Pre ordered some food for a good-bye party. The party platter beef broccoli dish cost me $41 before taxes. When I picked it up the dinning area was still closed from Covid. I knocked on the door and was ignored by the staff for 5 minutes. When they eventually acknowledged me, I asked for my order that had already been paid for. They made me wait outside and brought it to me. When I got to the party, no one touched the beef broccoli. The broccoli was dry, and there was very little beef. I went here to pick up lunch today. Used the drive through and was there about 11:15. I wanted to order the honey chicken, and was told it would be a wait for that. So I requested the orange chicken, and was told that that wasn't ready either. So I asked about the kung pow chicken, and guess what? There was a wait for that too. This was completely unacceptable. 3 dishes out of 7 or 8 were unavailable!?! I don't have a long lunch break and didn't have time to wait. This restaurant has the worst customer service imaginable. First off the dining room was closed. Rialto, Highland, Fontana all have their dining rooms open. I went through the drive-thru and ordered with a man's voice. I told him I didn't want to try his refreshment drink and he says would you like to start with a plate. I said yes two of them. I gave my order. When I got to the window they asked me if I wanted to donate to some children's fund. I told them no thank you. I handed the girl a $20. She said they don't have change would I like to donate. I told her no thank you. She told me then I have to have exact change or pay with the card. So I counted out $0.79 and gave her the $20 bill and $79 and she gave me back a dollar. Then she handed me my food. Although it had a bowl and not two plates. I questioned whether or not this was my order. She said it was and that's what I ordered I said excuse me but that is not what I ordered I ordered two plates. And told her what they were. she said no I didn't the order in the bag is what I ordered. I said I beg to differ with you I did not order it through you I spoke with a guy. She said that's what I ordered I said no it wasn't please take back the bowl and give me a plate like I ordered. She then returned with the same bag and one of those little red cups and said that's teriyaki chicken. I said that's not enough. I want what I ordered. She huffed slam the window shut. Walked away. Came back open the window and threw the bag into my car. Stating, "here's your food be happy with it" and slammed the window shut. I was very upset. I got out of my car and screamed I am a customer and you will not treat me that way. I then pushed the bag of food towards the window and demanded my money back. Over and over I demanded my money back. The manager came and told me to go around the front. I said no I want my money back. She said she was going to call 911. She showed me your phone dialing 911. I told her that's fine we'll wait for the police to get here and work it out. Or you can just give me my money back. She asked me about a receipt I searched through the food on the ground and my car and found it in my pocket. Again she told me to go around the front for my refund I told her no I'm going to wait right there in the Drive-Thru. Eventually I got $19.79 back. I left my food on the windowsill and on the ground outside the drive-thru window took my money and drove to the Highland restaurant and got my order. I will never go to Redlands again. Come to think of it the manager there doesn't know why I was so upset. Or at least my side of the argument. I yelled at them that I would get them fired. I had something different--but the meat was tough and I could not chew it easily. They constantly pressure you to donate money to their charities and if you say "no" they ask to round the amount up. I really dislike that they ask you for donations in the first place and then not taking no for an answer makes me mad. When you say no, they announce it internally that you are not rounding up. Well Panda Express has found yet another way to disappoint me. Normally when I drive thru I have to check my order because 99% of the time they have left something out of my order. Or tell me to go park out front, because it's going to 5 min til my order is ready. I go park out front and it's never less than 20 min until I get my food. But tonight I was craving Chinese food, and wanted to drive through, so I ordered online for pickup. When I got in the drive through line and told them I ordered online, they said "oh you can't pickup an online order in the drive thru-you have to go inside. So now I'm stuck in the drive through line -there are people both ahead and behind me. So I waste 15 min trying to get out of the drive through line-this is SO RIDICULOUS! Why would I come to a drive through restaurant if I wanted to have to park my car & go inside -having to touch the germy door handle twice and be in there with other people? Not to mention that I arrived on time to get my food, but by the time I could get thru the "we won't serve you food line", it was 10 min past my pickup time. I go into the restaurant and find they have the online orders out on the tables (where people would normally sit)- and you just have to go thru bags until you find yours! It's not under a heat lamp-just sitting out there getting cold, with other patrons rifling thru bags, trying to find theirs. No one mentions that your name is on the receipt-printed by the register on the receipt. So people are opening food trays, looking for what they ordered! I am going to report them to the health department. None of the employees pitch in to help the confused customers find their (by now cold) food. Yes, my food was 100% cold when I got home. Pretty standard for a fast food place. They have a drive thru but I prefer to go inside and see what's fresh. There's ample seating and never too crowded. It's pretty quick to get in and out of. You can order ahead if you're in a hurry and pick it up within 10-15 minutes. I was told to use the app for a discount. So I went thru the whole process for the app to say it had to be ordered thru the regular website. There was a line but the cooks kept the wok busy and entree selections replenished quickly as directed by the hardworking supervisor (there's a drive through window as well!) There is a positive energy in such efforts. The staff was friendly and efficient. Portions were generous.
