location on time, and I was told politely that my order wouldn't be ready for another 10 mins. (Okay cool no worries) bought soda went outside waited 12 mins or so just incase. Then waited politely another 30 mins. by register. Then asked if my order was ready yet ? Then the cashier asked me my name for pickup as if we have never spoke. Then I over heard her asking her co worker to start my order, to her reply " I can't I have to process this order". Okay .... Interesting I thought. Again I wait..... Then both employees come back to register and tell me that are going to refund me. ???? Huh? Whoa what just happened ? Did I miss something? I asked to speak with the manager and then the cashier came back and told me the same thing. I asked again to speak with manager, because I was confused by how this was handled. The manager, Jessica then came to register, and YES !! She said that she was going to refund me. !!!!! Whoa !!! I thought !! So I can't purchase a dinner for my family here ? I explained again to see if maybe there was a misunderstanding. Nope, they turned me away that easy. At that point they had served everyone and no one was in line. They could had served me at that point, but chose to handle in this manner. Jessica told me my money would but refunded in 7 to 10 business days and put it on me and my bank, as if it was my fault. Okayyyy then I went to Prescott Valley location. and repurchased with zero problems. What was the deal with the manager Jessica ?? Why did she choose to deal with this issue in this manner ? I'm not sure why there are so many poor reviews about the Panda Express, but I've eaten here about 15-20 times and have never gotten sick. There are issues though. I've ordered Kung Pow chicken about 5 times. The first time, it was great. The last 4 times the quantity was barely detectable. The teriyaki chicken was delicious in the two entre plate, but where was the kung pow? I finally found it. It was about two tablespoons of kung pow, with 2, 1/2" pieces of chicken in red peppers. They obviously gave me the scraps they had left, 4 times! I won't order that again. Yes, they omit teriyaki sauce if you don't remind them. Yes, they rarely have brown rice. In summary, this is a very poorly managed restaurant compared to all the other Panda's I've eaten at. That said, the employees work very hard and I appreciate their effort to provide the public with a nice, delicious meal. No one is perfect. I'll be back. read more

My daughter's Tennis Team stopped here on the way home from dinner at about 5pm on Thursday, March 10, 2022. My daughter had the honey-almond shrimp and fried rice. She and at least three of her friends got violently ill with food poisoning about seven hours later. We haven't heard from the rest of the team yet, but I'm sure there are more to come. Very sad to get anyone sick due to poor food handling, let alone the High School team. So sad for our girls. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I reached out to the specific location as well as their corporate offices. If I hear anything back, I'll update this post. Please, if you have gotten food poisoning here, report it to Yavapai County as well. I've read some other reviews on here, and now I"m not surprised at all the girls got food poisoning. Truly shameful and unacceptable! UPDATE 3/11: I called the restaurant to speak with the manager. She said she was unaware and sorry they had a bad experience. Did not offer to make it right. This is the 4th time the people at panda express messed up my order and some of it was missing on top of it all. I was actually not going to write a review , but me trying to call and complain about my order was unsuccessful as it rang off the hook, then hung up on me, and got a busy signal the last 2 times I called (so apparently they refuse to answer calls)- now I feel like writing a bad review. I used the drive through at about 7:50 or so pm, 5/13/20 ordered a plate of beef and broccoli, Teriyaki chicken and chow mein. And a side of Rangoons... There were no Rangoons, no teriyaki sauce and I got five huge pieces of broccoli, absolutely no pieces of beef and the broccoli was undercooked and couldn't chew it very well. Because of covid 19 I couldn't bring it into the store and complain and drive through was backed up complete with idiots honking at each other so I waited to get home to call. So here I am now. I won't be ordering from Prescott Panda Express again unless some sort of epic change happens... Hey fellow yelpers, if you want a good place to eat, I got three wicked awesome recommendations: Park Plaza Liquor and deli.. They have some of the best Mac n cheese you will ever have, among other food items that just are out of this world. Taco Don's is Phenominal. And lastly, Aliberto's on White Spar. Every time I come here , every single freaking time, I am asked to pull forward for 3 minutes for my order. It always turns into 5, and despite telling the window I want extra soy sauce, the employee that walks out the order never has extra soy sauce. They always have to go back in for it, there are usually pissed off and not very customer service when they bring it back. I have to add I only go here during dinner hour, so why don't you have a full supply of entrees given it's dinner time for most folks. The employee that came out tonight to deliver me the extra soy sauce just dumped in my hand and walked away. I was trying to talk to her but she just didn't want to hear it. I have been there when the drive-thru was closed off with chairs, and when I had to go inside I was told they did not have enough staff to work the drive thru... Are you kidding me!?! This is a chain like McDonald's Etc, can you imagine McDonald's closing down their drive-thru as I don't have enough staff... Food portions scanty, not prepared as requested and pricing too high for quality of food and size of portions. I was very disappointed in the order received yesterday, September 9th at the drive-thru. I ordered two separate bowl items of Kung Pau Chicken and Broccoli