Combo Dinner 6

Delicious food! Hot and tasted fresh. Warm, inviting restaurant. Will definitely be back. Service was friendly.

This is sesame chicken? I don't think so.

Oh Yens. What has become of you. Used to be our go to place, but wow has it slipped! Tonight was the final straw. My dad liked his shrimp fried rice, but the pork fried rice was....not good, to say the least. The pork was SUPER dry and had a weird, sickly-sweet taste to it. We ate about 1/4 of it and threw the rest out. The kicker, though, was the "sesame chicken" that was anything but. Instead of what most people would expect (brown, sticky, sweet sauce with sesame seeds, we got plain breaded fried chicken pieces (like you would get if you ordered sweet and sour) with.....3 plastic containers of ketchup on the side. Not a sesame seed in sight. I thought they might have made a mistake and sent us sweet and sour sauce by accident, but no. It's ketchup. When I called, they tried to tell me that this was normal and that it was "homemade" ketchup, and that they include it with soy sauce and sesame seeds (which weren't there) so we can make our own sauce to put on the chicken. Yeah right, pull the other leg, it plays jingle bells. The upside is that they refunded the cost of the sesame chicken, which is nice becasue I tried a piece of the chicken and it was GREASY as it could be. If I had tried the rice before calling, I would have asked for a refund for it as well. Pretty terrible, and it pains me to say that because I used to love this place. Do better.

This place has horrible food and service. The food was greasy and the flavors were off. The large portions did not make up for the low food quality. Also, $6 for a mediocre cup of egg soup is ridiculous. Never going back again.

One of my friends from Ohio loves Chinese American food, including Lemon Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Egg Foo Young, Broccoli Chicken and Egg Drop Soup. Yen's is his favorite Chinese restaurant in the Portland Metro Area. I, on the other hand like Shiitake Black Mushroom Beef, War Wonton, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and Moo Goo Gai Pan. As a Chinese American, I also love their Tomato Beef Curry Chow Mein. Chinese American food is it's own authentic cuisine. It's down home country comfort food for some of us. Yen's is our favorite Chinese restaurant to meet half way since the menu is quite diverse, and the portions are large. If you don't see what you want on the menu, you can ask them if they can make it for you, especially if you know the Chinese name. For diversity, they have an American Food section on their menu, which includes hamburgers, fries, mashed potatoes, grilled cheese sandwiches, fish & chips, and chicken nuggets. This works when your dinner date only eats American food. I must admit, Yen's food is really good. Yen's is open for indoor dining. They have 4 rows of booths, which helps with social distancing and privacy. Yen's also has a large private dining room perfect for meetings or parties. Diagonal street parking makes it easy to park.

General tso lunch special. Lots of food. (My bowl from takeout)

The chicken chow mein is the best. The veggies are crisp and crunching and the flavor is excellent.

Very bland tasteless food. I will look elsewhere for some flavor. There is no seasoning that I could taste at all.

I received a glowing recommendation from a dear friend for a luncheon destination in Lake Oswego,…read moreand the experience proved to be absolutely delicious. Upon my arrival, the initial transition was entirely seamless, as I was able to secure a perfectly positioned, correct parking space for my vehicle before venturing toward the establishment. I crossed the threshold into a beautifully curated venue sporting the prominent signage: Lung Fung. The property has an immense amount of truly wonderful elements to offer its guests. The interior architecture is exceptionally well-conceived, elegantly featuring an intimate small bar alongside a marvelous arrangement of highly desirable, exclusive private seating. A thoroughly charming gentleman extended a remarkably warm greeting and elegantly showed me around the space. The venue boasts an exquisite, traditional Asian-style decor that brought me a completely fresh, revitalizing feeling. The seamless combination of their aesthetic taste and elite hospitality was nothing short of amazing. On the superb guidance of the staff, I selected a curated pairing for my afternoon course: the Green Beans and Tofu, accompanied by the Beef Fried Rice. The efficiency of the kitchen was highly commendable, presenting the hot entrées precisely eleven minutes later. The culinary execution was an absolute masterpiece. The green beans were prepared to an immaculate standard crisp, vibrant, and absolutely delicious. Furthermore, the beef fried rice was remarkably generous, beautifully abundant with high-quality, tender premium meat. I have become entirely enamored with this delightful Lake Oswego sanctuary. The flawless service, pristine preparation, and comforting ambiance made for an absolute treat of an afternoon, and I shall most certainly be returning for future midday refreshments

Shocking... I have ordered from them for years. In recent years I discovered a favorite thing to…read moreorder is an appetizer platter because it's a little bit of everything - fried shrimp, spring rolls, BBQ pork, crab puffs, and short ribs. I also order their lobster puffs which are a wonton wrapper purse filled with lobster, crazy good sauce and a touch of shredded carrot. This time I was in shock. All the meat was so overcooked that the pork was gray. The short ribs were almost charcoal cinder... the burned meat was next to all the other appetizers which, well, ruined the entire thing. So, I figured at least the lobster puffs were separate and looked amazing. I bit into one and it wasn't foul... it was just very confusing because it tasted completely different... I looked at the other half and was like wait... that's not lobster... that's a shrimp... so, I thought maybe it was an accident one off... nope, so apparently they switched to shrimp and are still charging for lobster... WOW. Let's say the restaurant ran out of lobster... I could completely see letting a customer know. That was not what happened here and as a customer, I am not a fan of being lied to especially in a world where people have allergies to proteins. Thankfully I'm not allergic to shrimp. I am allergic to being lied to.

There is one huge…read morereason, they use significantly less oil in their dishes but still use quality ingredients where the flavor stands out without the oil. Typically at most Chinese restaurants, especially fried dishes, you'll see a pool of oil at the bottom of the dish. This is not the case here, and their sauces also keep their oil usage to the minimum. The food doesn't feel as heavy, and they nail most of their Szechuan flavors well. Their service is always fast and friendly. There is a gentleman in glasses that is always happy to serve and answer your questions. He is always happy to pack your food for you to go if you have leftovers as well, which is a lovely gesture. They have very cute decorations inside, from lucky cats with fortune cookies in their mouths, or a painted wall with a Panda cooking delicious food. I'd steer clear from their soup dishes, most of them lack flavor. I highly recommend their Chopped Pepper Fish and their Jade Tofu items though. Very flavorful and not very heavy! Plenty of parking is available which is lovely for eating in Portland, do not let this spot be missed if you've never tried it!
