This is the second time in a row that I have gone there and the same thing happened. The manager refused to make it right. The kids that work there could easily do a better job managing. Every time I come to this location the staff is clueless and dismissive. I ordered ahead of time on the app so I could walk in and get my food quickly. I arrived to the store 5 minutes after the ETA it gave me on the app. At this point it had been 30 minutes since ordering on the app. When I got there, my food wasn't ready. It was pretty busy so I understood. 5 minutes passed and the people I walked in with who had not ordered ahead, were leaving before me. The line was moving faster than my now 35 minutes old order. I was pretty annoyed at this point so I was trying to make eye contact with the employees, maybe they forgot about me?? Finally they start making my order. I look up and the employee says "here's your food" while rolling her eyes and carelessly puts it on top of the glass that covers the food. No "sorry for the wait" nothing. Every time I come here the employees are so rude and careless that it makes me question if thats a requirement to work here. I usually give staff the benefit of the doubt because let's be honest who wants to be working here, but this time it was beyond unacceptable. It's a fast casual restaurant, you pretty much know what to expect and while that maybe true, the staff set this location apart. 1pm lunch and was greeted and helped quickly with my order. I was asked if I wanted to try any samples and if I wanted to add an appetizer. I tried the Firecracker shrimp and appreciated that the employee said it would be hot (temperature wise) and spicy. As my order was going, the cashier helped me quick as well- asking if I wanted a bag, fork and if I wanted to add a drink. With my change as I paid in cash, I was asked if I wanted to donate it to their philanthropy branch called Panda Cares. It was nice and clear which items cost extra too Everything was fast and quick, with my food hot and cooked well. The shrimp had about 6-7 pieces for a 2 plate entree which was pretty good and the classic orange chicken was good too. The half fried rice and half chow mein could of used more seasoning but it all worked together. Been here lots of times and it's consistently good. There are teenagers that work here as with most jobs like this but they are generally polite but sometimes not the most knowledgeable...that's just how it is right? I stopped here to grab some dinner after I went to Target tonight. Even by giving 1 star - I'm being generous. I was served by Sebastian and I must say - I had not been to Panda Express in a long while and with the very low service he gave, I will not be back I understand - a teenager maybe early 20's if even. This is not the dream job! But he seemed extremely annoyed helping me. Just constant eye rolling and rude behavior. I was very close to either asking for someone else to help me or leaving in general. If I'm being polite and saying please and thank you for your help. I don't understand why if you chose to work here - you have an attitude?! Doesn't add up! My friend and I ordered fried rice, orange chicken, beef & broccoli and teriyaki chicken and a few cheese wontons. No more than $16 spent - but at this point fast food would have been better. The fried rice was pretty bland - no flavor. Broccoli was really crunchy in comparison to beef & broccoli is usually more cooked and not almost raw broccoli. My girlfriend and I love Panda Express and usually make the drive to this location because It's the closest to our location. Unfortunately After countless trips to this store (including tonight) we won't be supporting this location. The food is always good, the store is always spotless, but if you plan on eating here within an hour and a half of closing there's usually nothing left and the staff is put out if they have to make something fresh for you. It's happened time and time again both before and after Covid. Won't be back unfortunately...tired of feeling like I'm an inconvenience when there's still an hour to go and they don't want to make any dishes that are out. read more

Came here the other night after making a trip to Home Depot. It was a little later in the night probably around 7:30 - 8:00 pm. I was surprised that everything was still full and hot. Only to find out she was talking to drive thru, just as the other 2 front end workers were doing. I was on my lunch today and I went in and asked if I could do a bowl but maybe less of the side and more of the entree. If that wasn't an option, all they could have said is no or that it would have been an extra charge. But instead the person working gave me less rice and half of the serving of the entree instead of more? They looked me dead in the face and gave me less on purpose. I used to work in the food service industry and this just wasn't cool. They could have given me options but instead I left with half the amount of food for a ridiculous cost. Bad news: Panda Express is a soul-less chain restaurant. Good news: It's the best Chinese food in Newberg. Eden Gate is so wretched that I'm not sure you can call what they serve "food." Lucky Fortune is marginally better, but not much. Happy Family once served me hands down the worst orange chicken I'd ever tried to eat. I think it was made with frozen orange juice. Bad news: I showed up right when they were supposed to be open. I sat in the drive thru lane for a few minutes. When no one acknowledged me, I parked, went inside and was told that they'd be opening 30 minutes late that day. Good news: They expedited cooking the entrees I wanted. I was even offered a complimentary drink while I waited. Summary: I will be back, if only because Newberg's other Chinese restaurants are so bad. Chan's of Dundee is under new ownership so no telling how they will be going forward. Still Panda Express is decent, fairly priced and closer than Dundee. That's probably good enough for them to make a go of it. Note that I ate at the Sherwood location once. I thought the portions were stingy and the food not very fresh. I never write bad reviews but 3 people out of my family of 4 got food poisoning from having Panda yesterday. Within an hour of eating we had severe stomach cramps and diarrhea that lasted for hours.