Beef. I specifically asked that the orders not be combined as one of the entrees is very spicy and the other bland. When I arrived home with the bag, I was surprised to see the order contained less than 4 oz of each of the bowl entrees, combined in one container, which also contained only three tiny spears of broccoli and a small portion of the chow mein as the side ordered. The chicken and beef dishes, although in separate sections of the containers had leaked together thereby making the order for my beef dish inedible for the individual who cannot eat spicy food. I'm repeatedly utterly disappointed. They always seem to be out of the large size entree's I want. The excuse (repeatedly) is that they only make small quantities of each item in the mornings. It's interesting that they have enough of everything at 10:15am but never at 10:45am. Then they want you to wait for it. The whole idea of going through the drive through is the convenience of speed. Yet, it's too often they make you wait! This last time, 2 days ago, I ordered Kung Pao chicken - they didn't have enough for a large entree. Then I asked for Pepper chicken - same response. So, trying to come up with a solution, I asked if they could combine those 2 items (same price) to make enough for a large entree. This time the response was, "can't do that." Seriously? You can't compromise to fulfill an order for a large entree? I was really annoyed and said, "I can't wait for you to cook the food. You've made me late for work several times already. I'm leaving. Thanks!" And I drove off!! I must add that the young lady at the window was very apologetic and polite. Recently I signed up for Panda's online ordering system. It works very well. It's easy to make even the most complicated order, as well as larger takeout orders for a group of picky people. It's much better than writing everyone's order down and sending someone to the drive thru. That just never seems to work well. Speaking of drive thru... When you order online you can pick up your order at the drive thru. You can even pay for it in advance online. The only negative we've experienced is when we called in after an online order was placed, and asked for some certain packaging. We were told no problem, but they didn't follow thru. Maybe that is too much to expect from a fast food joint. We usually stick with the Orange Chicken, Beijing Beef, Garlic Chicken, and Mongolian beef. I like that one of the side choices is fresh vegetables, which are excellent. You can order "half & half" for your side, so I go with half noodles and half fresh vegetables; that reduces the carbs and gives more of a balance to the meal. Is Panda top flight Chinese food? No, but it is tasty and definitely fills the bill for those restaurant style dishes that cannot be duplicated in a home kitchen. I gotta say, I have been to this location (#1780 in Prescott) a handful of times in the last year that I have lived here. I have not had one good experience here yet. And now, the last time I will ever go here... I have been disappointed yet again, just on a larger scale of dissapointed this time. I placed an order online through the app which I have set up with all my info as this makes it easier to order in a hurry if needed. In the "special instructions for the kitchen" I indicated "no vegetables in the chow mein". I picked up my order, which was ready on time and picked up by me when it said it would be ready (15min on the nose)... first off, my food was only luke warm. I then decided to check(in my car) if there were vegetables in the chow mein before I left. There was Infact vegetables in the chow mein. I double checked my order receipt just to be sure the message was received before going in to complain. I am sick right now, but needed to feed my (autistic) son.... so that's why I ordered online and picked up in the drive through... I didn't want to get out of the car. I put my mask on, went inside with my bag and was met by the manager asking if there's a problem. I said there was supposed to be no vegetables in the chow mein. She then said "that's how it comes, that is the recipe it has cabbage in it" as she pointed to the chow mein in the bowl under the lamp. That's it. Nothing else. Now... maybe by chance they don't wok their food "fresh" as they indicate? Mmm... I did see them cooking behind her. Sooo, you're telling me if there's an allergy to a certain item you can't make it without? Okay... that's even a possibility I guess? But to #1 be rude, then to #2 not give me a call when preparing my food that had already been paid for after seeing a request, that for whatever reason could not be fulfilled to either give me another option or offer my money back ... is completely un called for. Being sick, I really didn't even want to deal with it... I just took it home and proceeded to take out the cabbage myself. To my disappointment, it was half cabbage!!! Then, my medium mushroom chicken was mostly RAW zucchini!!! THEN... my orange chicken bowl had maybe 4 pieces of orange chicken!!! I can't believe I paid $20 for this garbage and then to be treated rudely on top of it all. Panda Express has officially just lost the business of my whole family (and I have a large family)... and I will be sure to let all my friends know too. Panda Express... you need to pull your crap together if you plan on bringing business in to stay open. Worst franchise location I've been to in the country. Always out of food. The wok is rarely cleaned, which is why some of the meats and noodles taste like old grease. Haven't been so disappointed in a while. Ordered "a bowl". They had no bowls. Put the entree and chow mein noodles in separate containers....filled to the top. We were eating in so, just had to take bites from each container. They had no napkins out. When we inquired the cashier said to get paper towels from the restroom. There were none. Not very dependable. Sometimes the dining room is open but most of the time it is closed. I think they are using COVID as an excuse to keep the dining room closed.
